3 Reasons to Choose #InstaxLinkWide Smartphone Printer @InstaxA #ProductReview

Hi Friends,

Instax loved my review of miniLiPlay and miniLink printer and sent me this new Instax Link Wide Smartphone Printer to test and review the same too. I received the same in Ash White colour and the device is also available in Mocha Gray colours too. By the end of the review time, I wanted that the device shall remain with me due to several points which I will share with you guys here in my blog post.
3 Reasons to Choose Instax #LinkWide Smartphone Printer @InstaxA #InstaxSA #ProductReview
1. Size of the prints - This device and the wide Instax prints have definitely brought Instax to the normal film prints we used to collect when we were using reel cameras from Kodak and other brands. I still have lots and lots of photos stored in the albums in the postcard size prints (90mm x 130mm). Using this wideLink camera you can print any photo of your choice using the smartphone app in 62mm x 99mm size which looks much better than the smaller Instax prints. The use cases to have these bigger prints can be many as they give you the creative ability to do whatever you want. The pack of 10 instax films is only marginally expensive and retails around R199.
3 Reasons to Choose Instax #LinkWide Smartphone Printer @InstaxA #InstaxSA #ProductReview
2. Portability and Convenience - The device can be recharged using the micro-USB charging cable and could have been a Type-C as it's launching in the year 2021 where almost all the devices are Type-C. One charge can print up to 100 prints easily and takes around 2 hours to fully charge. The package also contains a plastic stand where you can place the device to upright it. The device looks beautiful and can be carried too as it's only 340 grams. There is a strap that comes in the package to make the portability easier but the stand you need to put it someplace safe so as to not lose it.
3 Reasons to Choose Instax #LinkWide Smartphone Printer @InstaxA #InstaxSA #ProductReview
3. Instax App and Filters - Instax always have an exclusive app for all of its printers and this time also launched a new app for both android and iOS platforms named Instax Link Wide app. Now once the app is installed, how the photos need to come all lies in your creativity. From simple photos to getting stickers on the photos to QR codes for secret hidden messages, the use cases for your creativity are numerous. There are editable templates, collage prints, can use stickers and you can even sketch and print your own designs on your photos. This time because bigger sizes do require better colour tones for print, the app also has a mode to showcase rich prints using two modes named rich and natural based on your choice.
3 Reasons to Choose Instax #LinkWide Smartphone Printer @InstaxA #InstaxSA #ProductReview
I really loved this device due to its bigger photo print size but once you are in this business you need to decide which photo printers you should go for as the price of the device is around R2599 and every film pack will cost around R199. You can also check out if you are in love with normal prints any Canon Selphy printers where the overall cost is half as compared to the Instax device. The style and design factor is amazingly high on this device as compared to any other smartphone printer from other brands. I am sure you will never go wrong making this investment if you are into photo printing for fun and creativity.
3 Reasons to Choose Instax #LinkWide Smartphone Printer @InstaxA #InstaxSA #ProductReview
I did an unboxing video of the device on my Youtube channel which by your grace is now near 1000 mark subscribers and has more than 250 videos for your viewing pleasure. Thanks to Instax South Africa for sending their amazing products for my review and now I am thinking of putting all of the photos in an album specially dedicated to Instax prints.

Cheers!!!

RUNAWAY LUGAAI @MXPlayer #Comedy #Drama #RunawayLugaai #MXOriginalSeries

Hi Friends,

After the grand success of Aspirants, I started looking for more web series featuring Naveen Kasturia to check out his acting and came across this one on MXPlayer Digital Platform where a lot of web series are getting launched. They have been funded by Tencent and Times Group and moved into the OTT platform on 20 February 2019. They have a lot of good web series including Aashram for which Bobby Deol won the best performance male aware from Filmfare last year.

