New Year Resolutions - Week 50 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

Hi Guys,

Week 50 - Sat 10 Dec 2022 - Fri 16 Dec 2022

Now we are in our 50th week of 2022 and I am hopeful that you are liking these posts on my blog it's going to be my 10th year of The Life's Way. Though I have not achieved a large amount of success as I could not devote myself to creating networks and sponsorships on my blog I did get a large number of press releases and invites to several events throughout the last 10 years. Some of the things I have done in my life are only because of The Life's Way that I would not have explored also.

1. Daily Walking - I only did around 16.89 kilometres during the course of this week as I was flying out of the country on Friday 16th Dec. I didn't take count of all the kilometres walked in Johannesburg and Kenya airports while reaching the necessary gates. In Kenya, the gate almost closed when we reached there because it was on the far end and it took some time to come out of the plane and then queue up for bathrooms and then for security checking. My total is now around 958 kilometres out of a 1000 km journey. Will I be able to do something in Mauritius is a question now?

2. Entertainment - I watched the CAT season 1 on Netflix and totally loved the same. It stars Randeep Hooda as a spy who helps the police catch the criminals by becoming one of them and joining their gang. Then I watched Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery which was not so difficult to solve in my mind. The same is also available on Netflix. My wife is using the Netflix membership exclusively from the start on her phone and TV. We only get to watch if she is not watching anything or we watch together as a family.

New Year Resolutions - Week 50 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

3. YouTube Creators Summit - It was my first time ever speaking in front of so many people about myself. There was a hesitation for sure and nervousness to top it up. I prepares some answers but totally forgot them. I just said what came to my mind on the journey I remembered during the course of 2022 in YouTube Shorts. It was great meeting everyone at the end of 2022 and good to know the plans they had for the rest of the year.

4. Travel to Mauritius - This was my first time ever on an aeroplane after a gap of 3 years as I last travelled in Feb-2020 when I came from India via Dubai. What I have observed is that if the flights are going on time, everything works fine and if there is a delay or cancellation then the staff on the ground is too confused that they don't know what to do! I had problems with Kenya Airways while coming back but no communications no replies etc has been received. The staff kept sending us to different counters and the whole night was spent at the counters at the airport. Never ever flying again with Kenya Airways. It's better to go to Mauritius using the direct South African Airways flight rather than roaming to other countries and reaching there. Lesson Learnt!

5. theSalt - My only sponsored posts came from this influencer platform and I did 5 campaigns for them for brands like Uber Eats, OneCart, Ensure, OneDayOnly and SAB. They give you cash that gets deposited in your bank account which is much more beneficial than the free products we don't need or use. Also, they don't deduct any percentage of commissions as you get what they will tell you upfront at the start of the campaign. Also, as an added bonus there are always some gift vouchers or products that come as additional benefits which makes your earned money go a long way! My recent desk setup which had the arm for a monitor came using their ZAR 1k gift voucher only! So what are you waiting for? - Join using my link and I will welcome you at the other end of the influencer marketing campaigns - https://app.thesalt.co.za/join/ynwjv

I hope that I will get new campaigns in 2023 and will earn some money that can help me to build and enrich my lighting and other accessories required for the video creation exercise. I think I am definitely in need of a Mobile gimbal and secondly a dome light where I can control the temperature and brightness and softness as my main light.

Cheers!!!

New Year Resolutions - Week 43 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

Hi Guys,

Week 43 - Sat 22 Oct 2022 - Fri 28 Oct 2022

1. Daily Walking - I saw the total amount of kilometres left to reach 1000 km so I bucked up myself post the Diwali festival and reached 25.42 kilometres this week. I was able to cross 780 km due to this effort during the course of this week. I definitely have strong willpower.

2. Money - I am still tied up to a single paycheque kind of income at the end of every month. This way you can survive on Planet earth but can't become rich. You will have to get into the money mindset and growth mindset. I am definitely going to become rich as I have the potential to be one and I have to take off this dependency on a single source of income in the coming days. This is the area I need to focus on in 2023 for sure. I have to take out all the ifs and buts from my mind and work towards action and execution of stuff to increase my income multifold.

3. Entertainment - I didn't watch any web series or movies during this time as you only watch them when you are getting bored. I intend to take binge-watching lightly in 2023 for two reasons - first I am not doing any reviews about them and secondly, I am not shooting any videos to review the same. Both of the things are not earning me anything so why waste time watching stuff that's not fetching me anything?
New Year Resolutions - Week 43 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay
4. School Fees - I paid the whole annual school fees to take some discount on the same but then the school accounts department was not accepting the respective discount. The flow of emails flies and still the issue remains. I think the better option is to give monthly fees and invest the amount of the annual fees in some assets which can fetch you interest on the same as they only give you a 5% discount whereas you can easily earn 7% of interest in your banks.

5. Healthy Living - I was getting down to take rest by the afternoon and this led to lazy evenings with the body not being able to cope. I booked an appointment with the Doctor to get through all kinds of health checkups. With my age now of 42 years, I need to take regular health checks for sure. Money will come and go but health is something that can only go. You have to take conscious efforts to build a good healthy heart, body, mind and soul.

Totally loved the Diwali festival as it brings a lot of lights, fun and desserts to the life. Wishing you all a very Happy Diwali! Enjoy the festival of lights! Cheers!!!

Cheers!!!

A Memoir - This Month Last Year - Jun 2021 www.thelifesway.com #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends,

The Monthly review of last year's posts has been lagging behind due to more focus on creating new content for my YouTube channel and now let's try to maintain the continuity on these posts as well.

1. A Memoir - This Month Last Year - Jun 2020 www.thelifesway.com #TheLifesWay - As I look at it, June 2020 was when I posted many self-written posts and also in Jun 2021, I did review a lot of web series that I watched. Check this one out for so many web series and movies I reviewed before investing your time into watching one.

