JAI MUMMY DI @NetflixSA #Movie #Comedy #JaiMummyDi

Hi Friends, 

Jai Mummy Di is a romantic comedy movie which got released in Indian Theatres on 17th January 2020 and I watched the same on Netflix some days ago. The movie stars Sunny Singh as Puneet Khanna and Sonnalli Seygall as Saanjh Bhalla in the lead roles whereas their moms are being played by Supriya Pathak as Laali Khanna and Poonam Dhillon as Pinky Bhalla. The movie is directed by Navjot Gulati and is produced by T-Series and Luv Films whereas it's distributed by YRF - Yash raj films. 

The movie doesn't offer anything new and most of the characters are left hanging without any roles to play other than the moms and the main lead characters. The movie doesn't offer anything which you have not seen in any of these kinds of movies where the kids fall in love with each other whereas the parents are enemies and in this movie the mothers of the lead pair are in the fight with each other. The only thing new is the double meaning and adult jokes installed in this version of the movie. 

Sunny Singh looks smarter than the lead heroine Sonnalli and acted well. Vineet plays the younger brother of Puneet and is played by Veer Rajwant Singh and the scenes between them are superb. The fathers in the movie didn't have much to do and their roles are not defined at all, they are played by Rajendra Sethi and Danish Hussain. The moms are the main strength of this movie who have played their roles great. The movie is only due to their acting performances and expressions. Supriya Pathak has played her role in TV serial - Khichdi so well that the image is so difficult to take it out in any other setup. 

The movie has tried to cash in on the Pyaar Ka Punchnama series and other movies from Luv Films as all their stars show cameo appearances in this movie too. Alok Nath also plays an important character Sanju Luthra after whom the mothers fight over during their college time and then played by Varun Sharma (Fukrey fame). 

The songs are okay and some of them you will like too especially Dariyaganj sung by Arijit Singh and Lamborghini by Neha Kakkar and Jassi Gill. Overall the movie doesn't offer in its 103 minutes of your time. You can watch it one time on Netflix online platform and forget about the same if you like any of the film stars those act in this film or if you belong to Ghaziabad or Delhi NCR as you will see some of the locations you will identify with. RATING 1.5/5

SPACE FORCE @NetflixSA #WebSeries #Comedy #Drama

Hi Friends, 

Space Force is an American Comedy-drama on Netflix which is currently running and worth every second of your time. This web series was launched on Netflix on 29th May 2020 and is created by Greg Daniels and Steve Carell who plays the lead role as General Mark Naird who is tasked to start the United States Space Force and put the boots on the moon by 2024 by the POTUS. Lisa Kudrow plays Maggie Naird, wife of General Naird and Diana Silvers plays Erin Naird, daughter of General Naird. John Malkovich plays Dr. Adrian Mallory who is Chief Scientist at Space Force. The show is a comedy-drama that plays the fight between the various departments within the US agencies and the fight between the force and the brains. There is always a fight between the might of the brain vs might of the ammunitions. Jimmy O. Yang plays Dr. Chan Kaifang and Tawny Newsome as Captain Angela Ali.

Space Force Season 1 consists of 10 episodes which run for around 35 minutes per episode. The comic timing of Steve Carell needs no introduction and the cast contains many people represented from all over the world. There is an episode where they mention India and Prime Minister Modi that's because of the fact that India is growing to be a superpower and Netflix can't win if it is not able to harness into the Indian Markets of video on demand. The season is launched around the same time SpaceX and NASA are working on the commercial launch of the #LaunchAmerica program to reach International Space Station and it definitely brings the interest of people around the world into a series which is kind of science fiction along with setting the boots on the moon.

General Naird not only needs to take care of the growing demands faced by various agencies and POTUS but also within his family he needs to take care of. He also needs to fight against the minds and risk-taking abilities of scientists which he thinks are very less as compared to the people in the forces. His way of looking at things is totally different from his team of scientists and sometimes he learns from them and sometimes they learn from him. This web series showcases just the tension between various relationships General Naird has with his various resources at the base camp while he discovers himself too.