Coming back to the Runaway Lugaai, the web series starts Naveen in the main role as a Judge Rajnikant Sinha, being led by his father MLA Narendra Sinha played by Sanjay Mishra. The story revolves around the relationship between father and son and that's the funniest part of the whole series. There are some of the courtroom drama that too brings in a lot of comical moments too. Naveen has played his role really well and has created great chemistry with all the artists he is shown closure to in this web series. Narendra wants to get the ticket for the next elections and wants to use his Judge son to clear all the cases on the current CM and his henchmen. There are certain secrets that get revealed as you go episode after episode which will bring you to the irony of life.
RUNAWAY LUGAAI @MXPlayer #Comedy #Drama #RunawayLugaai #MXOriginalSeries
The Lugaai who is being chased is Bulbul Pandey played by Ruhi Singh. Rajni chooses to marry Bulbul when he goes to see his sister for an arranged marriage proposal but she has certain demands that one who wants to marry her should come on 10 white horses carriage. She is a tomboyish bold kind of personality and lives her life on her own terms. This gives Rajni some kind of power and freedom to go against his father as he starts to fall in love with Bulbul. Her role is limited in the web series as compared to the other artists shown throughout the series.

Arya Babber plays Justin Biber aka Rakesh who is one of the friends of Bulbul from which she seeks help to run away to chase her dreams of becoming a movie star. Even the father of Bulbul, Dashrath Pandey played by Chittaranjan Tripathy whose acting is really matching the level of Sanjay Mishra. Both of them have created a lot of funny moments throughout this web series.

Runaway Lugaai is a 10 episode long web series on the MX Player app for free and can be easily binge-watched in a single sitting. There is nothing much in terms of being extraordinary but if you are a fan of Sanjay Mishra or Naveen Kasturia, you can definitely watch the same. Even if you don't want to watch, you can save your time for sure. There is a small role given to Ravi Kishen too to bring in star power but there is nothing much overall in this web series. Also, this is an adult comedy so don't watch it with kids and there are some scenes too as the whole story revolved around marriage and thereafter.

RATING - 1.5/5

Cheers!!!

MAHARANI @SonyLiv #MaharaniOnSonyLIV #Political #Drama

Hi Friends,

MAHARANI is one of the latest web series launched on Sony Liv Online Platform on 28-May-2021 featuring Huma Qureshi, Sohum Shah, Amit Sial, Pramod Pathak, Atul Tiwari, Vineet Kumar and various others in an action-packed Indian Political Drama featuring Bihar State as the background and its related problems based on caste and creed. It's one of the states where everyone thinks he is the Kingmaker of the government and can make or break the whole legislative assembly of the state along with a substantial amount of say in the Parliament of the Indian Government.

The series has 10 episodes and the names of each episode come from Quotes from Sant Kabir Das and are written and created by Subhash Kapoor whom we famously know from the Jolly LLB movie series. He has captured the nuisances of the Bihar state quite well and focussed on the various problems the state faces. The timelines showcased is inspired by the real-life events when Lalu Prasad Yadav made his wife Rabri Devi the Chief Minister of the state. Huma Qureshi has acted really well and Amit Sial is the one who rises above all with his constant fight to be the state CM and trying hard missing it at every moment by a small margin. Karan Sharma is the director of the web series.

#TheLifesWayReviews MAHARANI @SonyLiv #MaharaniOnSonyLIV #Political #Drama

Rani Bharti is well supported by her Secretary Kaveri Sridharan played by Kani Kasruti. There are a lot of special moments between her as she tries to teach Rani how to sign and raises her confidence and helps her along the way. Similarly, Sohum's character CM Bheema Bharti is supported by Satyendranath Mishra played by Pramod Pathak and a lot of camaraderie is being shown between them too. They grow and fall together as a team. Amit Sial played Navin Kumar a leader who is in the ruling party but leaves to join the opposition party after having some differences with CM Bheema Bharti. It's being showcased that Bheema and Navin used to be classmates in college and both come from different caste structures and Bheema winning the race to woo the Governors and other important top leaders in a better way. Underlying all the drama, there is an investigation into the Chara Ghotala or Fodder Scam being led by Parvez Alam played by Inaalmulhuq.

