HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 goes in further, being equipped with Huawei’s proprietary Kirin A1 chipset to further improve on battery life. The Kirin A1 chipset integrates an advanced Bluetooth processing unit, a powerful audio processing unit, an ultra-low power consumption application processor and a separate power management unit. The application processor uses the Cortex-M7 processor to achieve ultra-low power consumption of 10uA/MHz, which is far below the industry average of 30uA/MHZ. All-in-one 3D glass design for expansive display experience
Classic design never goes out of style. Inheriting the classic look from the previous generation, HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 further upgraded the aesthetics with a full-screen and borderless design. The game pushes the boundaries of the arcade genre with a collection of unique features and fast-paced stage progression for an addictive and intuitive gaming experience. Hi Friends,

I am been a fan of music and due to which I am a huge collector of earphones and headphones along with various types of MP3 players and devices. I have all the devices or used to have all the devices from Sony Walkman to Sony MP3 CD players to the latest Apple iPod Shuffles and Nano to even some dodgy local ones from cheaper brands. I am an ardent fan of loading my music - my favorite set of songs into all the devices everywhere - be it in car or smartphone or iPad or laptop.

The problem I faced with all these devices or the mp3 players is the SHUFFLE mode which is totally outdated even when the new software and technology is still upgraded all the time. No matter which device I use the SHUFFLE mode works in the same patterns, making the same songs appear even when you have 16GB full of songs in different folders. This has troubled me so much that I switched off SHUFFLE play and went on to the Normal play which was much better than the same.

What Will You Order For Your Weird Craving? @Uber_RSA #UberEatsSA

Hi Friends, 

There’s nothing more satisfying than placing a food delivery order and having it arrive exactly as imagined - whether that means having your avo on the side or your drink with no ice. Uber Eats has released their first-ever Cravings Report which breaks down some of South Africa’s most unique delivery requests, some of the most unusual combinations and the wackiest comments made via the Uber Eats app from the last year. 

Let’s leave this off
It should be no surprise that tomato was the most requested food item to be left of any meal, with a total of over 200 000 orders placed over the last year that asked for the red vegetable to be left off. That's about 3 300 tomatoes saved from being picked off and wasted. Sauces finished off in second place, with mayonnaise being voted the least favourite since it was the most requested condiment to be left off. Rounding off the list was garnish items like lettuce and onion being removed from burgers to noodles. 

Local is lekker 
South Africans are known to be proud, and some restaurants had to adapt menu items to feed the cravings of locals. With at least 1 000 meals swapping out traditional starch for delicious pap. The local staple is loved so much, that many Eaters are willing to pay an additional restaurant fee to have it delivered with their meal. 

Chakalaka and achaar were also commonly used to replace chilli relish or BBQ sauce. It seems that the spicier the food the better it is for locals, who have on plenty of occasions stated that they prefer hot to extra hot when selecting the flaming flavour. South African flavours are a must and included with some local favourites including Kotas and vetkoek. Unorthodox but truly South African, is that some orders request that a tomato base be replaced with a chakalaka base on pizzas.

Emotional eaters because why not? 
South Africans are known to love food, but almost any scenario and its accompanying emotion can be celebrated or comforted via an order on the app. Exam periods and test weeks leave students with high stress levels, that can best be counteracted with slap chips. Other emotionally-charging occasions including, graduations, Valentine’s Day and Premier League Weekends, were also when the app experienced an influx in orders. 

No Barks, No Bites 
It’s a well known South African proverb that many are all too familiar with. At least 200 orders specifically stated that their dog does in fact not bite, and the delivery-partner is welcome to come into the yard. 

For any fear experienced by the barking dogs, it was easily made up because South Africans are nothing if not giving and kind. Many requests were received asking the restaurant to give parts of their order like chips, coffee and rolls to the delivery-partner when the order is picked up, so that they may enjoy it while still warm. 

As the cravings report continues to be unravelled and more weird wallops and crazy cravings are discovered, one thing is for sure, South Africans are as loving as they are unique and while some orders raise eyebrows, other requests warm hearts.

September is the start of the Spring season in Johannesburg, South Africa and it's the best season with pleasant weather and greenery all around. It's my 1800th post which I always wanted to cross since a long time and finally, it's happening today on 12th Sep 2019. 2019 has been a wonderful year so far and I am totally in love with myself and in 2018 - I had too much to work with those brands which didn't give me anything back for all my hard work and efforts. This year my decision to do only those brands which values me back is going ok, no so good as I wanted but I am happy with this decision as I continue to hold the same.