2. MAHARANI @SonyLiv #MaharaniOnSonyLIV #Political #Drama - Maharani Season 1 was an amazing web series and recently this month only I watched Season 2 that have been released on Sep-22. The story continues in season 2 where they left off and the acting of Huma Qureshi seems authentic and genuine as Rani Bharti. She has put a lot of strength into the character and I have watched the same because of her only. Check it out!
A Memoir - This Month Last Year - Jun 2021 www.thelifesway.com #TheLifesWay
3. The Family Man Season 2 @PrimeVideoIN #TheFamilyManOnPrime #Thriller #Crime - The Family Man is one of the top web series if you search on IMDB and it indeed is because of the acting of Manoj Vajpayee. The second season was more brutal and lethal in terms of bringing more action into the storyline.

4. @HuaweiZA Launches The All New #HUAWEIBand6 in #SouthAfrica #MoreThanABand - Huawei launched their Band 6 last year during the month of June 2021 and this was one of the events which I attended in person after a long while. This time they launched the same in the month of August 22 for the Huawei Band 7 and Huawei Watch Fit 2. My daughter has been using the Band 6 since it was given to me last year by the Huawei South Africa team. Thanks, Huawei!

Let's post all the pending posts on my blog as we are going to complete the 10 Years anniversary of The Life's Way on 22-Dec-2022. If any brand wants to sponsor some prizes to give them away, we welcome them for the same and can do all their press releases for free as always.

Cheers!!!

New Year Resolutions - Week 13 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends,

This is the last week of the first quarter and only a day falls over to April 2022. I have had so many achievements in terms of living a healthy lifestyle and giving proper time and care to stuff I wanted to give but still, there are many failures that I was not able to control. There are multiple tasks that I could not complete since Jan-22 and those are really a burden on my heart and mind. Even after writing them down on my analogue and digital productivity systems I have failed miserably to do it. I have also found out that I am lacking some kind of strength by the end of the day to carry on working. I need to check on the multi-vitamin tablets and also follow some kind of diet that can provide me more energy to carry it late into the day.

Week 13 - 26 Mar 2022 (Sat) to 01 Apr 2022 (Fri)

1. Daily Walking - In total these 13 weeks, I have walked around 278.50 kilometres which I recorded on Huawei Watch GT 2e and sometimes I forgot to even on the device so that actuals should be a little more. For week 13, I could only do 16 kilometres as I was down with Flu mostly. Overall it's 18.50 kilometres more than the intended 260 kilometres for 13 weeks. I am very happy that I could achieve this with consistency and fire in the belly to walk and achieve 20 kilometres every week. I want to continue doing it throughout the year to cross 1000 kilometres of walking and listening to audiobooks during the same.

2. Thank You - The new counter got dropped off and stopped working this week and thankfully I had bought a second one as a backup so I switched to the new one. I completed around 30000 Thank You during this week and I am really happy that I could do it despite all the hurdles. The overall count for the whole 13 weeks I don't want to spend time checking and calculating today maybe someday when I have nothing else to do.

3. Audiobooks - I didn't progress much on Chris Ross - Never Split the Difference as this is more like a textbook that you need to learn and apply. It's an exercise book that you need to think about and apply to your day to day negotiations skills. I also started reading I Love Money - Suresh Padmanabhan (2nd Edition) on my Kindle Keyboard. Overall so far in 13 months as per Goodreads 15 books out of the intended 25 I wanted to read in 2022. I am sure I can take this count to around 35 by the end of the year.

4. Hanuman Chalisa - I completed 39x Years of Hanuman Chalisa this week and now I have less than 1000 x Chalisa path left to reach 42 Years of the target I had set in my mind. It has taken me more than many years to carry on with this exercise but consistently since 2020 I have been working on this goal. I am sure it will be great to achieve this one but for March 2022 I made a goal to do a daily average of 30 times which I did successfully despite some days I could not pray at all.

5. Entertainment - I saw Sonic 2 movie in theatres with family at Sterkinekor in Rosebank. My wife and daughter went to see Morbius too at the same venue the very next day. I also watched the Oscar-nominated and winner movies CODA and King Richard after all the controversy that happened else I would not have spent so much time looking and analyzing the goonj of thappad. I also watched some episodes of Is It Cake? on Netflix which was awesome to watch.
New Year Resolutions - Week 13 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay
6. Blog TheLifesWay - My blog www.thelifesway.com completed 3.6 Million pageviews this week which is an achievement in itself as I have reduced the number of posts since last year and spending more time on myself as compared to earlier waiting for PR companies to send me stuff and invite me to their events. Despite covering all their press releases most of the time I was not invited and never given any kind of benefits whatsoever. Why waste my time supporting those PR agencies which are not helping me in any way?

7. Launch Events - I attended the Oppo Launch event of the Reno 7 5G smartphone for the first time ever and I received a goodies bag too for the first time from Oppo. The first thing about the smartphone was the dual camera setup with 109MP and 64MP combination which is never seen in a segment like this one. The weight of the smartphone is also very light making portability really great. The same will be unboxed in my Youtube videos soon which I could not do last week because my voice was affected due to the Flu. Video creation is so much dependent on your health as compared to writing this blog post but both I could not do when I was sick. I also attended Youtube Shorts for Africa with the Google team which was really great as I was also given an opportunity to tell everyone about my channel but nothing happened as no new subscribers joined the channel after all so the community etc is just doesn't make the cut as your own small community which you need to nurture.

8. Money - Monthly salary was the only income I received this month too and this is something I have to change in the coming months of 2022. I needed to create a wealth mindset which I am sure I could not do in the first quarter of 2022. I will continue to focus on the wealth mindset throughout 2022 to attract more money into my life. The Life's Way has not earned me anything in the first quarter of 2022.