Some funny characters are also introduced in the series played by Vineet Kumar as Gauri Shankar Pandey and Mohammad Aashiq Hussain as Prem Kumar Chaubey. There was no need for the Baba or Ashram kind in the later part of the series which seems out of place as the character didn't get enough build-up and we have already seen a great performance of Bobby Deol so this was looking all fake and not required. Just to complete the background story it is introduced and I think it could have been omitted by the editor or could be shown as some other politician negotiating the deals out of all the kingmakers.

It's a story of a housewife coming out of age and taking the top position of Chief Minister of the state and then learning the ropes of the trade despite her limited education. She follows her heart and takes all decisions towards correcting the wrong into right and making bold decisions along the way. She goes against what society thinks about her and creates a path that is rightful in her own mind despite fighting an internal battle of wife, mother, power, fame and continues to take responsibility towards the poor and needy of the state. The best thing is they didn't try to copy-paste the setup completely from real-life events and the oratory style of Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav which really brings in the director's unique way and style of storytelling.

#TheLifesWayReviews MAHARANI @SonyLiv #MaharaniOnSonyLIV #Political #Drama

It's really something you can binge-watch as you would want to know more about the state, how a homemaker entered the politics and took the charge of things in her hands and learned her way to really deserve the top spot and remain there for a long time. Some of the scenes showcased are really difficult to digest between the Naxalites vanishing the whole village to prove a point to the government and the political parties supporting their activities by providing them money and ammunition. Also, as told earlier in Politics there are no relationships of blood but of loyalty to the chair and the kingmaker controls the whole money and fame game so here there is a big twist that will keep you engaged in the background story in the last two episodes. Overall, it's a must-visit show on Sony Liv and I totally loved watching the same after another one on the platform named Scam 1992. There are a lot of dialogues but the best I remember is ''Haathi chale bazaar aur kutta bhaunke hazaar'' meaning Elephant walking to the market and thousands of dogs barking at him.

RATING 4/5

A Memoir - This Month Last Year - Jun 2020 www.thelifesway.com #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends,

June 2020 was the first month when I had to move into rented accommodation and started living on my savings and wife's salary. I was still out of projects and was on leaves for the whole month. I watched a lot of web series and did a lot of Youtube videos on my channel and some of the Photo review posts on my platforms. The whole year has passed and I still am at around 775 subscribers on my Youtube channel. I think it will take me another year to pass the monetization model as my current viewing hours is just hanging around 300 hours or so in the past year. It needs to reach 4000 hours every year. I need to push some viral content and try to enhance the quality of offerings.

These are all the web series, movies and Punjabi movies I watched and reviewed. Must have seen more and only reviewed these for sure. I was also doing a lot of educational courses throughout the day and in the evenings I was watching all these movies.

@HuaweiZA to Launch Affordable SmartBand with Superior Smartwatch Features #HUAWEIBand6 #MoreThanABand

Hi Friends,

Smartwatch-like features like all-day SpO2 monitoring, large display and extended battery life at the budget of a smart band

Huawei has announced that it will be launching a new smart band in mid-June, and it promises to be a game-changer for the wearable market. The latest fashion smart-band with extended battery life, it comes with all-day SpO2 monitoring, a large full-view AMOLED display and a 2-week battery life in addition to a host of features that will make your life a whole lot easier.
@HuaweiZA to Launch Affordable SmartBand with Superior Smartwatch Features #HUAWEIBand6 #MoreThanABand
This comes at a good time, as there has recently been a significant increase in people becoming invested in their personal health and well-being, and a concurrent increase in the demand for smart wearables with health monitoring and fitness tracking capabilities. However, the premium price of these devices is often a pain point for South Africans. Huawei addresses this with its new smart band, which brings all the features seen on its smartwatch into the form factor and price of a smart band, making it more accessible for all users and allowing it to be a lot more than just a smart band.
@HuaweiZA to Launch Affordable SmartBand with Superior Smartwatch Features #HUAWEIBand6 #MoreThanABand
Huawei’s commitment to innovation, quality and customer service is clear in the development of its wearables range. It is not surprising, then, that Huawei is leading as the Number 1 in the wearables market in South Africa in terms of sales, a position that the company is proud of and intends on maintaining in 2021.

