Global Village is something unique and pleasure for those who don't have means to travel the world and this place allows you to see the replicas built to be enjoyed and take a lot of selfies to share with your families. 

The best part of these miniature models established is the details with which they are built and it's a pleasure to watch them with all the lights and shadows on them. The USA is represented by this Statue of Liberty in Manhattan, New York City. 

London has Big Ben now known as Elizabeth Tower in Westminister Abbey and the Houses of Parliament, London along with the double-decker buses in the city. 

What can beat watching a replica of The Burj Khalifa to remind people to visit this huge landmark representing Dubai on the world travel destination.

Leaning Tower of  Pisa in Pisa, Italy is known for its 4degree tilt and people all over the world visit the place to see the same but Abu Dhabi has its own Leaning Tower named Capital Gate building which is inclined 18degrees and is registered in Guinness books of world records. 

I am not sure if this is Pagoda or something else but by the looks of it, it looks like that only.  

Eiffel Tower in Paris, France needs no introduction and is being replicated in a lot of cities and countries in many parks and places. Even we have it here in Johannesburg, South Africa in a place called French Toast Coffee Cafe in Hartbeespoort. 

Sydney Opera house needs no introduction and this is the portion that will remain similar in all seasons as it will difficult to change the shops underneath on which this architecture is built. Only the other stalls and shops might be getting changed every season of Global Village. Let's wait and watch!

11 Years of Service in a Single Organization #TheLifesWayReviews

Hi Friends, 

It's been long 11 years in a single organization for me after my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Banking. It was definitely a dream come true to finally get into the organization which I could not gain entry after my engineering because of my awareness and careless attitude. It took me more than 6 years to get a job which can pay for my past, present and future requirements after Engineering and MBA degree in my hands. This is definitely a road to riches story for me as I started my wages from R20 per day before I started working for this organization. It was not because I was not educated, I was already an Engineer in Electronics and earning R20 a day I was still happy that I was able to wake up and go someplace at a certain time. I am still not rich to afford everything I want or desire but I am able to eat and travel wherever I want within my budget. I am grateful for all the 12 cheques I receive every year from this organization since last 11 years that I have been able to make my lifestyle and build a fortune.

My first month was for the Trainee Program to get into the culture of the organization and learn the specific skills required to work up the Corporate Ladder. The training program was full of new people to become friends with and enjoy the camaraderie among all the new joiners. We will go to a day-long class together, prepare case studies, play in the evening and then have dinner together. It was a culture to learn from them and also make them friends for life. I was given my preferred choice in terms of my career goals and location and soon I was there reporting to the allocation associates. I still remember that from my first salary, I bought myself jeans and a t-shirt as it was the worst purchase ever in my life because of the quality of clothes.

I spent some time on the bench before I could get into my first project as I was waiting for my training to get over in Oracle Apps. Soon I traveled to Kolkata on a business trip to learn the Oracle Apps in a classroom session and that's where I realized the grandeur of my organization. I got transit quarters to stay and was served best of food in the evening. It was there I watched Yuvraaj Singh hit 6 sixes live on TV one evening while enjoying the Air conditioning of the room.

Soon, I was back to projects and was assigned one after another. Some of them were as per my skills and some not. But overall I kept going and learning whatever I could from all the new associates I could meet in my organization and all the bosses I was working under. I did undergo a lot of online training in various topics when I was on the bench while learning Income Tax rules too and trying to save some money out of my junior trainee level salary. After my initial luck in the organization where my dream of drinking tea in a ceramic cup was achieved in a project where we were sitting at the client location and the catering there used to provide us food, tea, snacks, and cold drinks as and when we just call the kitchen. I really enjoyed my 3-4 months in that project before I took leave for my marriage.

After my marriage holidays, I was back on the bench and waited for more than 2 months to join another project and soon I was working day and night setting up myself in the project as well as at home as my wife came back to stay with me after leaving her job in Mumbai. This was the biggest mistake of my life and she could not find any suitable job for the next 2.5 years and my money problems raised instantly. I used to get some money from my brother to take care of all the accessories and special items needed to run the household and he was literally paying for all my credit card purchases. I continued to struggle to pay mines and my wife's education loan and savings was none.

