Stationery Review 111: Deli Delight 0.5mm Gel Pens (G118) - ZAR 6

Hi Friends,

I bought these Deli Delight 0.5mm Gel Pens in different colours to get various ink colours in Red, Blue, Dark blue, Light Blue, Brown, Pink, Orange, Yellow, and Purple. There must also be Green and black colours, which I didn't see or missed buying from the shelves. These pens are only priced at ZAR 6 each and if you buy 10 of the same colour the price charged will be ZAR 4 each. The same is available from Mellow, F09, F block, China Mall, Amalgam, Johannesburg 2092.

Stationery Review 111: Deli Delight 0.5mm Gel Pens (G118) - ZAR 6

These pens I gave these to my daughter for her arts and crafts and so far for a year or so she has not complained and neither she has finished them. I see them in her wooden pen stand. On my recent trip to the Mellows store, I saw a new version of these kinds of pens in a single pack of 10 different colours. I didn't buy them as I thought I wouldn't have time to review them as I have so many items pending making videos.

Stationery Review 110: Deli Fountain Pen (S681) in EF Nib - ZAR 32

Hi Guys,

This pen is nice in the metallic body design and comes with a converter built in. The suction of the converter is not that strong but the nib is really extra fine. I said in the video it to be similar to Fine in Lamy nibs but it is really between EF and F of Lamy nibs. You can really write in small font with this fountain pen.

Stationery Review 110: Deli Fountain Pen (S681) in EF Nib - ZAR 32

This Deli Fountain Pen is available in 3 body colours Silver, Black and Rose gold. This is a great writing instrument from Deli with proper ink flow. Paired with Diamine Ancient Copper I have filled this pen with during my trials of the same. I bought these for only ZAR 32 (around USD 2) each from Mellow Stationery Shop in F09, F block, China Mall Amalgam Road, Johannesburg.

Stationery Review 109: Deli Students Fountain Pen Set (S691) EF Nib - ZAR 30

Hi Guys,

Mellows has opened their second shop in F block - F09 that masters stationery items and has a wide variety of wonderful and unique products not seen anywhere else in the China mall. Definitely worth a visit and I bought these Fountain pens set with cartridges in black colour built into the package for only ZAR 30 which is around USD 1.5.

Stationery Review 109: Deli Students Fountain Pen Set (S691) EF Nib - ZAR 30

This fountain pen writes really well and gives a unique fun perspective to your whole stationery collection as well. Recently I bought another version of these pens that I am soon going to shoot the video and share on my YouTube channel.

Stationery Review 41: Snowhite FP-5018 Fountain Pens (Fine Nib)

Hi Guys,

Snowhite is a manufacturer of many writing instruments. I am in love with their fountain pens. This Snowhite FP-5018 comes in multiple colours and I have got 2 of them here in this video. The price is around USD 2 on Ali Express and I am not so sure if you can find them in Johannesburg China Mall. I have not found them as yet in Johannesburg. I got them from the Stationery Expo that happened in May 2023. This is really cheap compared to the other fountain pens from other manufacturers. This came with a cartridge which you can buy separately as well as refill it using a syringe and ink bottle.

I really found them to be worthy for students and someone who is starting with fountain pens. I really love them. Thanks, Aashish

Stationery Review 40: Snowhite FP-5019 (F) and FP-5020 (EF) Fountain Pens

Hi Guys,

Snowhite is a manufacturer of many writing instruments. I am in love with their fountain pens. Snowhite FP-5019 and FP-5020 I have here in this video come with a unique section in slotted rubber grip that makes it easy for anyone to hold the pen easily, especially first-timers.

This came with a big capacity cartridge which you can buy separately as well as refill using a syringe and ink bottle once the initial tank of ink finishes.

Stationery Review 17: Parker Quink Blue Fountain Pen Ink (57ml) for ZAR 50

Hi Guys,

Parker Pens have been my favourite since time immemorial and I still remember that I won one Parket Beta in my favourite Yellow Colour from a contest in Saket, New Delhi from NIIT. That was a ball pen and it really glued me to the Parker quality. Thereafter I bought many Parker Rollerball pens and also some fountain pens. Overall, I had 3 Parker Vector Fountain Pens in three body colours that I really loved. They all had ink converters inside of them and also I got some ink cartridges as well.