Get Ready for SA’s First AI Four Camera Smartphone @HuaweiZA #HuaweiMate20lite - http://www.thelifesway.com/2018/09/get-ready-for-sas-first-ai-four-camera.html - I won this phone at the Huawei P30 launch event and my wife started using the same but soon she didn't like the camera that much as compared to mine P20 so switched the same for mines. I gave this phone to my daughter who was struggling with my old HTC One M7 which was my 3rd HTC smartphone since Google G1. A cheap smartphone will remain cheap unless you are using the top version of the available model and I don't like using value for money smartphones. These smartphones are not my cup of tea.

I have got 2 Funko pops and 2 Funko keyrings with me in my collection.

I have not seen the actuals as I have stopped going to the electronics retail stores as I am going towards minimalism. Thanks to Samsung for bringing the latest tech to the market all the time.

I have not used this camera ever but I do love my Canon 77D camera and share all my shots with the world on my Instagram channels. 

I have been a little bit lazy in posting on my social media channels but now I have decided that I will do what I love most and passionate about. Whatever anyone else has to say can say and I won't be bothered by anyone? They were not there during my struggles and wins, how can they tell me what to do when I never asked for their opinions and judgments.

MSC Cruises – the number one cruise line in South Africa, Europe, South America, and the Gulf – has announced that the Company will be bringing two ships to South Africa’s shores for the 2020/2021 cruise season. This will mark the first time that two different class MSC Cruises’ ships (Lirica and Musica Class) will be deployed in the country simultaneously and will mean that 50,000 additional cruise passengers can discover why cruising in South Africa is booming.

From December 2020 to March 2021 MSC Opera, which will be homeported in Cape Town, will join MSC Musica homeported in Durban.

“Our decision to increase the number of ships for the South African cruise season in 2020/2021 is due to the significant growth in demand we have seen in our guest numbers over the past few years,” explains Ross Volk, MD for MSC Cruises South Africa. “Our most recent season saw a 25% increase in guests compared to the same period in 2017/2018. MSC Cruises has been bringing bigger and better ships to this country and enriching our itineraries as more South Africans are realizing that a cruise is an affordable, convenient and exciting holiday option.”

An exciting new Southern African itinerary for cruisers
MSC Opera, which can host approximately 2,500 guests and completely refurbished in 2014 as part of the Company’s Renaissance Programme, will offer 22 cruises next season alongside MSC Musica. MSC Musica can cater to approximately 3,200 guests and will offer 40 cruises. The ships will alternate routes, providing South African cruisers with a wider choice of options to suit their holiday needs. This means that both Cape Town and Durban ports of embarkation will get to experience the leading cruise line’s elegant and diverse product offering and enjoy more cruise destinations and packages than ever before.

One highlight of the 2020/2021 cruise itinerary is MSC Cruises’ 14-day New Year cruise around Southern Africa. The cruise will depart from Durban on 26 December and will incorporate destinations including Portuguese Island; Nosy Be, Madagascar; followed by Port Victoria, Seychelles; and then Port Louis in Mauritius, returning to Durban on 9 January. What makes this cruise particularly special is that it will be the first time that Port Victoria has been included in the cruise offering from Durban outside of MSC Cruises’ Grand Voyage.

Guests wishing to experience the delights of an MSC Cruises holiday in the 2019/2020 season can book onto MSC Orchestra, who will make her maiden voyage to South Africa in November, offering three-, four- and five-night sailings around the South African coastline until April 2020.

Highlights of these itineraries include Pomene Bay in Mozambique – a marine safari experience complete with its own beach club – Portuguese Island, and Maputo.

Continued investment in Africa’s tourism industry
MSC Cruises’ plan to bring two ships to South Africa in 2020 is part of the company’s commitment to investing in African tourism. This investment has included infrastructure development in Mozambique – a popular cruising destination for South Africans – and continued collaboration with the Namibian government, as Walvis Bay, is one of the ports that MSC Cruises sails to. There are also knock-on benefits for the tourist industries in the destinations that MSC Cruises sails to, which have been enhanced by increased passenger volumes.

MSC Cruises’ commitment to improving South Africa’s tourist infrastructure has been particularly noteworthy in its development of the Durban port terminal over the past few years. The most significant of these is its investment of over R200 million in the construction of the new world-class Durban Cruise Terminal as part of the KwaZulu Cruise Terminal Consortium (KTC).