9. Youtube Channel - I now need to focus on earning some kind of income from Youtube and for the same, I will start posting more and more videos from all the gadgets I have in my life. This is an exploring phase where I need to check what is my niche shooting all kinds of videos with all kinds of gifs and other stuff which bigger Youtubers are using these days. I can play around with the top camera shooting approach and also check on different kinds of light setups within the means available to me without any further investments in photography and lighting equipment.

10. Social Media - Leaving aside the first week of Jan-22, the posts on Facebook and Instagram have been a daily activity going on from 8th Jan to 8-Apr so far. I now need to create more posts showcasing my photography skills because that is what I have had all these years. I can't switch to something else now thinking to work on another skill. I am good at what I do let's enhance it further. Let's celebrate your good things and improve where you want to improve for your future self. Your right self-image shall drive that conversation and your efforts should be towards achieving that image.

It's a long post as I combined the quarter review also into Week 13 to reduce the number of efforts of making a new image with the text etc. I love Canva which helps me create all these amazing pictures for my blog posts as well as Youtube thumbnails. I am so grateful to see that with a weekly focus on certain tasks a lot can be achieved if consistent enough to make it happen. For the things where I lagged and failed, I am coming for you too.

Cheers!!!

New Year Resolutions - Week 9 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends,

Week 9 started with a great trip to Pretoria via the Gautrain #FreetoMove campaign where they invited people across Johannesburg and Pretoria to use the Gautrain and buses and enjoy a trip with their family to any location where the train goes other than the O.R.Tambo airport. I and Keisha went from Sandton to Pretoria and subsequently to the Pretoria Zoo only to return back as the queue to enter the zoo was a kilometre long if not less.

Week 9 - 26 Feb 2022 (Sat) to 04 Mar 2022 (Fri)

1. Walking - I did walk around 20 kilometres this week but only recorded or switched on my watch for around 17.5 kilometres. I took a whole round of the Rosebank mall from the bottom floor to the first floor only to find that the Incredible connection shop is just 50meters away from the escalators and the main entrance. I really feel great to be walking as and when I feel like and listening to audiobooks while walking. For 2 months completed in 2022, my overall kilometres recorded on Huawei Watch GT 2e is 186.62 kilometres which are for 9 weeks comes out more than 20.74 kilometres per week and that was our goal. I am really happy that I completed the same overall despite losing it for a week or two.

2. Daily Prayers - I completed the 37x Years of Hanuman Chalisa on 28-Feb as this month went really slow in terms of prayers. I made a rule that I have to get to around the 1000 mark by the end of March-22 which means I have to do around 30+ per day. I am tracking the same closely and will reach there hopefully.

3. Entertainment - I watched a lot of movies this week - Death On The Nile (Movie) starring Gal Gadot at Montecasino @Movies on Saturday afternoon alone and The Fame Game (Netflix) web series starring Madhuri Dixit on the binge-watch on Friday night. I also completed the Season 11 of The Big Bang Theory along with Kapil Sharma's I am not done yet episode on Netflix.
New Year Resolutions - Week 9 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay
4. Launch Event - I was invited to be at the TimesLive event with Gautrain which was a webinar I registered for but got to be part of the in-person event. I won some goodies there which will come to me soon and then I will reveal them to you on my Youtube channel.

5. Thank You - I completed around 41000 counts during this week and it's really a great experience to continually be in a state of gratitude and gratefulness all the time. This is I will say one of the best habits as promoted in the book by Ken Honda - Happy Money.

6. Audiobooks - I completed The Courage to be Disliked by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga and this is one of the books which you need to read too so I plan to revisit it a little later once my goal of 25 books for the year is complete. I feel now I am covering books at the pace I used to earlier in my life during Engineering and MBA. I started listening to the Happy Sexy Millionaire: Unexpected Truths about Fulfilment, Love and Success by Steven Bartlett which I am also loving.

7. Social Media - Consistency is the key as I am now scheduling content to go live every day on Instagram and Facebook channels. I want to implement the same for the blog posts and Youtube channel too. Also, stopping posting the press releases has given me a lot of time to walk, read and for completing other things which are worth some importance to me rather than being dependent on the brands to send me their event invites and later some gadgets to review etc. I am only doing what I want to do and nothing else. It gives me a plan to pitch to the brands in a manner that is comfortable for both parties. If they don't revert they know why I am not promoting them and if they revert it's a win for me and them.

March 2022 is something that has arrived now and I am really prepared to complete all my pending tasks from submitting insurance claims to school admissions for kids. I have also started shooting the videos which are coming on Youtube and the same are now part of the daily posts on IG/FB too. Let's see the response of the public and then will go for some more creative approach to promote them again as I am still so far from the 4000 hours of public watchtime.

Cheers!!!

SKATER GIRL @NetflixSA #Movies #Sports #Skating

Hi Friends,

If you want to watch something which has a lot of soul and will bring you tears of joy and pain at the same time and worth your every second spent in this 107 minutes long movie released by Netflix on their platform on 11-June-21. The Skater Girl movie spans a story of a village girl and her day to day life where she is helping her family doing household chores and not going to school because her school dress is now small for her growing body. Enter a girl from London named Jessica played by Amrit Maghera, who came to the village to search her father's roots from the place and incidentally meets Prerna played by Rachel Sanchita Gupta and her naughty little brother Ankush played by Shafin Patel.

The kids are introduced to the skateboard as one of the friends of Jessica, Erick arrives at the village to meet her and brings a skateboard along with him played by Jonathan Readwin. The skateboard matches the design of something similar the kids used to play and Ankush is being dragged to school by Prerna every morning using a rope tied to one of the board with 3 wheels.