As I was randomly visiting the CNA store in Sandton City, which is now closed as well permanently, I found this Parker ink going for sale from its market price of ZAR 150 to ZAR 50 at a 67% discount. I immediately thought of buying the same. Once the ink entered my home, it took me around 4 years to finish the 57ml Blue Ink bottle. The next one I bought I got for ZAR 75 at a 50% discount again.

Till that time I only had some fountain pens and not like today when I have a lot in my collection, so I can say this ink brought a lot of pens into my life and took away a lot of my hard-earned money. Coming back to the colour of the ink, Parker Quink Blue is a different kind of blue, it's dark and has a little bit of red sheen. It's not a brilliant blue or sky blue kind of colour but much darker than that. It doesn't match with any of the other blue inks I have in my arsenal. It's a totally unique ink that can get you started in the fountain pen world. I have filled so many pages of journalling with this ink. I feel like it's a mixture of grey ink mixed with blue colour as it's not darker on the paper. Overall, this is the biggest amount of ink I have used as an adult so I will definitely love my first love but you can decide on your first ink with your first fountain pen for sure.

I have not tested the Parker Quink Ink in Black Colour as yet because they never go on sale, I don't know why and I am sure not I am not going to buy it as well as I have Noodler's Black Bulletproof ink as well along with Camlin Syah Black, Montblanc Mystery Black and Lamy T52 Black ink bottle.
Stationery Review 17: Parker Quink Blue Fountain Pen Ink (57ml) for ZAR 50
Thanks to CNA Africa Sandton City Store for the annual sale, I got this ink for only ZAR 50 for a 57ml bottle. I will also finish the first bottle of fountain pen ink used or consumed to write using the Parker Fountain Pens. Thanks and enjoy the video.

Stationery Review 9: Karkos Bordeaux Fountain Pen Ink (USD 1.97) 30ml Bottle

Hi Friends,

After my first order with the Ali Express App, I was glued to the platform mainly because of the two games that give you gold coins that you can pay for your products with. I found some of the fountain pen inks that I wanted to try. Whatever Inks I was getting here in South Africa were very expensive and I thought of not investing that much amount of money into the same.

I bought this Karkos Bordeaux Fountain Pen Ink in a 30ml bottle for USD 1.97 (ZAR 38) each.  Express Pencils Store is available on the Ali Express App from where I ordered this ink. Check it out and if you like it, you can also order it.

Also, the South African Post Office charged me only ZAR 36 to release the packet so based on the items inside the package that got equally distributed to all the 6 ink bottles and 1 glass pen. The overall cost of the ink then came to ZAR 45 approximately based on the exchange rate for a 30ml ink bottle.
Stationery Review 9: Karkos Bordeaux Fountain Pen Ink (USD 1.97) 30ml Bottle
The ink comes in a plastic bottle with a simple sticker saying the name of the ink. The opening of the bottle is protected by a plastic seal that can be taken in and out to not spill during transport etc. The plastic quality of the bottle is fine. The cap is in the same colour as the ink but it doesn't truly match the same. It takes a little while to take the plastic seal out but on its way from China to South Africa, it's kept in a ziplock bag and there was not even a single drop of ink spill. All the inks came fine and perfect.

This is one of the most loved inks from my perspective. It really shines on the paper not in terms of sheen or shimmer but in terms of the beauty it brings to the blank paper. The place where the ink is wetter, I really love those words. This ink is water-based so it's really wet. The ink looks like writing with the red wine. Even the name Bordeaux represents the world capital of wine in France. If you only want to buy one ink from Karkos then this should be the ink you should look for.

Currently, the situation of SAPS (South Africa Post Office) is not good and the Benmore Post Office has closed so I am not sure if I can order more stuff from the Ali Express app or not. But maybe I will try to once I finish some of the inks and I get good views on my video then I can order more inks from Ali Express to test and review with all of you.