This new wearable will be launched on 18th June, but consumers can be ready to Pre-Order Online on the 11th June 2021. Keep a lookout for more information coming soon!

@HuaweiZA #PetalMaps Offers Users A New Way to Explore the World

Hi Friends,

Huawei has been working hard to develop a comprehensive mobile services ecosystem that covers all the needs of a user to make their life more convenient. Adding to its list of apps and services under Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), the company recently launched Petal Maps, its official map and navigation app.

With the holiday season now upon us, many people will be travelling to different holiday destinations and visiting loved ones, so Petal Maps with its cutting-edge functions will come in handy, providing a new way to explore the world.

Those who travel frequently, whether for business or pleasure, can land up in unfamiliar places and need to be able to track where they are and how they are going to get to their destination. Luckily, Huawei’s Petal Maps provides various functionalities for ease of travel so you can have the best experience.

From a view of a dynamic map to search and navigation to distance and travel time estimation to traffic information updates, the mapping and navigation tools in the app ensure you are on the right track.

How to use Petal Maps for the best experience
Petal Maps lets you save all the places you like visiting as favourites so that you can conveniently access them from one place whenever you need to navigate. For instance, you can set Home and Work locations as favourites by simply saving them. This data can also be synced to HUAWEI Cloud using your HUAWEI ID so that when you switch devices you can still access this data instantly.

With an immersive map display providing an interactive 3D view, Petal Search lets you explore your surroundings dynamically when you pan, tilt, rotate and zoom on the map display.

The app allows for smart interactions with a device for a safety-first approach. You can use a hand gesture to zoom in and out of the map overview as you navigate. The interface can be set to dark or light mode as preferred for daytime or nighttime conditions.
@HuaweiZA #PetalMaps offers Users A New Way to Explore the World
Safe navigation and information safety
Let driving be your sole focus while Petal Maps gives you turn-by-turn voice guidance so that you can avoid getting distracted by looking at the screen while driving. In addition, it will help you locate the best route to your destination, as it takes into account real-time traffic information.

Safety concerns are not limited to driving safety, though. Privacy and information protection in cyberspace are of great importance, especially when it comes to sensitive information about your whereabouts and places you frequent. Huawei complies with local laws and regulations to protect user data and privacy, so you needn’t worry about your location data being accessed by anyone as it has end-to-end encryption.

The new Maps app in town is a much-needed tool that is Huawei-developed, with the Huawei user in mind. Consumers can rely on this app for all their navigation needs as they explore their country, and soon hopefully the world again, in a new way.

Cheers!!!

Explore the City of Gold #Johannesburg @HuaweiZA #HuaweiMate40Pro Smartphone Camera

Hi Friends,

Johannesburg was established in 1886 following the discovery of gold. It is now South Africa’s commercial, financial, industrial, and cultural hub and the biggest city in South Africa. These are just a few reasons why you should take time to explore the city of Johannesburg any weekend or weekday and photograph some of the amazing spaces this place has to offer. Tourism is open for business again and it’s good to show our support; just ensure you wear your mask at all times, keep your distance, and bring your hand sanitiser.

Here are four places you can explore in Jozi today -

1. Take vibrant wide-angle shots with Lebo's Soweto Backpackers
This celebrated establishment was one of the pioneering tourism businesses in Soweto to revolutionise what 'township tourism' could mean in South Africa. The best way to explore Soweto is by taking a cycling, walking or Tuk Tuk tour and Lebo’s offers two-hour, half-day or full-day options. The routes include visits to places of historic and cultural interest such as Vilakazi Street, with the Nelson Mandela House Museum and the Hector Pieterson Museum; the men's migrant workers hostels; churches; and local community meeting places where you can experience traditional African customs such as home-brewed beer and vetkoeks (fat cakes), and mingle with the community.

What started off as a small backpacker’s hostel in a family home has expanded over the years into a thriving business that employs dozens of locals. This backpackers has a very vibrant ambience and the staff are well versed in the history of Soweto, which you can experience during the township tour. You can capture wide-angle shots of the streets of Soweto during your Tuk Tuk tour, especially on Vilakazi Street, where you’ll often find street performers entertaining tourists and stalls with local trinkets on the sidewalks.