We were blessed with a baby girl and soon after she turned 6 months, my wife got an opportunity to join back in her job profile. It was hectic at first and soon we could find one nanny and soon it felt that life is on track now. Savings wise it was still zero and I tried stock market too with the advice of my father's friend but soon I lost out on that too. As I changed the house from one rented one to another, I was given an opportunity to go to London (Onsite) and work there for six months. That brought another kind of challenge as I had to leave them in India as my wife could not travel and nanny too ran away because of some police checkings at that time (2010).

Being in London was a dream come true, my savings increased with which I could pay my loan off in the next 6 months and during the next 8 I stayed there, I saved for my future house. I bought my first laptop, my first Walkman, my first iPod Dock, my first Sony Handycam and many more things which are still part of my day to day life. I am still using my Dell Laptop XPS today and wants to move to Apple MacBook Pro. The job there also gave me the confidence to work under pressure and with an intelligent client. Meanwhile, I had to come back after 14 months as my wife and daughter were struggling without me.

Once you come back from onsite, the next one will be like you have to stand at the back of the queue and will take you some projects in between. Life was good as you could meet your friends daily and drink the tea at the tapri outside office. India offers a lot of good food and during this time, I enjoyed a lot with family and friends. For me, it took me more than 2 years and two overseas banks (worked at offshore centers) to come to my third one here in Johannesburg, South Africa. Coming here also took a lot of time due to VISA and other requirement but it was worth the wait. I have been working in Johannesburg for the last 5 years with various clients and it's a great experience.

Loyalty with one company doesn't pay you much in terms of salary hikes but it pays in the long terms due to onsite travel where you get additional benefits like extra allowance to sustain your living expense in a foreign country. I have been able to make the best of it all as I never thought about changing my job to any other company. But one day, I too want to work for the Apple's and Google's of the world but only if I am some kind of expert in the area they are looking for the right person and I am able to fit in that puzzle piece.

#SayYesToTheWorld by Venturing #TheBlindList Areas Within Your City @Lufthansa_India

Hi Friends, 

As the world is growing in population the far stretched areas earlier are more closer than it seems. Now we all have families living around the globe and we all want to celebrate the festive season with all of them. The technology advancement and air travel has brought all of us together to talk and meet at any time of the year. I too have a long list of travel destinations which I want and wish to go. These destinations will remain there and will become more beautiful as more and more tourists gets attracted towards them. But with increased population, some of the hot destinations like Paris, London, New Delhi, Tokyo and New York are already crowded with tourists around the year. This leaves with us with plenty of thoughts to find alternate destinations which are still not on people's radar. Travelers and Instagrammers around the world keep looking for these small towns and places to enjoy the untouched beauty of those destinations and have a relaxed time there. 

I too want to go to destinations like these but to reach that country, I do need to fly with Lufthansa at their value for money travel packages. But my ideal trip is not to the country outside my home. I have been raised in a protected environment where I was told not to go to certain places as it's not safe there. Parents and family members have their own preconceived notions which are not always wrong but we need to break away from them and make our own now. You must be having such dilemmas and mentality for some of the places in your respective cities and vicinity.

In this age of technology, it's very easy to make a collaborative approach to travel and see those areas which you have never visited in your own city. I too have a long list of places where I have never set my foot even it's just 5 kms from my home. I want to go checkout those places and technology allows me to be there. For example, I can have an Instagram meet and can ask my fellow members to come on a lazy Sunday morning for a stroll down those areas together. We can have some people belonging to that area which can guide us and show us the important junctions of those areas. 

Cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and I can say every city do have some areas like those where you must have not visited. Though the Instagrammers are trying to do it but we need to support them in the same by going in large numbers and making that area trend on social media channels. That's my idea of a Blind Date and venturing into the unknown and I am continuously trying my best to see those kind of place around the globe. I have lived in various cities in UK, South Africa, Singapore and India and have always seen the unseen. Earlier I didn't have camera to showcase what my eyes are seeing but a lot has been shared on Instagram after it's invention. For me, unless you say Yes to the World you will stay in your own comfort zone and will miss out on so many opportunities trying you make you a better person. 

There are many other ways to achieve the same as there are many social media platforms to do so, like Facebook live, Snapchat and many such apps. Even there can be a day where all the people can come together to showcase their respective City's Blind Zones and share them all on a single platform. I am looking forward to such times where all world becomes one and there is no racial discrimination on the account of city and country. Till that time...Cheers!!!