My Road to 42 Years of Shree Hanuman Chalisa!

Hi Friends,

I always had a dream to do Shree Hanuman Chalisa for every day I am here living on Planet Earth. I got his idea long back and even printed the Excel sheets which was going toll 2,500 count and this remained with me for the last 14-15 years or so. So during lockdown when everyone was preparing Banana Cake and Coffees etc. I was devoted to this exercise of completing the Hanuman Chalisa for the years that I have lived here.
My Road to 42 Years of Shree Hanuman Chalisa!
I did one jap of Hanuman Chalisa for every day I am alive and the target was to complete this exercise before my 42nd birthday on 22 July 2022. This exercise was taken up as a thank you to Lord Bajrang Bali Ji for always blessing me in my life.

My Road to 42 Years of Shree Hanuman Chalisa!
I really felt grateful to Almighty Lord that I could complete my pending task that I promised and now I have completed the same as well. The strength given to me and the time spent in the devotion is really supreme. I felt divinely connected in my soul and I have lived the principles but some of them are totally missing inside me so maybe in future I will get some of them too.
My Road to 42 Years of Shree Hanuman Chalisa!
I see that I have not captured the date for the previous counts of 18 Years as I didn't think that I would be writing this post. I also used to burn the pages so that they meet their makers once the page was full on the tracking diary from my friend and owner of Karnal Livestock Development Services (P) Ltd. in India. Our friendship also started when I gifted him a small purse version of Shree Hanuman Chalisa to tell him that he would soon come on the free seat and also join the Computer Engineering he wanted to do and that happened in less than a month or so after giving him the Chalisa. After that, he immediately invited me to his home and we became friends for life! Thanks to Lord Hanuman Ji! There are so many such stories that have happened in my life because of Lord Bajrang Bali ji where he was involved for sure. Will tell you the same as and when I could collect my thoughts around the same. Keep Praying! Keep Jap, Tap and Meditations going!

Aum Namah Shivay!

New Year Resolutions - Week 30 Achievements & Failures in 2023 #TheLifesWay

Hi Guys,

This time on my birthday I was really happy and this is the first time in many years I have felt like that. This may be due to the divine blessing from Lord Shiva. This week was more about entertainment and watching a lot of movies and web series. I also attended some of the launch events as well.

1. Entertainment - I started the week by watching the movie Oppenheimer which is okay in terms of its storyline but to show the guy has learned from the Hindu culture they should not do the scene of a sexual nature with the Bhagwad Gita as it's similar to showing a sex scene with Bible or other religious scripture in the hands of someone. I am sure if the same was done using the Quran or something of that sort the whole of Hollywood would have burnt in the fire. This scene has no impact and could have been showcased in another way as well. I am not sure why this picture is creating waves as this is just a biographical story of a man by the end of which you don't feel inspired at all.
New Year Resolutions - Week 30 Achievements & Failures in 2023 #TheLifesWay
I also watched the Secret Invasion Season 1 on the Disney+ Streaming platform before my annual membership was finished. It stars Samuel L. Jackson and Emilia Clarke and the story will continue in the next season of the same as well. I think there are a lot of spin-offs of all the characters one by one be it Marvel or DC Comics world after the huge releases of Avengers etc. I don't find them interesting enough as they are not full-feature films which you look forward to.
I also watched The Night Manager (Hindi) Episodes 5-7 without watching the first 4 episodes with my wife on Disney+ Hotstar as well. Because the Disney+ platform still doesn't have play speed control on their app it takes extra time and effort to watch the series at 1x speed. I can't waste my time as some series are shown so slowly to extend their episodes that it's always better to watch them at 1.5x speed.
I also watched Rocky aur Rani kii Prem Kahaani movie and really loved the movie directed by Karan Johar. Thankfully Karan didn't put her several agenda angles and lectures in this movie as he did in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Though he did some old bollywood songs this time he did extended sets and dance sequences to go with it rather than the antakshari kind of sequences in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. I totally loved the story though the Dharmendra love story was on the top. Definitely worth watching.
I also watched Satyaprem ki Katha movie which is a little serious with the message that a woman has to take a stand and then her family also needs to support her to at least get justice. One-time watch for sure. Then I went on to watch Kandahar movie which is totally action based starring Gerald Butler and Ali Fazal. You already know what kind of movies are these as they are oriented around a story of recuse or escape with all the action built around it.
I also wasted time on a movie named One Friday Night starring Raveena Tandon and Milind Soman. This is a total waste movie and you should not watch it at all. There are plenty of things you can do by saving your time rather than watching this one.
2. Launch Events - Samsung launched their new foldable Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 in their new avatars on 26 Jul 2023. I have been a fan of foldable from the start and for many years using Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 in my day-to-day life. I also used Galaxy Z Flip4 on my Mauritius trip and all the photographs and reels are using the same phone. Currently, I am also using Galaxy Z Flip5 as my daily device and the camera quality and big cover screen are really great. I can also watch YouTube on the cover screen as well now with the new Flip5. I also played a lot of games at Cracker Zac in The Zone Rosebank where the event was held. I also did the goodies review on my YouTube channel as well.