The story is set in a small village Khempur near Udaipur some 40kms away from the city where Jessica arrives and brings about a change as her duty towards fulfilling someone's dream. She comes across that Prerna is not able to go to school just because of her school dress, she buys her the same and as Indian's we don't trust anyone easily, her mother is seen asking her what's her selfish motive and why did she accept the gift from her?
Skater Girl @NetflixSA #Movies #Sports #Skating
Meanwhile, Erick's board gets popular as he tries to teach Prerna and she feels so free balancing on the same for the first time in her life. She tries to do it using her homemade trolley but it doesn't have the swiftness of the skateboard. Erick lets her keep the board which gets accidentally drowned in the lake. Jessica sees the spark in the kids towards skateboarding and buys them a whole lot of skateboards for everyone. As kids start to become normal with skateboarding making it a little difficult for the villagers as they start skating inside the markets and other spots of the village. The kids also start missing school as they are having more fun enjoying skateboarding.

It's really a touching story as Jessica faces issues with the villagers and especially from Prerna's family for motivating her in so-called boys sports. She continues her fight and finally opens up a full-fledged Skateboarding park, the first in the state of Rajasthan with the help of Udaipur's Royal Family played by Waheeda Rehman. Meanwhile, Prerna continues to show some great efforts to learn the sport and puts in a great belief in herself to reach a place where she gives wings to her dreams and tries to fulfil them. It's really a nicely directed movie by Manjari Makijany and music by Salim-Sulaiman adds to the overall feel of the movie. A must watch I must say and kids will really enjoy the movie a lot. Acting is superb by each and every character and there is no dragging of the story. You won't want to stand up unless you have finished watching the whole movie in a single go. I totally enjoyed the same.
RATING - 4.5/5

LUPIN Season 1 @NetflixSA #Lupin #Crime #Thriller

 Hi Friends,

LUPIN caught my attention due to the Louvre museum and the theft happening around the same and I was missing the Money Heist so thought of watching the same. They also showed Monalisa painting on the show in one of the scenes inside the Louvre. I also saw that this was only 5 episodes long so thought it will be finished soon but little did I know that the story won't end in the first 5 episodes and I will have to wait for 11th June 2021 for the second season to watch the next 5 episodes. Also came to know that the third season is also in the making considering its huge success after the first season came out in the French Language first in Jan 2021.

You will definitely fall in the love with the main lead character played by Omar Sy and the story from the famous novels Master Thief named Arsene Lupin which is a character created by Maurice Leblanc. The novel even was compared with the Sherlock Holmes trying to find Lupin in one of their novels is what I could gather from the material available on the internet. I am definitely going to go through the English version of the books. For the time being, I am reading the Complete Adventures of Feluda by Satyajit Ray which is printed by Penguin Books.

#TheLifesWayReviews LUPIN Season 1 @NetflixSA #Lupin #Crime #Thriller

The whole series is shot from flashbacks to the present moments and keeps you glued to your seats. The characters are nicely developed during the first 5 episodes and it all starts with the guy trying to find the real reason behind his father's death who was framed for the theft of an expensive diamond necklace. The main lead is Assane Diop which has his unique way of living his life despite all the bad happening around him. He tries to master the book on Arsene Lupin gifted to him by his father on his birthday just before his death. He secretly imbibes all the characteristics, behaviour and thinking pattern of the master thief from all the books written on him. He starts living his life as a gentleman and develops a charismatic personality and is being helped to gain the right education from a secret person providing for all his expenses to go to a good school after being an orphan. Meanwhile, it's shown that he does a lot of robberies as a con man fooling the whole people around Paris and making a living out of the same. Then came a time after the initial 25 years, when he starts to plan for an act of revenge as he is able to decode the last letter from his father where he gets a confirmation that his death is a forced murder rather than a suicide. The story starts building up from there and the first episode keeps you glued as there is a theft involved while some parts of the other episodes throw some light on his childhood and other parts of life to date.

I really loved watching the whole series but the first episode is much more fast-paced as the diamond necklace is stolen once again as compared to the later parts of the episodes where the whole process is explained and then again the story starts picking up speed from time to time as the main protagonist picks up several clues about his late father and similarly slows down too as the main character always stays in control and one step ahead of the police and other parties i.e. Pellegrini family who is behind the death. This keeps on happening until the final episode where he is taken aback as his son gets kidnapped and the viewers are left wanting for more action and mystery to be disclosed. Definitely worth your time on a weekend or if you want to wait till 11th June 2021, you can binge-watch the whole 10 episodes then on Netflix South Africa. Till that time -  keep reading and stay safe! RATING 4.5/5

#TheLifesWayReviews - CLASS OF '83 @NetflixSA #Crime #Movie #ClassOf83

Hi Friends,

Class of 83 is directed by Atul Sabharwal and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment especially Gauri Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Gaurav Verma. Class of 83 is based on the novel The Class of 83 written by S. Hussain Zaidi and published in October 2019. The movie is released on Netflix OTT platform on 21st August 2020. This is their 3rd collaboration after Bard of Blood and Betaal also on the same platform.

The movie stars Bobby Deol as Vijay Singh who is the Dean of the Police Training Academy in Nashik and has been posted there as a punishment because of his heroic acts to grab the gangsters of the city. He is posted there by the politicians who had collaborations with the Gangsters of the Bombay at that time. He tries to clean the system from inside using his own methodology by recruiting the people and commanding them to directly kill the gangsters and clean their tracks too.
#TheLifesWayReviews - CLASS OF '83 @NetflixSA #Crime #Movie #ClassOf83
Dean finds 5 people from the bottom of the class of 83 who comes for Police Training and recruits them to work with him to clean the system. This movie is the story of their training, missions, ego and greed as these 5 young recruits go through life. The movie is the story of all these 5 people with each other and played by Bhupendra Jadawat as Pramod Shukla, Hitesh Bhojraj as Vishnu Varde, Ninad Mahajani as Laxman Jadhav, Prithvik Pratap as Janardan Surve and finally Sameer Paranjape as Aslam Khan. The story is narrated in the voice of Aslam Khan and also his point of view to take yours through the story. The story takes a turn when Vijay is re-introduced into the mainstream system to catch and bring back all the 5 of these together again to catch the don he is after.