2. Dive into the detail at Constitutional Hill
This former prison and the military fort is another place to learn about South Africa’s journey to democracy. During its 100-year history, this precinct confined tens of thousands of men and women of all races, creeds, ages, social status and political agendas, including Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Albertina Sisulu and Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.

You can spend an average of two hours exploring the different parts of the old forts, including a section for male prisoners known as Number Four, a women’s jail, an awaiting-for-trial block and South Africa’s highest court, the Constitutional Court. Many concerts and big events like AFROPunk Johannesburg have been held here as a representation of freedom and also a remembrance of years past. If you’re looking to capture memorable moments at Con Hill, then you’ll most likely take close-up shots for more detailed depictions of the cells and other parts of the space.
Explore the City of Gold #Johannesburg @HuaweiZA #HuaweiMate40Pro Smartphone Camera
3. Get moody with lighting in Maboneng Precinct
The Maboneng Precinct is one of the coolest neighbourhoods in South Africa and one could even say in the world. A no-go zone until the end of Apartheid in 1994, Johannesburg’s Maboneng has since transformed into a lively urban area with blossoming art and culinary scenes.

What makes Maboneng so captivating is the vibrant and unique characters on its streets, buildings and restaurants and the people who come to enjoy its fine art galleries and museums, markets, lively rooftop bars and amazing parties. You can also experience some of the best sunsets on the many rooftops in this part of the city and enjoy a few drinks and local food at the bars and restaurants such as Patta Patta. Because of Maboneng’s varied aesthetic, you will want to capture moody pictures by playing around with the camera shutter speed and lighting for your pictures, which is very common in street photography.

4. Capture slow-mo at Gold Reef City
This family-friendly attraction situated just eight kilometres from the city centre features thrilling theme park rides and historical exhibits. The attraction hosts reproductions of buildings and businesses that represent the history of South Africa, particularly in the mining sector.

Additionally, you can tour a disused shaft of the Crown Mines, one of the richest gold mines in the world. The park also offers dedicated rides suitable for the whole family, as well as a petting zoo and other games. Gold Reef City is perfect for capturing motion pictures as well as slow-mo video angles with all of the twists and turns of the rides and animated faces of people enjoying themselves.

With the many nooks and crannies, Joburg has to offer, you’ll want to make sure you have the very best smartphone camera to capture all these treasures. The HUAWEI Mate40 Pro will give you instagram-worthy pics to keep you posting for many more months to come.

Bring your new HUAWEI Mate40 Pro with you to take beautiful photos of all the amazing spaces the city has to offer while putting the device’s cameras through their paces. These include the ultra-wide-angle camera and Swing Gesture Sensor, 240fps slow-motion video capture, which is now available on the front camera and supports 4K video capture, and the 50 MP Super Sensing Wide Camera.

Buy the HUAWEI Mate40 Pro before 30 April for just R19,999 on the Huawei Store (Online) and receive a complimentary bundle consisting of HUAWEI FreeBuds 3, a HUAWEI Wireless Charger CP60 and the HUAWEI VIP Service, all valued at R5,697. Stock are limited. Ts and Cs apply.

My Experiments with LG Mobiles in #India and #SouthAfrica @LGMobileSA #TakeFlight

Hi Friends,

As the internet and youtube are flooded with the LG Mobile division closing down news, let me share my experience with the brand over all these years. My first invite to a smartphone launch event was with LG only for LG G2 way back on 30-Sep-2013 at Kingdom of Dreams in Gurugram, Haryana, India. This was my first invite and I totally loved attending the same. Also, I got to understand the power of a visiting card as the goodies bag was only given to those press or media invitees who have their cards printed. I somehow was ahead of the curve so got them printed as soon as I bought my domain name which in turn was motivated by one of my then friends Murtaza Ali Khan who runs a Movie Review blog and is now a big-time critic in the film industry and comes on TV and Youtube platforms. He along with others told me that it shows the seriousness and enthusiasm you have towards your venture and also some level of professionalism which I took to heart. I also received my first 4GB Sandisk Pendrive which I have kept still with all my important paperwork of South Africa. Also, I got my first Android Desk Speaker which has thing nice light as well as a micro-SD card to play songs from. I fall in love with the back button for easy selfie clicks in LG G2.