I also attended another event for Castrol New Can Design and 2 TikTok Influencers and this was the first event where there was Indian food for vegetarians. I really felt great to be attending the show and the goodies box I got from them now holds my fountain pens inks and other accessories.

Other than these two tasks I don't think I did anything else for the whole week. Yes being a salary day, it was good to get your one pay cheque for which you wait for the whole month. I have to break this cycle and with Lord Shiva's grace, I will be able to do so very soon. May Lord Shiva bless us all!

Aum Namah Shivay!

Till next time...Aashish
Thanks! Cheers!!!

New Year Resolutions - Week 29 Achievements & Failures in 2023 #TheLifesWay

Hi Guys,

It's my birthday week and I celebrated my 43rd birthday with some of the family and friends. I totally love cutting the cake and eating some great food outside and at home. I have always told that my life has always been the Life of Pi as I was born on 22-7 which is a Pi=3.14 and goes till infinite never fully divisible. This means that my life is full of struggles and I love challenges that are thrown at me and I will overcome them every time with my strong will and the blessings of Lord Shiva!
New Year Resolutions - Week 29 Achievements & Failures in 2023 #TheLifesWay
1. Entertainment - I started the week by completing the Kohrra web series on the Netflix streaming platform. It's a nice one-time watch and loved the acting of Barun Sobti and Suvinder Vicky. This web series is really an eye-opener in terms of various things I missed seeing when I used to live in Punjab, India.

I then watched The Trial: Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha Season 1 starring Kajol and Alyy Khan. This one is the Hindi version of The Good Wife. I have not watched the original so it was okay to watch the same but some of the things are just style though they try to show the courtroom drama but there are better series for the same. This one is fast-paced and things move very quickly without any context whatsoever and then there is a monologue from the main character in a single-liner. I didn't really like the series despite Kajol working in the same.
2. Thank You - I started from 5000 onwards to reach 8000 and again the counter got reset to zero. Then again I took it to 5000 but again it got reset. The third time it also went 5000 but got reset once again. So in total, I did around 13000 Thank You. This is one of the exercises I kept doing and going back to in my life.
3. YouTube - I reached 2222 subscribers on my 43rd birthday on 22nd July. I am really grateful to everyone for giving your precious time to watch my videos. Whatever small I am getting from your views is my only blessing in terms of income from running all these platforms. I completed 1 year of being monetized on YouTube as I got it last year on 12-Jul-22. I had a goal to achieve the payments of USD 100 by my birthday and I got it but it only gets paid next month.
4. Happy Birthday - I completed another year on Planet Earth and was very happy to complete 43 years and was really happy somehow. I have lived for the last 15706 days which is the number of days I have lived on this Earth. This is something I learned from the Momentum She Owns Her Success session where the Group CEO mentioned it. I am not so sure what will be the long-term impact of the same but let's try it out. My initial thought was that it was going to add stress thinking that I had not achieved anything in the long 16000 days of my living on planet earth.
5. Shopping - I bought some of the clothes on my birthday from my favourite brand Polo & Levis and introduced Pringle also into the arsenal of brands I have. There was a sale going on in Sandton City & Woodmeads and I made use of the same. Shopping is always fun as whenever you spend money on stuff you feel good. I also felt like broken dreams when I tried some of the fountain pens from MontBlanc and other brands like Pilot USA which cost more than ZAR 5000+. I felt really lightweight and cheap though the quality may be top-class but my itch to get one really dropped to zero towards buying them.
It's been a long long time I have taken to finish various videos and blog posts. Sometimes I don't get the strength to work the extra mile to finish these posts. Today I have found some so I will do whatever is possible. Do you also feel a loss of energy in your daily tasks sometimes? What do you do to overcome this feeling?

