Enjoy The Journey With 5 Second Rule SA Travel Edition! @Solarpopgoplay #5SecondRule

Hi Friends,

Small enough to throw into a backpack, fun enough to amuse both adults and kids on a car journey, and perfect to take on holiday, 5 Second Rule SA Travel Edition is packed with entertainment.

“The travel edition is a very handy and compact mini version of the 5 Second Rule. Throw it into your backpack or into your hand luggage because it can be played anywhere, anytime. Coupled with this is its South African flavour, making it more relevant and adding to the fun. We predict that the travel version will become a staple in the board game drawer because it’s so portable,” explains Philip Galliford, spokesperson for Solarpop—distributor of 5 Second Rule SA Travel Edition.

More about the game
Can you name 3 of the “big five”? Can you do it with the pressure of 5 seconds twisting down a mini timer and with other players staring you down? 5 Second Rule SA Travel Edition is a game of speed, quick thinking, and lots of laughs.

Ideal for all ages from eight to ninety-eight, it requires players to say whatever comes to mind, even if the answers are ridiculous. The game is a global phenomenon; it was featured on the Ellen show, and now there is a South African version created specifically for us. The version was created right here on home turf by a group of gaming enthusiasts who stretched their thinking right out of the box. What we have now is a stack of cards with some outstanding questions on them.
Enjoy The Journey With 5 Second Rule SA Travel Edition! @Solarpopgoplay #5SecondRule
How to Play
The game concept is simple, everyone can grasp the rules easily. It hinges on people’s quick thinking and general knowledge. One player reads the question card, another flips the mini timer and the player whose turn it is has five seconds to answer the question. Every question asks the player to list three things—3 genres of music, sports where jumping is involved, and supermodels. Simple enough, but somewhat difficult under the crunch of five seconds.

“Unlike Trivial Pursuit, where players need to know facts, this game is about getting your brain working quickly with your mouth to spit out the words within the pressure cooker timeframe. There is no strict right answer and even if some of the answers are silly, you might still be awarded the point. It depends upon the group of people and the mood,” says Galliford.
Enjoy The Journey With 5 Second Rule SA Travel Edition! @Solarpopgoplay #5SecondRule
The game throws some other curveballs to keep play interesting, such as cards you can play to skip a question or have someone else answer. Players also decide on how many rounds to play, which ensures that every game is different.

The variations in play make the game thrilling. You can take it seriously and be very competitive about winning, or you can play for laughs. The more players, the funnier the game becomes, with more people spouting nonsense and silliness at every turn.

While the game is for two players and up, it lends itself to playing in groups, which adds to the hilarity. It’s the perfect game to take along on a camping weekend, on a train journey, to the beach, on a hike, or to your favourite getaway spot.
Enjoy The Journey With 5 Second Rule SA Travel Edition! @Solarpopgoplay #5SecondRule
The game offers immense play value, so it’s ideal as a gift, great to keep in the car, and perfect as holiday entertainment.

Available from Takealot, Hamley’s, and Toy Kingdom. RRP: from R199.99.

#TheLifesWay on @Youtube #MyYearOnYoutube 2021 @GoogleAfrica #Youtuber

Hi Friends,

Youtube Creators does everything in their power to bring some kind of happiness to your face as you are one of their creators who put their time and efforts into making the videos that are shared with the world. You may or may not have found your niche still which is true in my case but still, I continue to create content for the second year on Youtube in a hope that someday I will find my true purpose and will get that calling from my heart.
#TheLifesWay on @Youtube #MyYearOnYoutube 2021 @GoogleAfrica #Youtuber
In the year 2021, I focussed on much more unboxing videos as stuff started to come through as the lockdown level were relaxed and I won so many contests and bought a lot of gifts from time to time. There are currently around 231 videos on my channels and I have divided them into three categories -
  • Shorts - 51
  • Small (less than 5 minutes long) - 113
  • Full (more than 5 minutes long) - 67
#TheLifesWay on @Youtube #MyYearOnYoutube 2021 @GoogleAfrica #Youtuber
Samsung and Huawei have the largest number of videos as they both stand at 18 in total and let's see how far they will reach in 2022. The category that has the most video is my own personal Travel which has 56 videos in total and fireworks which has 10 so far.
#TheLifesWay on @Youtube #MyYearOnYoutube 2021 @GoogleAfrica #Youtuber
All the comments, likes, watch time take efforts of all the followers and whosoever even watch a second of the video. I generally delete all the negative comments which I don't like immediately as well as other promotional ones where a link is given or mentioned.
#TheLifesWay on @Youtube #MyYearOnYoutube 2021 @GoogleAfrica #Youtuber
All these stats don't make any difference until and unless you are earning something from these stats and for me, that point seems still so far. I need to put in some brains and make a strategy to come out on top of the game. I am providing all the stats to connect the dots next year to whatever has been my journey on Youtube till that time.
#TheLifesWay on @Youtube #MyYearOnYoutube 2021 @GoogleAfrica #Youtuber
The best part is that I am creating a community on the go with all my videos. Even a single increase in subscribers matters as they will come back one day and bring in more of their family or friends and I may see an exponential rise. There are so many topics I want to create videos in and I am still confused about the language I should make them in - Hindi, English, Haryanvi or Punjabi. I think I need to remove all confusion and mix all of these languages to feature a real me as it is.