The Life's Way is going to celebrate its 5th birthday in 27 days now and the best thing that has happened is the launch of Anytime Anywhere Magazine South Africa Print Edition on 29th November and it features 2 articles written by me. Minimalism in Digital World and Margate: A Nostalgic Journey. It's my first experience and I am looking forward to all the comments/tips and tricks of the trade. Another story from my life belongs to the part where I always had a dream to drive an SUV for more than 2500 kilometers. It happened in India when we planned to travel to Allahabad for a friend's wedding from New Delhi on a road trip of 700 kilometers in Tata Safari. Tata Safari used to be the most sought-after vehicle in the SUV category because of its huge legroom and boot space along with a comfortable ride. As we started picking up friends in the evening, we planned a stopover after 200 kilometers for the night at her house. During that time we laughed, enjoyed and loved the journey all the way to Mathura. On reaching her house, we were served with the best food and comfortable night stay. But alas! as morning happened, I received a call from my wife that my daughter who was still 3 months old at that time was not well. She told me to come back immediately as we need to take her to doctor. I could not continue my journey any further and I had to return by roadways bus back to Gurgaon.

But another chance to fulfill this dream came in London when we planned a trip to Scotland during one of the Easter holidays and we planned a road trip of more than 2500 kilometers along with 4 friends. It involved visiting several places and booking accommodation at all those locations. We booked a category B car for the trip so that it's comfortable and can carry our luggage for the whole trip. When we reach Enterprise Car to pick up the car for the next morning ride to Lake District, to our surprise the guy gave us an automatic Chevrolet Captiva LT. It was awesome and took me some time to get adjusted to the automatic gear-box. As it was my first time, it gave me a hard time to find out how to open the petrol tank? It was so funny as I went through the manuals and took some 10-15 minutes standing in front of the petrol pump.

I started driving that night at 230am and continued to drive till 1100 pm in the night covering 1200 kilometers from London to the Isle of Skye via Lake District in a single day. It was an awesome trip and I felt very happy to be fulfilling my dream to drive an SUV for more than 2500 kilometers. Thank You, Universe! We always have a lot of small and big dreams and we shall always try to fulfill them sooner or later. Also, we need to keep making new dreams all the time as that gives us Hope to carry on and work towards them!

#Perseverance Part 2

Nobody believed my luck that day as I called my friend who was with me and also that day I had my house owner's daughter's birthday party so I returned immediately after getting the Sony Handycam from UEFA executives. As I was sitting in Jubilee Line to go to Wembley Park, I was all smiles as I always wanted a Handycam and thought that now I can make awesome videos from the same. London really fulfilled many of my small and big dreams and I simply love and adore this city!

Coming back to Perseverance, as it was London Summer time the sun used to set very late in the evenings and UEFA stalls used to get closed around 630-700pm. I used to leave office around 530 and reach Hyde Park to participate in the online contest at the stalls. I did it continuously on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and right on Thursday afternoon, I got another call from UEFA that I have won 2 tickets to the Finals between Manchester United and Football Club Barcelona. Again, I was overjoyed and collected the tickets in the evening that day. I couldn't believe my luck and it was awesome to win the prestigious tickets to the Finals of Champions League Trophy. 

Perseverance is what kept me going on my blog www.thelifesway.com as I continue to face discrimination despite creating content which is above average and giving ROI to brands much more than they deserve too for free. I have used my channels to promote a lot of brands from whom I have never got anything in return. As I celebrate my 5th anniversary of the #TheLifesWay I won't work for brands those who are not invested in me unless it's their first or second post with me. I also have family and also need time and money to work on myself and all these social media handles so there has to be a reward for the same.

Another story of perseverance in my life is all the facebook contests where there is some app and you need to play certain levels to win once you clear all the levels. Similarly, an Indian gaming website once had a campaign where you can redeem the points collected by playing their mini-games for a Hand Blender. I had heard earlier from my mom how much she desired the hand-blender so I thought it to be the right opportunity to work out the plan to reach that levels of points and earn the hand-blender for my mom. I worked for continuous 10 days playing a lot of games each evening after office hours at home till the time my eyes automatically used to shut down. I reached the level and ordered the hand-blender without the knowledge of my mom and took the delivery of the same in my office and then when I traveled back to my mom's place 275 kilometers far and gifted her the same she was so happy. I thought that my perseverance has paid off big time that day. 