Aum Namah Shivay!

Till next time...Aashish
Thanks! Cheers!!!

10 French Phrases You Need To Know Before Jetting Off To The Rugby World Cup @AirFranceZA

Hi Guys,

As the anticipation for the Rugby World Cup reaches a fever pitch, it's not just the thundering tackles and spectacular tries that can leave you awestruck. Hosted in France, this global sporting extravaganza presents a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the country’s rich culture and language.

As many South Africans prepare to jet off to France to watch the Springboks defend their title, Air France shares a few important French phrases to perfect ahead of the Rugby World Cup.

1) Je voudrais du champagne, s'il vous plait – There's nothing quite like embarking on an international adventure and unwinding with a glass of bubbly up in the air. Given that France is the birthplace of champagne, Air France stands as the sole airline globally to offer champagne across all cabin classes. So, use this phrase to impress your flight attendant and enjoy some of the country’s best champagne while enjoying your direct flight to all of the rugby action.

2) Allez Bokke! – South Africans aren’t afraid to support their national teams loudly – and chanting this phrase with other supporters will certainly make everyone in the stadium know who you are backing this World Cup!

3) Où est le stade? – Translating to "Where is the stadium?", this question will be your guiding light on match days. Whether you're in Paris, Marseille, or any of the host cities, use this phrase to ensure you reach the heart of the action.

4) Une bière, s'il vous plait – After a riveting match, there's nothing like raising a toast to the victorious team or simply enjoying the lively atmosphere. "A beer, please" will help you secure your preferred beverage and immerse yourself in post-game celebrations.

5) Combien ça coûte? – This is a great phrase to keep at the back of your mind whenever you’re visiting France. Translating to "How much does it cost?" this phrase will be your go-to when purchasing souvenirs, jerseys, or that mouth-watering crepe you've been eyeing since you arrived.

6) J'adore le rugby! – France will be filled with rugby supporters from around the world. While supporters of many different teams will descend on the country and its host cities, the love of the game is what will unite fans visiting. Translating to "I love rugby!", this phrase will help express your passion for the sport to fellow fans and strike up conversations that transcend borders.

7) Parlez-vous anglais? – Another important phrase for any visit to France, "Do you speak English?" is helpful for those moments that get lost in translation. Asking this question in French shows respect for the local culture and language while indicating that the language barrier has proven to have become a little complicated.

8) C'est incroyable! – While watching the many matches lined up, incredible tries and awe-inspiring plays will be aplenty. This phrase translates to “It's incredible!” and helps you express your amazement with locals. Sport continuously proves that a shared appreciation for the game can bring together fans of all languages.

9) Quel est le prochain match? – The Rugby World Cup match schedule can get a little confusing, so asking other fans for an update could be your best bet to ensure you don’t miss a game. Translating to "What is the next match?" this phrase helps you stay informed about the tournament schedule so you don't miss out.

10) Merci beaucoup! – Finally, don't forget to express your gratitude with a heartfelt "Thank you very much!" as you bid adieu to this unforgettable experience.

The Rugby World Cup is more than just a sporting event; it's a celebration of unity, passion, and shared love for the game. With these essential French phrases, travellers not only navigate the Air France flight, the streets and stadiums with ease but also forge connections that go beyond language.