I thank each and everyone who even watched my videos accidentally for the same and I hope to create much more meaningful videos in the future of 2022. I wish all the very best of this festive season to each and everyone on Youtube. THANKS!

Cheers!!!

8 Years of Life in #Johannesburg #SouthAfrica #9YearsofTheLifesWay 2450th Blog Post

Hi Friends,

2021 is almost over and this will also mark the 9th anniversary of The Life's Way and I wanted to have this 2450th blog post as my self-promotion rather than for any brand. I  completed 8 Years in Johannesburg on 2nd November 2021 and the best part for this year is that I got my South African driving license. Now I can drive here easily for the next 5 years or so.

Last time I did one report on my 5 Years of Life in Johannesburg and since then what I have achieved till date will be mentioned in this blog post -

My love my blog The Life's Way has crossed 3.4 Million page views and this is my 2450th blog post. I am currently using Samsung Z Flip 3 5G smartphone which is my first foldable device and I am really grateful to Samsung for the same. I am still driving the Honda Civic 1.8 Elegance but I want to move to an SUV soon enough next year. I also bought my first house in Johannesburg, South Africa and am now no longer living in rented accommodation and can buy my own stuff as per my requirements and needs. Lockdown due to Covid-19 gave me enough time to think about my priorities and now I intend to not waste my time on things of no returns like free blog posts for the brands who are not sending me anything or not even calling me to their launch events and not even retweeting the shared blog posts. Why waste time on such brands when you can have fun with limited few brands enough to last your lifetime?

During the last three years, I made trips to Kruger National Park, Garden Route, Northern Cape and many more places which I had not visited earlier too. My Google Maps photos have crossed 39 Million views and places reviews are standing at 214721 views. I have reviewed over 230 places so far and reached the top 10% places reviewer whereas I am the top 1% contributor in terms of photographs on Google Maps. In the next year or so I intend to reach Top 1% in terms of reviews too by taking the count to around 500+ reviews of places. 17092 contribution with 73025 points so far and still on Level 9 in the Let's Guide programme.

8 Years of Life in #Johannesburg #SouthAfrica #9YearsofTheLifesWay 2450th Blog Post

My youtube channel crossed 851 subscribers and has now 386k views in total. I have crossed 200 videos and also started posting Shorts on the channel. I am still far from the mandatory 4000 hours and 1000 subscribers to be considered for monetization by Youtube. Though I will continue to post videos on this platform but let's see where this takes us in the longer run. I don't see it reaching 4000 hours unless I switch to the Hindi/Punjabi language and create content in the same. I also plan to bring in some insights into how a person I am and what makes me unique in my own perspective if anyone wants to take inspiration or tips and tricks I followed and learned through the last 41 years of my life.

I have reduced my photography to a much smaller level as I didn't pick up my cameras other than for making Youtube thumbnails or to shoot some products. I mostly used the smartphone camera to cover my travels locally whatsoever and to post on Google Maps too. I am also giving away my Canon 100D to my brother-in-law for his Youtube channel on YOGA and other exercises like Pranayam, Meditation etc which has crossed the monetization stage and can achieve greater heights with a proper DSLR camera. I have thought of clearing my inventory of stuff which I don't want to use myself to reach the hands of people who can enjoy the same.

Keisha's channel was deleted by me due to some restrictions and now I plan to have her channel on my email id only. I will repost all her videos and will check if she wants to create more content in the future of 2022.

I now intend to try out other platforms too with all their new tools like Reels, Stories, IGTV and Live on Instagram. Similarly, I will try out Facebook Live and other tools to post regular content. I completed my 12 books this year in 2021 and am really grateful for the same as for the last few years I was not doing it. I now am putting a good pressure on myself to complete one per month and wants to continue doing the same next year too with 25 books to complete. I put all my reads to track on Goodreads - follow me there and I continue to read on my Amazon Kindle Keyboard which is so far working fine.

When I had Covid this year, I rewatched a lot of Bollywood movies on Youtube and loved seeing them and also I watch all the web series and movies in English and Hindi on the same day of the launch. I have not posted any reviews of those so far but I can do so in the near future as it means a lot of content for my blog posts.