The Space Force despite the huge star cast is not binge-worthy as it goes very slow and events are situational and the General then finds his way through the same on a day to day basis at the workplace and in his own family life. It's the story of survival as the Space Force and taking the people on the moon with various variables entering the situations on a day to day basis. The Chinese space program is what Space Force is competing against and it's the same kind of humor American TV series, and movies focussed on Vietnam or Russia or Hitler earlier from Rambo to many other movies by just including new types of social media channels into the equation especially twitter. Overall, if you like to watch workplace tensions in a comedy series based on the mission to the moon without any kind of logic then do watch the same and you won't regret it because Season 2 will also come as they end the Season 1 on suspense and much more to look forward to. RATING - 3/5

JASON GOLIATH – #MANSTRUATION: Surviving a Wife ONE-MAN SHOW

I have been to many shows but never I have been to a show that changed my life for the good. The show as not only comical but also with learning that will take you places in your relationships. I really loved the show and you shall not miss it whenever it opens next in case you missed it in the city of Johannesburg. Jason is at the top of his game and the way he takes you through his married life and learnings is awesome and will leave you in laughter to the core. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and fell in love with the same immediately. Go Watch It if you get chance in your life!

Hi Guys,

It was the first time that I saw a Yellow carpet and felt so happy to see the same. People know about my obsession with Yellow as I drive a Yellow Fiat 500, have a Yellow Tomato watch and many other things.

To me yellow represents sunshine and brings in a hope to stay the best no matter what happens in your life. The event was VIP encounter at Protea Hotel - Fire and Ice! in Melrose Arch for the new bottle launch of Savanna Premium Cider. The carpet brought us closer to the stand where the cold crisp Cider was served by these lovely ladies in yellow clothes. With the stage as clouds, it clearly looks like Sun shining brightly on the other sides of the podium.

This is the first look at the new enhanced bottle and it's packaging as a whole. The design change has taken place after many years as they say.

The desserts and food was amazing and I really dug into Sushi option as I wanted to go vegetarian way.

It was time to showcase the latest advertisement which will be launched to public soon but we got to see it on the first day other than senior officials.

The stage was set for #JoziComedy to start as Mpho Popps was the MC for the evening which started at around 830pm. The auditorium at the hotel was fully booked and no chairs was empty to be occupied.

Soon the stage was cleared for Vittorio Leonardi who started the night on the right note. The audience was going mad with craziness and laughter can be listened even outside the hall. 

There were many acts which kept on adding fun to the whole event as a whole with artists like Kagiso Lediga, Trevor Gumbi, Mojak Lehoko, Karou Charou being at their best. 

The event ended at around 12 in the night and as we were making our way out, I got the best present as a blogger from the brand. It was a brand new Beats by Dre Solo HD headphones along with bottles of Savanna, I was so elated as I got to laugh for the whole evening and at the end my heart was filled with the soulful music that beats headphones will produce in the days to come. All the photographs are taken using the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 phablet smartphone.

Movie Review - Walking on Sunshine (2014)

Walking on Sunshine (2014) is a romantic musical drama movie featuring the greatest hit songs of the 80's and is directed by Max Giwa & Dania Pasquini.

Walking on Sunshine (2014) is the story of two sisters as they fall in love with the same guy and all the emotional drama that comes with the same. The story has nothing new to offer but the intermingling of songs in this drama is nice. The chosen songs are really feet tapping and will make you want to sing along. If you love musicals then this movie will really make you happy. 

Annabel Scholey and Hannah Arterton plays the role of the sisters who falls in love with Giulio Berruti. Annabel Scholey has really acted very well in this movie and she looked beautiful. I really liked her as she is main character of this movie all along. The shooting locations of Italy are very great and makes you go for a holiday asap. 

Supporting casts includes Leona Lewis, Katy Brand, Greg Wise and Danny Kirrane. The movie has famous songs like "Holiday" by Madonna, "How will I know" by Whitney Houston, "Faith" by George Michael, "If I could turn time back" by Cher and "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News amongst various popular tracks from the decade of 80's.  

Do check out this movie if you like musicals. I am not a big fan of them but for once in a while you tend to enjoy them. Movie is releasing in Ster Kinekor on 12th Dec 2014. Book your tickets now. More info on twitter and facebook.

Movie Review - Instructions Not Included (2014)

Hi Guys, 

Some movies brings tears to your eyes and makes you think about your loved ones. They makes you grateful that you still have them in your life and then you cherish your moments of togetherness. This is one of those movies and I don't remember any other movie in recent past that have brought tears in my eyes since Life is Beautiful & Schindler's List. No instructions included (2014) is a journey of a person from being a carefree Casanova to taking full responsibility as a dad. The life gave him no choice as he falls into it, the movie shows the journey he travels through being a single dad.

Instructions Not Included (2014) is a Mexican Comedy Drama movie acted and directed by Eugenio Derbez. He has acted very well as a learning father to a child girl played by Loreto Peralta. She is the soul of the movie. How their lives got intertwined and how they learn from each other makes the context of this movie. The movie has a mystery attached to it which is revealed only in the last scene of the movie. 