Coming to the acting and direction, Bobby Deol looks good in his dean role and as a police inspector too but has only 2 expressions in the whole movie. The others don't get much more chance to other than a scene or two to showcase their talent. The five recruits do showcase some of the good moments as a part of their bonding but the overall plot has nothing to offer as you already know what is going to happen. I have been a fan of all the books written by S. Hussain Zaidi and have read a lot of them on various DONs he has written.

Anup Soni plays the politician Manohar Patkar and Joy Sengupta plays Raghav Desai who plays one of the best friends of Vijay. Also, the movie is shot in this brownish kind of effects and filter to bring back the old era but to me it was irritating. I think it would be great if you would rather watch Ajay Devgn's Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai as there is nothing that comes out of this movie in terms of any historical significant strategies used by the police, only 1 case is able to generate your interest and also one kind of network in terms of Telegrams and Postman's from GPO which is new in this movie. Overall, it's a one-time tiring watch but if you are a fan of Bobby Deol, do watch it! RATING 2.5/5

#TheLifesWayReviews - GUNJAN SAXENA The Kargil Girl @NetflixSA #Movie #Biography

Hi Friends,

Netflix released Gunjan Saxena The Kargil Girl, a real-life biopic on the series of events in the life of Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena as she becomes India's first female combat pilot in the Kargil War on 12th August 2020. The movie is 1hr 52 minutes long and the lead character is played by Janhvi Kapoor and she does her part well to tell the story of a girl who wants to fly a plane to getting enrolled into the Indian Air Force and then facing the men led environment where there are no female toilets too. Janhvi Kapoor looks cute and beautiful and played her role really well but I don't think she will be able to become the likes of Kareena Kapoor or Vidya Balan or Kangana Ranaut, but that's for the time to decide and let's focus on the movie on Netflix.

The movie is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Zee Studios and Apoorva Mehta. It's difficult to produce a movie which has to showcase any kind of Armed Forces and in some of the scenes, the whole drama looks fake and not real. The film is again fully on the person who can take any movie towards something people will enjoy - Pankaj Tripathi plays Anup Saxena - Gunjan's father who really gives her equal rights in his family and gives her a choice to do whatever she wants to do. The father-daughter relationship is the best that you will relate to and the scenes between Janhvi and Pankaj are awesome.
#TheLifesWayReviews - GUNJAN SAXENA The Kargil Girl @NetflixSA #Movie #Biography
Angad Bedi plays the big brother of Gunjan - Anshuman Saxena who is also a soldier in Punjab Regiment as shown in the movie and tries hard to save his sister from the harsh realities faced in the forces and tries to bring it to her awareness. Ayesha Raza Mishra plays Kirti Saxena mother of Gunjan and brings some comical moments in the movie. Vineet Kumar Singh plays the role of Flight Commander Officer Dileep Singh and Manav Vij as Commanding Officer Gautam Sinha. It's the second time Vineet is seen in the role of a soldier after playing one in Betaal web series which is also Netflix production. Angad Bedi tries to look convincing but is not able to do so. The music is composed by Amit Trivedi and the songs suit the movie but nothing worth remembering.

The trailer really looked promising but the overall execution is not that great is what I felt. The other  IAF officers don't look real at all. The story is great but the overall direction could have been better. The movie should inspire young generations. The movie is definitely a one time watch but won't make an impression other than just being the love between father and daughter and the overall family. Overall, you can watch the movie this weekend to see what were the hurdles faced by the real Gunjan to join IAF under the SSC and thereafter to protect the country. RATING 3/5

Cheers!!!

#TheLifesWayReviews - DOOR KE DARSHAN @NetflixSA #Movie #Comedy #DoorDarshan

Hi Friends,

Door Ke Darshan a Bollywood Comedy movie which is now available on Netflix digital platform and is really a great watch if you remember the era of 1990s when the only channel we used to have was National Broadcaster's DoorDardarshan and it was a unique experience which was really great. It would not broadcast all day giving you time to work and play, will have programs scheduled every week, Chitrahaar used to come on Wed and Fri, News used to come every day at 840pm and some of the serials made stars using this special platform like Shah Rukh Khan and many more.

Door Ke Darshan stars Manu Rishi Chaddha as the Sunil Bhateja aka Cheeku who stays in a rented house along with his mother Darshan Kaur played by Dolly Ahluwalia and 2 kids. His wife is played by Mahie Gill and she has left him and living with her family near the Jama Masjid area in New Delhi. The kids are played by Shardul Rana as Sunny and Archita Sharma as Sweety. Darshan Kaur is in a coma since the past 30 years but family takes care of her and one day she shows some signs of improvement after listening to the name of Bimla. Doctors advise the family members to don't give her stress and they try to make it look like 1990. The family immediately transforms her room to look like those time and it is really hilarious and nostalgic to watch all those technology and stuff which is no longer used and is being replaced by new technology.

The owner of the house is Goldy played by Rajesh Sharma and his wife Geetu is played by Supriya Shukla and their daughter Twinkle is played by Mehak Manwani who is also the love interest of Sunny. Goldy does have his eyes on Sunil's son and it creates a lot of hilarious moments in the movie. Sunny's best friend is played by Sumit Gulati as Pappi who is the one who says the name of Bimla and they both didn't tell anyone who is Bimla till the end when it is revealed to the audience.
#TheLifesWayReviews - DOOR KE DARSHAN @NetflixSA #Movie #Comedy #DoorDarshan
The movie brings back a lot of nostalgic moments recreated by the kids and the family as they try to cover up all the mistakes. The older ones are made to wear school uniforms and walk like kids. The kids of the house are turned to become help and maid. They try to create DD news and many other things which makes you rolling on the floor. Manu Rishi Chaddha does her part really well and superb acting by Dolly Ahluwalia and she is really the heart and soul of this movie. Mahie Gill looks beautiful in the movie and the Shardul and Sweety have really played their roles well and suits in their characters. Mehak is a bright star and is already signed for big movies and web series. A whole song is picturised on her in the movie. The movie is directed by Gagan Puri and produced by Ritu Arya and Sandeep Arya. Music is from Meet Bros and it was released on 28th Feb 2020 but is now available on Netflix for your viewing pleasure.