Cheers!!!

Make Travel Easier and More Enriching With Your Smartphone @HuaweiZA #HuaweiPsmart2021

Hi Friends,

In this day and age, smartphones have become almost permanent extensions of our lives. The reason most people keep their phones so close is not just purely entertainment value but because of the fact that our phones are very useful, especially when on the go. From things like navigation apps, translations, photography and making reservations, our phones have radically changed the way we travel. And the HUAWEI P Smart 2021 will prove invaluable to you when planning your next trip.

Capture beautiful memories
As much as going on a holiday is about being present and limiting screen time, this doesn’t mean you have to stow your phone away for the entire trip; how else are you going to capture beautiful sunsets? Especially because the HUAWEI P Smart 2021 is equipped with a quad AI camera that includes a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth camera. Together, these cameras, and their impressive resolutions, will capture even the smallest details to the widest landscapes.
Make Travel Easier and More Enriching With Your Smartphone @HuaweiZA #HuaweiPsmart2021
Also, safari selfies are a thing on Instagram, and we all know it’s bad manners to deprive followers of an Instaworthy out-in-the wild selfie. The phone’s front-facing camera, which delivers crystal-clear selfies, and the automatically activated circular flash will ensure you look sharp and vivid even in low-light environments. So, go ahead and snap away and don’t forget to post on Instagram (because without a safari picture, were you even there?).

Stay on track
Being on vacation is mostly about rest, but exploring your new space can also be fun. The last thing you want to do is for your smartphone to run out of battery, especially if you don’t know your way around. How else are you going to find your way back to your Airbnb? With the phone’s 5000mAh, AI power-saving, eight power reduction solutions and 22.5W SuperCharge, which allows you to charge your battery in no time, you can rest assured that you won’t be needing to remember where the yellow brick road is, as your phone’s battery will still be powered up.

Yes, to plenty of storage space!
Whether you’re planning a road trip playlist, or planning Saturday movie night, you won’t need to worry about how much music and how many videos to upload, as storage on the HUAWEI P Smart 2021 is not a problem. The 4GB RAM effectively allows you to run multiple apps simultaneously and switch between them fluidly, while the 128GB ROM brings you large storage for all your favourite photos, videos, games and music.

While vacations are all about relaxation, it may be hard to put the HUAWEI P Smart 2021 down but at least you won’t feel too guilty about it because you will have amazing pictures and videos to reflect on when you’re back to working from home.

The HUAWEI P Smart 2021 is available on contract with this great deal at operators including Vodacom, MTN, Telkom and Cell C starting from R279 for post-paid contracts. You can also purchase it from the Huawei online store.

Cheers!!!

Would Your Mom be Proud of Your @Uber_RSA Rating? #UberESCAPE #MothersDay

Hi Friends,

With Mother’s Day fast approaching, Uber has decided to tweak the celebrations and reconsider the gifting. A mother’s best gift is her kids and what better gift to give a mum, than another reason to be proud, and yes, maybe boast a little! Uber wants all parents to be as proud of their kids, as they are of their riders.

Your Uber rating says a whole lot about you before you even meet your driver, and in this world, first impressions stick. So why not take a few simple steps to improve, boost or just simply maintain the 5-star rider that you know your worth:

Hello… Is it Uber you’re looking for?
Ensure that the pin dropped is where you need your driver-partner to pick you up. This will allow your Uber driver-partner to easily pick you up on time, because an adult game of hide-and-seek, isn’t a valid excuse for being late to a meeting.

Say my name, say my name
Next, it’s a greeting, because besides being an icebreaker, it’s the first step in creating a conversation and introducing yourself ensure that it’s the right Uber you are getting into. Don’t forget to also check the license plate number and vehicle color on your app before getting in.

All settled in and buckled up? Okay then, the journey has begun. An Uber driver-partner understands that sometimes you need to make those last minute changes to a presentation before your meeting, so rather select a playlist that you both like and the driver-partner can enjoy in silence. However, if you aren’t busy working, Uber encourages you to engage with the driver-partner. Most drivers would love a conversation that isn’t just made from song lyrics as it makes the drive feel shorter and more pleasant. To help with this, why not check out the driver-partner profile, for some fun similarities and conversation starters?
Would Your Mom be Proud of Your @Uber_RSA rating? #UberESCAPE #MothersDay
What is mine is yours
Driver-partners take great care and pride to ensure that the vehicle you are traveling in is both pristine and of quality, so they give you the best experience. So please ensure that you would treat their vehicle like you would your own. You can’t a mess and expect to be treated like an A-lister. Treat your driver’s vehicle like it’s your own. Driver-partners often use their own vehicles, so please do your best to ensure that the vehicle is in the same condition when you get out as it was when you got in.