My Experiments with LG Mobiles in India and South Africa @LGMobileSA #TakeFlight
Taken using LG Mobiles V20 Smartphone

When I came to South Africa, I have been chasing the LG Mobiles for the invite to their LG G3 launch event but only got the chance to attend LG G4 at a Morells Boutique Estate in Cresta. I got a small mobile stand as part of the launch event which I had bought earlier long ago from London's Pound Land long back for a pound. Also, I got to attend a session on how to take good smartphone photographs at Vega School in one of their Instagram contests which I attended on a Saturday morning. I got to review and test the LG G4 Beat as well as the LG V20 smartphone too. I really loved LG V20 because of all the feature regarding the audio capturing and a device ready for content creators at that time and it used to come with Bang and Olufsen earphones too.

The last event I attended was the launch of some TVs by LG as well as LG G5 where I got some macaroons as a gift to be part of the launch event. In between,  Anyhow, I got the device to review and won the Mall of Africa launch contests and got an R1000 GV from Kurt Geiger using the photographs clicked using the ultra-wide camera of LG G5. At that time, I was promoting my blog posts using software bought for 2 years where tweets will be shared again and again leading to the LG blocking my Twitter handle in 2016 or so and the same is true till today also.

My Experiments with LG Mobiles in India and South Africa @LGMobileSA #TakeFlight

The last response I got was from the new PR agency to come to one of the Soccer gaming charity match on a Saturday afternoon at their head office in Midrand and nothing after that in terms of any earphones to review or anything else too so it was a total time and money waste from my ROI perspective as I did some free blog posts too as a new initiation with LG Mobiles SA.

Overall, I have not used the LG smartphone as my day to day device other than the modular LG G5 where you can change the battery - a revolutionary step amongst all smartphone makers and used its wide-angle camera to win myself some cool wool sweaters from Kurt Geiger. I am thankful to LG Mobiles for all the goodies and also I received an LG X Screen smartphone which I gifted to my mother-in-law on her first trip to South Africa. She is still using the same on a daily basis and so far there has been no issue she has faced in the phone, only thing is the screen and the phone has cracked or modified at one end due to putting Super Glue on the smartphone cover which permeated to the actual smartphone by an intelligent teenager at her home.

Thank You LG Mobiles for bringing to market a lot of great features in smartphones. I will miss you but there is always a chance to rise from the ashes but till that time sleep well and may the focus be with you to create more OLED TVs and Home appliances. If ever you need my channels, do get in touch and I will be happy to promote your products once again but not for free for sure!

Cheers!!!

Hi Friends,

I have not been able to focus on my blog and I completely forgot about these posts as the complete focus was on getting Youtube content out but that too took a back seat in the first quarter of 2021. Blogging has given me a lot of stuff but also some companies and brands have made the misuse of my kind heart and sometimes I too abused the system. In 2021, I decided to not do the free stuff for any of the brands and PR companies whatsoever but I am not able to write my own posts so far. I keep thinking about them but then I have been busy in interviews for my project at the job and various other job-related tensions. I have thought about closing The Life's Way many times since the lockdown but this is the thing that keeps me glued to who I am and gives me a way to express myself in whatever manner I can via posts or photographs on various social media platforms.

In January 2020, there is not even a single post as I was enjoying my annual holidays for the first time in India and before that, it was around 3 years since I travelled to India. It was also the Mundan ceremony of my son as well as the second birthday of Reyansh. I got to see the Golden Temple too in Amritsar and also on our way back we saw Dubai and Abu Dhabi too. It was just around that time when we didn't know about the growing impact of Corona and just kept running in front of the same. India and Dubai just started to show signs once we reached back in Johannesburg in the mid of February 2020.

A Memoir - This Month Last Year - Jan 2020 www.thelifesway.com #TheLifesWay #2250Post

Covid-19 took my project allocation away from me and I was on the bench and was sent from my deputed location to the home location. This meant that my salary and other benefits were reduced which was really not so great if you continue to live in a foreign country on your own.