Once I have set my mind to achieve something no one can change the same until I get that thing. I have that in me but it doesn't mean I have not struggled in my life. My life has always been a Life of Pi because I was born on 22 July so numerically its 22/7 which is a Pi value. The Life's Way is my love and passion which gives me smiles all the time I look at and some unfulfilled expectations which I am working towards on a daily basis.

Continuing the journey of the 5th year anniversary for my baby whom I grew from strength to strength and which kept me alive by giving me enough motivation and passion to carry on despite nothing turning out as I desired. Perseverance is a powerful skill and if you have the same, you can do wonders. I will tell you a story from my life where I got something great in my life by following this principle of life. 

I created my twitter handle @araijain long back on 14 Dec 2009 when I got the first Google Android Smartphone G1 from my brother who used to work for Google. It was a lovely smartphone which defined what is Smart and what lies beyond in the world of technology. I really loved the Google G1 because of its full-fledged sliding keyboard and ability to increase the memory using the micro-SD card. As it was the first smartphone from Google, it used to get the latest android updates till version 2.3 it got and after that it was kind of incompatible with the next versions of Android Operating System. I used it throughout my London Stay before getting migrated to Google's Nexus One smartphone so as to play Angry Birds on the same.

Coming back to the story of perseverance, it was during those times in London, I came across an advertisement in the Metro newspaper for the UEFA Champions League Trophy 2011 where the finals were to be held in Wembley Stadium and UEFA is organizing an awareness campaign in Hyde Park, London for the week following the finals. I had no clue about the football but only used to see people buying and wearing merchandise from Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and many such teams sponsored by many brands. Though I used to live right next to Wembley Stadium but never watched any football match before that time. I asked my friends if they want to go to Hyde Park on Saturday to attend the Road to Finals event but they declined other than 1 who said he wants to come and see the trophy live. 

We reached and venue and saw all the stalls setup and tried our luck in various competitions all day long. UEFA stall girls who were from Germany and were not fluent in English did some partiality in terms of handing out the right prizes to us when we answered some of the questions in one of their main stalls. We were happy with what we got and visited several of the stalls from video games to actual tshirts signed by biggest players. Messi was gaining much popularity and people were supporting him a lot. Meanwhile, my friend figured out all the 12 questions answers using a gang of Chinese people who were non-stop participating in the contest. We were not aware as to why and what’s the top prize but came to know when we also go our 12 questions correct in the online system. Not only I got the bagpack or the football as the prize but also stood a chance to see the finals at Wembley Stadium. Till that time our strategy was to get all the prizes nominated for 1 to 11 right answers and collect all the unique UEFA memorabilia. Crazy huh!!!

After a hectic day where I also got into the finals for that game where you have touch the blinking light in the fastest hands with the fastest time around to be called for the next round on Sunday, I reached and slept in my room. Next morning again I went alone to play the second round but could not perform better than the first day so couldn’t reach next round. 

Disappointed with my performance I was walking and enjoying the Hyde Park when I received a call from the UEFA team that I have won a Digital Camera to come and collect by a certain time. I became so excited that I ran to the main stall and waited there till the time the executives came and handed me a brand new Sony HDR 120GB Handycam in my hands. It was a moment of true joy and I thanked all Gods and everyone and immediately followed the principle of perseverance again by participating in the quiz contest. Rest story will be in another post tomorrow.

Paddington Dances With The Duchess Of Cambridge Before Coming to #SouthAfrica @SterEnt #Paddington2SA

The life-size Paddington bear, who recently charmed the Duchess of Cambridge, will be visiting South Africa at the end of this month to promote the upcoming Paddington 2 movie which will be hitting the South African big screens on December 1, 2017.

Yesterday, Paddington was spotted at Paddington station in London dancing with Kate, Duchess of Cambridge who is expecting her third child with Prince William. Paddington left the Royal family laughing and dancing with his presence. The royals, along with the cast and crew of Paddington 2 film, joined children on charity train ride.