Overall, it's a 119 minutes of comedy movie that will bring back all the memories people relived when Ramayan and Mahabharta were shown during the COVID-19 times and also all those stuff we used to use from wired telephones to alarm clocks to radio to cassette players. This is definitely a movie which you should watch with your family and enjoy the Door Darshan. RATING 3.5/5

SHIMLA MIRCHI @NetflixSA #Movie #Comedy #ShimlaMirchi

Hi Friends,

Shimla Mirchi is a situational romantic comedy and a light-hearted movie that you can enjoy with your family. Shimla Mirchi stars Hema Malani as Rukmani, Rakul Preet Singh as Naina, Rukmani's daughter, Kanwaljit Singh as Tilak, Naina's father, and Rajkummar Rao as Avinash. The movie also stars Shakti Kapoor, Kiran Juneja, Kamlesh Gill, and Dharmendra in a special appearance along with Ramesh Sippy. The movie is written, produced, and directed by Ramesh Sippy himself and was distributed by Viacom18 Motion Pictures. The movie was released in theatres on 3 January 2020 and was soon available on Netflix's online platform and app.
#TheLifesWayReviews - SHIMLA MIRCHI @NetflixSA #Movie #Comedy #ShimlaMirchi
The movie is really great to watch once during these lockdown times as it brings light-hearted comedy and the acting of Hema Malini needs no introduction. It's really a pleasure to see her live on screen in this movie and Rajkummar Rao has acted just like he does in every movie - perfect to the character. Rakul looks beautiful and her screen presence brings a lot of cuteness and charm on the big screen. The songs are okay but not worthy of remembering and the music is composed by Meet Bros Anjjan. You should definitely watch the movie this weekend on Netflix's digital platform. The story is not so different as it shows the love story of a boy fallen in love with a girl and works as a waiter at her restaurant despite being fully educated and a third angle is introduced when the mother thinks that the boy loves her but the situation is used just like it used to be in Priyadarshan movies but overall you won't waste your 2 hours watching this fun ride in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India. RATING 2.5/5

SHOOTER Season 2 @NetflixSA #TVSeries #Action #Shooter

Hi Friends,

Shooter Season 2 focussed on a little bit of International action where the so-called Solotov which was mentioned a little in Season 1 becomes the number 1 enemy in Season 2 as he tries to take on all the squad from unit 8113 as they go to Germany to receive some medal for a marine where they get attacked.

In the second season also, there are double-crossings again and again and the actions also switch to Germany, Mexico, and the USA. Solotov is played by Josh Stewart showcased as Chechen sniper who fought with Russia during the Chechen war and is being taken under their control by Atlas. He has played his character perfectly great and looks like a real assassin.

Shooter Season 2 only has 8 episodes of 45 minutes each which were first broadcasted on the USA network from July 18 to Sep 5th, 2017 and now are available for bing watch on Netflix digital platform and app. I binge-watched all the episodes from Season 1 to Season 3 on Netflix. Season 2 is one of the most interesting as the enemy also is too strong and an equal Sniper and great in his talents too. He is shown too good that he befriends Swagger's wife Julie and is invited to the Church festival of their kid Mary.
#TheLifesWayReviews - SHOOTER Season 2 @NetflixSA #TVSeries #Action #Shooter
Most of the characters are the same as Bob Lee Swagger is played by Ryan Phillippe, Julie played by Shantel VanSanten and daughter Mary played by Lexy Kolker. Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Nadine Memphis and Omar Epps as Isaac Johnson continue to play their characters well enough. Jaina Lee Ortiz plays Angela Tio who is currently serving as a Marine and is a great addition to the star cast. Patrick Sabongui as Yusuf Ali also one of the Marines and goes till Mexico with Bob Lee before being killed by Solotov. Todd Lowe as Colin Dobbs also plays one of the marines with Swagger and helps him identify the shooters location in Germany and also his neighbor in Texas. Jerry Ferrara as Kirk Zehnder who identifies the Atlas conspiracy and goes underground after faking his own death.

The story revolves around the assignment in Afghanistan when the unit 8113 was together and they come across opium which actually belongs to the CIA agent Meachum and the wife of the drug dealer are taken into custody by the marines. Solotov comes as a UN Doctor to take the wife away and kills her during an attack on the convoy. But as Donny interprets that it is his doing they take away the badge of Solotov and keep it at the base whereas all the others in the unit saw the face of the agent. This led to Solotov killing them one by one as Atlas raises a question on his performance to be assigned more tasks as it could be backtracked to them.

Overall, the Season 2 is in continuation of the story and you will enjoy watching some of the action in Afghanistan in the flashback and also in some of the new countries introduced in this season.  Bob Lee Swagger continues to do what he does best - HUNT. RATING 3.5/5

JAI MUMMY DI @NetflixSA #Movie #Comedy #JaiMummyDi

Hi Friends,

Jai Mummy Di is a romantic comedy movie which got released in Indian Theatres on 17th January 2020 and I watched the same on Netflix some days ago. The movie stars Sunny Singh as Puneet Khanna and Sonnalli Seygall as Saanjh Bhalla in the lead roles whereas their moms are being played by Supriya Pathak as Laali Khanna and Poonam Dhillon as Pinky Bhalla. The movie is directed by Navjot Gulati and is produced by T-Series and Luv Films whereas it's distributed by YRF - Yash raj films.