“This multi-user terminal will make Durban an even more desirable destination for cruise ships from all over the world,” explains Volk. “It will substantially boost tourism numbers, create thousands of jobs and lead to supplier development. The construction of this state-of-the-art terminal is an exciting project that MSC Cruises is proud to be a part of. All the partners in the initiative will shortly sign off the final design of the terminal and groundbreaking is scheduled to begin in November this year. The design phase took a little longer than we anticipated, but it was vital that we got this right as we want the Durban Cruise Terminal to be an iconic destination. We hope the new port will be operational by January 2021.”

Netflix launched The Spy on 6th Sep 2019 based on the actual story of Israel's Eli Cohen who went to Syria during 1960 turmoils and passed on the sensitive military information from the country where he knew no one. It's a 6 episode series which showcases Eli's personal and espionage journey in a country unknown to him. The character is played by Sacha Baron Cohen and what a performance in this thriller drama from Netflix once again. He really came out on the top in all kinds of scenes from comedy to action. He really showed Eli's struggle inside his heart and mind and courage to do something great for his country.

I binged the series and completed the same in a single sitting and the tv series totally kept me on the edge of my seats. Though the end will be known to the world as Eli got caught in his last trip and was publically hanged in Syria. Since today his remains are not yet returned to Israel despite several efforts by his family, wife, and government.

The Spy is written and directed by Gideon Raff and Max Perry. Sacha himself produced the series with Raff. The mini-tv series gives an insight into the life of Mossad Spy who ventured into a country and sacrificed his life for the same. The series shows how he made contacts with the biggest military chiefs, political leaders, influencers to make inroads into getting information for his country. He really climbed up the ladder from a normal clerk to a rich influential businessman Kamel and stayed focused on his goal to send information back home. He was not only street smart but the best in his trade until he got caught. Israel treats him as a great hero because they won several wars because of his provided information. 

This Netflix TV series will keep you glued to your mobile or TV screen with each episode around 47-62 min totaling 319 minutes of entertainment waiting for you this weekend. Nadia Eli's wife role is played by Hadar Ratzon-Rotem and Noah Emmerich as Dan Peleg who recruited him as a spy to go to Syria. It's a span of 4 years in 6 episodes but really inspirational as to what an agent does for his country.

The robotics bug has truly bitten SA in a big way, and since its inception in 2009, the WRO SA has grown from 30 teams to a staggering 800! This year, there have been 5 provincial events across the country, with the top 9 qualifying teams who win the finals across the different categories getting the awesome chance to compete at the WRO international in Hungary!

The exciting news for Vodacom rAge is that the finals of the provincial events will be taking place over the course of the weekend and the public is invited to come to watch as teams literally battle it out for glory as their robotic creations come to life. The global theme of WRO for 2019 is “Smart Cities”, and we can guarantee that some of the smartest and most mind-blowing robotics projects are going to be coming alive as the city watches!

Friday afternoon will see the WRO SA National Explorer Competition teams coming out with some of the most interesting creations the WRO has seen to date. This category is not part of the international finals but is rather a category that allows juniors to be a part of this technological phenomenon that is taking the world by storm. These teams are made up of outreach robotics learners who, with the help of WRO SA and the Department of Science and Technology, have the awesome opportunity to be involved and potentially move up the ranks into the International finals and one day take their creativity and skill to compete overseas. This category showcases age-appropriate challenges on tabletops in which teams design, build and program a LEGO Mindstorms robot to solve a solution.

Over the course of Saturday, the WRO SA National Competition finals will take place where teams will have to have all their robotic guns blazing to ensure that they take top honors in the advanced robotics categories. This is where the stakes are really high because winners over the categories have the chance to take their teams and all their tricks to the world final in Hungary. There is also a football round-robin where 10 teams of two robots play autonomous football against each other using an infra-red ball and seekers plus a compass sensor – a supercharged and adrenaline-fueled tournament to test the builders!

Sunday is the day for all corporate teams to show their robotics chops in the Corporate Inter-Company Challenge. Teams can win awesome prizes by programming a robot to solve various challenges on a competition table. Truly a fun and interactive experience for any corporate teams who might be interested in getting their coding on!

The entire event across the weekend will be open for spectators to support the teams and get a taste of what the world of robotics is all about. Depending on the challenge, spectators can watch from the bleachers and cheer their favorite teams to glory or will be able to engage with the teams, get up close and personal with finalists and get a good look at all the action as it’s happening.