I am really grateful to the universe for everything that he sends towards me and it's giving me the power every day to carry on one step at a time. Enjoy your time on Planet Earth and do something for Mother nature on a day to day basis. Reduce your carbon footprint and reduce plastic use.

Cheers!!!

Autumn/Winter Menu Highlights
With the weather cooling down, The Grillroom & Sushi Bar has put together a delicious and hearty autumn/winter menu to entice your tastebuds and take you on a journey of culinary delights. I was lucky enough to be tasting the vegetarian options for myself and totally loved the same very much.

“Think warm, spicy, rich, creamy aromas to slow roasts, pies and the Classic Bread-And-Butter pudding. Our menu boasts some South African favourites made with a classic twist,” says Head Chef Jamie Sutherland.

He says the menu at the newly launched restaurant in Brooklyn, Pretoria, features dishes made from homegrown produce to support local farmers.

The starter menu highlights include sautéed Warm Chicken Livers with a creamy green peppercorn sauce served in a crispy potato skin basket, and a classic Steak Tartare cut from prime fillet steak, made with cured egg yolk and accompanied by a light tartare sauce and teriyaki sauce to lift the flavour combination.

New dishes featured on the main course menu are a bean casserole infused with chorizo sausage for a warm kick, served with a 36-hour Slow Roasted Marinated Lamb Shank, slow-roasted for 8 hours. The Grilled Venison Pie with red wine infused gemsbok is cooked with lovely chunky vegetables to produce a rich thick stew. This is topped with a light puff pastry lid and served with a smooth parmesan mash.

The Kassler Pork Chop is marinated for three days before being lightly smoked in the Mibrasa oven for two hours to give it a distinct smoky flavour and it is then char-grilled to perfection. The dish is served with a warm baby potato salad with green beans and a light vinaigrette dressing. A roasted red pepper salsa adds a little kick to the dish.

The slow-cooked Succulent Pork Belly has distinct flavours of cumin and thyme and is served with sweet potato mash infused with grated Granny Smith apple, braised red cabbage and a grain mustard and cream sauce.

For vegetarians, the Grilled Butternut Salad is a must-have, served with mixed leaves, cream cheese, garlic dressing, dried cranberries, toasted pumpkin seeds and crispy onions.

Desserts Make It Big...
New desserts added include the tale of the Decadent Cream Tart. The melt-in-your-mouth sweet pastry crumbles to reveal a smooth chocolate sponge with a layer of rich chocolate ganache topped with strawberry curd and finished with a creamy crème patisserie. The blood orange sorbet when combined with a spoonful of the tart brings out the sheer beauty of this dish.

The Chocolate Smore, with a salty crunchy base and a rich chocolate mousse, is topped with toasted marshmallow and a thin layer of fresh raspberries to cut through the sweetness. The restaurant’s home-made coffee ice cream adds to the combination of textures and flavours.

The Millionaire Shortbread will have you nostalgic for Granny’s desserts. This crumbly shortbread is topped with rich salted caramel and covered in dark chocolate. For a little extra treat, we serve it with Cointreau-infused orange bonbons and a home-made bitter orange ice cream.

The Coconut Panna Cotta consists of toasted coconut-infused cream and a raspberry sponge combined with a delightful surprise - a beetroot jelly and a home-made rose and beetroot sorbet. When you combine all the components on your spoon and place It in your mouth, the flavours explode into a heavenly delight.

Passion-Fruit Brulee is a flavourful rich cream dessert, topped with crunchy caramel. The home-made pomegranate and black pepper sorbet helps to reduce the richness but takes nothing away from the flavours.

The Classic Bread and Butter pudding layers brioche coated in butter and apricot jam, together with dried cranberries and is baked with a fresh egg and cardamom flavoured custard. The dessert is complemented by home-made cinnamon ice cream and fresh cream.

“If my mother made bread and butter pudding like this, I wouldn’t have left home. Our menu has everything for everyone, and I have no doubt you’ll be back for more,” concludes Chef Jamie.