The movie doesn't offer anything new and most of the characters are left hanging without any roles to play other than the moms and the main lead characters. The movie doesn't offer anything which you have not seen in any of these kinds of movies where the kids fall in love with each other whereas the parents are enemies and in this movie the mothers of the lead pair are in the fight with each other. The only thing new is the double meaning and adult jokes installed in this version of the movie.
#TheLifesWayReviews - JAI MUMMY DI @NetflixSA #Movie #Comedy #JaiMummyDi
Sunny Singh looks smarter than the lead heroine Sonnalli and acted well. Vineet plays the younger brother of Puneet and is played by Veer Rajwant Singh and the scenes between them are superb. The fathers in the movie didn't have much to do and their roles are not defined at all, they are played by Rajendra Sethi and Danish Hussain. The moms are the main strength of this movie who have played their roles great. The movie is only due to their acting performances and expressions. Supriya Pathak has played her role in TV serial - Khichdi so well that the image is so difficult to take it out in any other setup.

The movie has tried to cash in on the Pyaar Ka Punchnama series and other movies from Luv Films as all their stars show cameo appearances in this movie too. Alok Nath also plays an important character Sanju Luthra after whom the mothers fight over during their college time and then played by Varun Sharma (Fukrey fame).

The songs are okay and some of them you will like too especially Dariyaganj sung by Arijit Singh and Lamborghini by Neha Kakkar and Jassi Gill. Overall the movie doesn't offer in its 103 minutes of your time. You can watch it one time on Netflix online platform and forget about the same if you like any of the film stars those act in this film or if you belong to Ghaziabad or Delhi NCR as you will see some of the locations you will identify with. RATING 1.5/5

SHOOTER Season 1 @NetflixSA #TVSeries #Action #Thriller

Hi Friends,

I watched the Shooter Season 1 on Netflix after I watched the movie on the same name some years back starring Mark Wahlberg based on the novel Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter.

I totally loved the fast-paced action thriller Season 1 which keeps on the edge but as it comes towards the last few episodes of Season 1, there is a lot of double crossings, triple crossings and multiple crossings between the same people where everyone is using everyone and not killing anyone whereas as a viewer you know that they have to kill them eventually. I think the first season could easily be reduced by 2 episodes to keep it to 8 episodes rather than 10 episodes of 45 minutes each on the average.

Shooter features the story of a Marine Sniper Bob Lee Swagger played by Ryan Phillippe who has retired and now lives with his wife Julie played by Shantel VanSanten and daughter Mary played by Lexy Kolker.
#TheLifesWayReviews - SHOOTER Season 1 @NetflixSA #WebSeries #Action #Thriller
Shooter Season 1 focuses on Bob Lee getting trapped into the assassination attempt of the American President and killing of another Top official from another country. Now the group behind the same never thought that Bob Lee will survive and they thought they will be able to take him out but somehow he survives and the struggle starts. Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Nadine Memphis is an FBI officer who catches Bob Lee and Omar Epps as Isaac Johnson who earlier used to be the Commanding Officer of Swagger and who brought Bob Lee back from retirement to save the country and put him in this position.

How Bob Lee Swagger survives the jail and comes out of the same along with finding the clues behind the whole planning and execution? and how the group behind the assassination starts feeling the heat once Swagger is on the run and how he gets support from Nadine is the whole storyline behind the 10 episodes in the first season of 45 minutes each. As this is a fast-paced story, new characters are regularly introduced and then taken out from time to time. Swagger is shown to be a great sniper and the story goes into flashbacks too where his life along with Donny Fenn, a spotter played by Rob Brown is showcased in various missions leading to Donny's death.

Overall, Shooter Season 1 will really keep you on the edge of the seat and you can definitely binge-watch the series. The whole series has 3 Seasons and about 31 episodes in total and Season 1 has 10. I finished watching Season 1 on Thursday and Friday evening till it got finished. The season was first showcased from 15th November 2016 onwards on USA Network and now is available on Netflix. RATING 3/5

CHOKED Paisa Bolta Hai @NetflixSA #Movie #Drama #Choked

Hi Friends,

Chocked - Paisa Bolta Hai is the latest Hindi movie to be launched on Netflix Platform based on the Demonetization in a drama format set in Mumbai and is directed and produced by Anurag Kashyap. The story is written by Nihit Bhave and music is composed by Karsh Kale. The lead actors are Saiyami Kher and Roshan Matthew along with Netflix's favorite artist whom you will remember from Sacred Games Season 1 and 2 like Amruta Subhash and Rajshri Deshpande.

The movie is set in a building where a couple lives on the third floor along with various other neighbors and the various relationship equations have been played out. There is a marriage happening in one of the neighbor's houses and amidst all that demonetization is introduced. Saiyami plays Sarita who works at a bank as a cashier and a singer from the reality show who got chocked while performing in the finals which led to her eliminations and that shock is still getting her chocked from time to time by the name of singing. I could not even recognize her in this unglamorous role as a mother and married woman. She has really played her role perfectly well.

Roshan plays Sushant husband of Sarita who used to play guitar in the reality show and thereafter is doing much unsuccessful business to help the financial conditions of the family creating friction between him and his wife while their son becomes a judge. He is in business with Dinesh who also lives on the same building and they continuously fight over several matters related to money and clients. Really loved Roshan in his role.
#TheLifesWayReviews - CHOKED Paisa Bolta Hai @NetflixSA #Movie #Drama #Choked
Amruta plays Sharvari Tai, a single parent whose daughter is getting married and Sushant is helping her with many of the tasks and activities of the marriage. Tai's role is of a neighbor who also helps and gives an ear to Sarita and demands helps after the demonetization to getting her old currency replaced at all costs. Amruta plays her role amazingly great and she is one force to reckon with in this web series industry in the coming future. Rajshri comes on the screen for not more than 5 minutes in the whole storyline in the background with part of the ensemble.

Due to some leakage problems of the sink, the plumber does a make-shift kind of arrangement and the currency notes stored in the pipelines by the PA to the MLA in the top floor flat come to Sarita's flat kitchen sink pipes causing chocking of the water. Her happiness knows no bounds and sooner she gets more than enough which she keeps hiding from her husband. Soon it is revealed that Dinesh is also getting those notes as he returns the money owned to Sushant whereas Sarita pays Reddy the money owned by Sushant.