This movie is definitely worth a watch whenever it's coming on TV or this can be easily added in your personal DVD collection. I really loved watching the movie and felt that you should always be happy and build on your personal relationships all the time. Not only good relationships keeps you stress free but also makes you enjoy your life and gives a purpose to your whole existence.

Movie Review - Magic in the Moonlight (2014)

Hi Guys,

Magic in the Moonlight (2014) is a Woody Allen's romantic comedy movie set in 1920s in France. The movie stars Colin Firth, Emma Stone, Eileen Arkins, Marcia Gay Harden, Hamish Linklater, Simon McBurney and Jacki Weaver. 

The movie location is awesomely good and cinematography is great. Emma Stone looked beautiful in 1920s clothing and so did Colin Firth. The movie shows some of the great views of French Riviera. He keeps on speaking in this movie and largely this movie is based on conversations between him and other characters. The humor is in the dialogues as well as the expressions of the actors. This is something that will evolve with you as you are left astonished to what is happening on the screen between the main characters. 

Magic in the Moonlight is a very nice romantic lighthearted movie which you won't want to miss at all in theaters. Colin Firth character is a magician in the movie and comes to help one rich family uncover clairvoyant and mystic Emma Stone as she tries to dupe them with her mother on the request of a family member who is against Emma's character falling in love with his brother.

In the process of finding the truth, a lot of funny and romantic moments got created between the lead actors. This is a movie which will keep you involved in the story and conversations. The story has an added mystery to the whole setup which is revealed in the end. Overall it's a must watch with your loved and dear ones. Go for it!

My mom read the news of some celebrity getting a parole from Jail, and commented to me that, “People are getting leaves from Jail also, which corporate big company are you working for that you don’t get even one”?

The repercussions of the same are when the kids wear them next season with some alteration, there is a significant color difference and what happens after that is told in one of the new comedy series.

Checkout this third full-fledged 22 min episode by a corporate guy from Ghaziabad and life there. He continues to explore what happens in our Corporate HR programs for employee’s motivation and wellbeing. He has also given insights into the day to day life of unmarried girls in corporate world. This is one of the best episodes of the show and I can bet that you will have stomach aches after watching this one due to laughter.

After watching these three web episodes from the show, I felt so happy and full of enthusiasm to work for the whole week. For the current season of episodes, I will have to wait for Monday and Thursday nights and so will you…

The best thing about the Rising Stars of Comedy is that there will always be new talent coming up which will really make this more interesting week after week. I wish by the end of next year, I will also have some courage to take a two minute slot and entertain the crowd. Till that time, I just need to take a back seat and laugh, laugh and just laugh.

Movie Review - Sex Tape (2014)

Sex Tape (2014) is a situational Hollywood comedy movie starring Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz.

Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) are a married couple still very much in love, but ten years and two kids have cooled the passion. To get it back, they decide- why not?- to make a video of themselves trying out every position in THE JOY OF SEX in one marathon three-hour session. It seems like a great idea, until they discover that their most private video has gone public. In a panic, they begin a wild night of adventure- tracking down leads, roping in friends, duping Annie's boss-all to reclaim their video, their reputation, their sanity, and most importantly, their marriage.

The movie is a one night journey as they try to find out their missing Sex Tape from all of their iPADs. Technology makes life easier but if you don't know how to use it to your benefit, it can also ruin your life. The movie has some great comedy scenes and really brings the magic of Hangover movie series fresh in your mind. It's definitely a watch for a fun filled sat afternoon in the theaters.

These days a lot of movies does include social media /technology as their movie context which really makes younger people who uses them really glued to the movie. We have seen the same in "Chef" with Twitter and this one with iPad sync and wipe options. Apple products has been an integral part of our lives and how they change the life of these people is the context of the movie.

I really liked the lead pair as they bring the fun, laughter and a night of events in this new movie - Sex Tape.

Movie Review - Haute Cuisine (French)

Hi Guys,

Haute Cuisine is a French movie and showcases the indomitable will power of a lady chef in the kitchen world of President's house and how she handles the whole situation.

The world is not always supporting to your needs but then it's the adversity that makes you or breaks you. How you respond to these adversities only tests your character and faith you have on yourself.

The movie is a comedy drama but the only problem is that I had to read through the English subtitles because French language is black and white to me. The movie is really entertaining and for no second you feel dragged or editing of the movie is awesome. There has been a mystery attached to the whole movie and is only solved in the end so it keeps you glued to your seat.

I really loved the acting of leading lady, Catherine Frot along with many others esp Arthur Dupont. The cinematography has been awesome with a lot of delicacies macro shots along with the landscape of the Antarctica. It did really made me hungry and immediately after the movie, I went straight to the restaurant.