It's a situational drama based around where the bankers are not clear, people are not clear, and money makers in between are trying to hack the system by setting up connections with bank managers and politicians. There is small suspense at the end of the drama which I don't want to reveal and you shall watch it to enjoy the same. It goes after an adage in Hindi, Hamam mein sab nange hai! It's a 114 minutes long movie based on the after-effects of demonetization released on 5th June 2020 on Netflix and reminded me of Ek Chalis ki Last Local movie starring Abhay Deol and Neha Dhupia. RATING 2.5/5

CONSPIRACIES @NetflixSA #Drama #TrueEvents #Documentary

Hi Friends,

We always have some of the other questions which raise some kind of doubts in our mind. Earlier when there was no Wikipedia or the internet, people used to read about the same in the library in some of the printed books or old newspapers. They will dig deep into all the news articles, encyclopedias, and specific books written on the topics of conspiracies. We are always intrigued by the unsolved mysteries in our lives and our brains are automatically attached to solving those on our own.

Netflix series on Conspiracies showcased 12 episodes 42-44 minutes long on various mysteries that still are open for discussions where people have all kinds of opinions. The List of those episodes are underneath -

  1. Nazis - Has Hitler actually killed himself or it was staged and he escaped?
  2. The Royal Family - Mysteries related to the Royal families and their affairs?
  3. The Cold War - How did it all started and who was behind this?
  4. Disappearances - Looking at some of the famous deaths and disappearances
  5. The Hollywood Files - Various mysteries related to the film industry
  6. Aliens - People claiming to have encountered some kind of mysterious life from other planets
  7. Assassinations - Mysteries surrounding the deaths of JFK, Pope John Paul 1 and others
  8. Murder at the Vatican - Roman Catholic church and the mysteries related to the establishment
  9. Faking the Moon landings - Whether the moon landings were just staged to beat Russia space program?
  10. Pearl Harbour Coverup - Did it actually happened or could have been saved because they got information beforehand?
  11. Drugs, Pop, Punk and Death - Various music artists like Jim Morrison, Rolling Stones and mysteries related to them
  12. The Lockerbie Plot - The mysteries related to 9/11, Pan Am Flight 103 and many others
#TheLifesWayReviews - CONSPIRACIES @NetflixSA #Drama #TrueEvents #Documentary
Each episode covers some of the questions you might have and they will give you both sides of the arguments and keep the discussion open for your brain to further delve into those topics. The series is from 2015 and I watched the same last year but somehow kept thinking should I reveal the plot or what shall I say about all these things. But this is one of the topics that will have different impacts on every brain as someone might have more interest and well-read on certain topics and for the other, it will be the first time. It does open your mind to don't take anything whats showcased to you without any further investigations. Always check and challenge all that's taught to us by our schools and colleges. It's always great to research and digs deep into the topics you find interesting. We now have unlimited resources at hand which can help us in the same venture like the internet and Wikipedia and other sources which can really give us some perspective.

Do check out these amazing 12 episodes and learn a lot about history and how people, countries and governments used it to their advantages? Mark Bazeley is the narrator behind all these documentaries. RATING 3/5

SPACE FORCE @NetflixSA #WebSeries #Comedy #Drama

Hi Friends,

Space Force is an American Comedy-drama on Netflix which is currently running and worth every second of your time. This web series was launched on Netflix on 29th May 2020 and is created by Greg Daniels and Steve Carell who plays the lead role as General Mark Naird who is tasked to start the United States Space Force and put the boots on the moon by 2024 by the POTUS. Lisa Kudrow plays Maggie Naird, wife of General Naird and Diana Silvers plays Erin Naird, daughter of General Naird. John Malkovich plays Dr. Adrian Mallory who is Chief Scientist at Space Force. The show is a comedy-drama that plays the fight between the various departments within the US agencies and the fight between the force and the brains. There is always a fight between the might of the brain vs might of the ammunitions. Jimmy O. Yang plays Dr. Chan Kaifang and Tawny Newsome as Captain Angela Ali.

Space Force Season 1 consists of 10 episodes which run for around 35 minutes per episode. The comic timing of Steve Carell needs no introduction and the cast contains many people represented from all over the world. There is an episode where they mention India and Prime Minister Modi that's because of the fact that India is growing to be a superpower and Netflix can't win if it is not able to harness into the Indian Markets of video on demand. The season is launched around the same time SpaceX and NASA are working on the commercial launch of the #LaunchAmerica program to reach International Space Station and it definitely brings the interest of people around the world into a series which is kind of science fiction along with setting the boots on the moon.
#TheLifesWayReviews - SPACE FORCE @NetflixSA #WebSeries #Comedy #Drama
General Naird not only needs to take care of the growing demands faced by various agencies and POTUS but also within his family he needs to take care of. He also needs to fight against the minds and risk-taking abilities of scientists which he thinks are very less as compared to the people in the forces. His way of looking at things is totally different from his team of scientists and sometimes he learns from them and sometimes they learn from him. This web series showcases just the tension between various relationships General Naird has with his various resources at the base camp while he discovers himself too.

The Space Force despite the huge star cast is not binge-worthy as it goes very slow and events are situational and the General then finds his way through the same on a day to day basis at the workplace and in his own family life. It's the story of survival as the Space Force and taking the people on the moon with various variables entering the situations on a day to day basis. The Chinese space program is what Space Force is competing against and it's the same kind of humor American TV series, and movies focussed on Vietnam or Russia or Hitler earlier from Rambo to many other movies by just including new types of social media channels into the equation especially twitter. Overall, if you like to watch workplace tensions in a comedy series based on the mission to the moon without any kind of logic then do watch the same and you won't regret it because Season 2 will also come as they end the Season 1 on suspense and much more to look forward to. RATING - 3/5