Ready or not, here Uber comes
Time is money, and at Uber, that’s the currency we use, so please do be mindful of your driver-partners time. If you’re requesting for a group of friends, gather up your crew before requesting.

Lastly, it’s all about respect, because mama ain’t raise no disrespectful child. Before you know it, you are at your destination, and it felt like asking a friend for a favor, rather than requesting an Uber.

And there you have it, these tips should give you a 5-star rating and one your mom will certainly be proud of.

Cheers!!!

27 Days To www.TheLifesWay.com 5th Birthday Celebrations #5YearsofTheLifesWay #27Dec2017 #Dreams

Hi Friends,

#Dreams

The Life's Way is going to celebrate its 5th birthday in 27 days now and the best thing that has happened is the launch of Anytime Anywhere Magazine South Africa Print Edition on 29th November and it features 2 articles written by me. Minimalism in Digital World and Margate: A Nostalgic Journey. It's my first experience and I am looking forward to all the comments/tips and tricks of the trade. Here are the links to the online magazine.

Another story from my life belongs to the part where I always had a dream to drive an SUV for more than 2500 kilometers. It happened in India when we planned to travel to Allahabad for a friend's wedding from New Delhi on a road trip of 700 kilometers in Tata Safari. Tata Safari used to be the most sought-after vehicle in the SUV category because of its huge legroom and boot space along with a comfortable ride. As we started picking up friends in the evening, we planned a stopover after 200 kilometers for the night at her house. During that time we laughed, enjoyed and loved the journey all the way to Mathura. On reaching her house, we were served with the best food and comfortable night stay. But alas! as morning happened, I received a call from my wife that my daughter who was still 3 months old at that time was not well. She told me to come back immediately as we need to take her to doctor. I could not continue my journey any further and I had to return by roadways bus back to Gurgaon.
27 Days To www.TheLifesWay.com 5th Birthday Celebrations #5YearsofTheLifesWay #27Dec2017 #Dreams
Somewhere on the highway where you need to take a diversion to Lake District
But another chance to fulfill this dream came in London when we planned a trip to Scotland during one of the Easter holidays and we planned a road trip of more than 2500 kilometers along with 4 friends. It involved visiting several places and booking accommodation at all those locations. We booked a category B car for the trip so that it's comfortable and can carry our luggage for the whole trip. When we reach Enterprise Car to pick up the car for the next morning ride to Lake District, to our surprise the guy gave us an automatic Chevrolet Captiva LT. It was awesome and took me some time to get adjusted to the automatic gear-box. As it was my first time, it gave me a hard time to find out how to open the petrol tank? It was so funny as I went through the manuals and took some 10-15 minutes standing in front of the petrol pump.

I started driving that night at 230am and continued to drive till 1100 pm in the night covering 1200 kilometers from London to the Isle of Skye via Lake District in a single day. It was an awesome trip and I felt very happy to be fulfilling my dream to drive an SUV for more than 2500 kilometers. Thank You, Universe! We always have a lot of small and big dreams and we shall always try to fulfill them sooner or later. Also, we need to keep making new dreams all the time as that gives us Hope to carry on and work towards them!

Cheers!!!

Hotel Review - Sangiro Lodge #Bloemfontein @LodgeSangiro @Bains_Lodges #SouthAfrica

Hi Friends,

I completed my 10th year in the IT company I have been employed since 2007 after my post-graduation of Master in Business Administration. It's been a long time and I wanted to really unwind myself and SA Commuter to my rescue and asked me go and check out the Sangiro Lodge in Bloemfontein. What a lovely property this one is! I really enjoyed and loved my 3 nights stay there at this property in one of the self-catering chalets in the lovely and picturesque outskirts of the capital city of Bloemfontein, South Africa.

Sunrise at Sangiro Lodge
Sangiro Lodge is one of the properties belonging to Bains Lodges which is headquartered in Bloemfontein itself. As we reached in the afternoon, we got the keys to our chalet no. 7 and said no to the breakfast as we wanted to make our own food and enjoy some relaxed meals.

Reception and Restaurant at Sangiro Lodge
Our chalet was right in front of the long territory of animals from Zebras to antelopes to Giraffes to ostriches and peacock. There is a crocodile also right in front of the small restaurant where breakfast is also served every morning. It was like staying in the jungle but without any fear of carnivorous animals.

Chalets and other rooms
Each chalet has 2 rooms along with a kitchen, bathroom, drawing room and a balcony opening towards the braai area. Each evening and morning peacock and ostriches starts roaming around your rooms in search of food. Kitchen has enough utensils to prepare your own meals but I did miss the coffee table in the TV room as it was difficult to hold the plates in the hands. The rooms are fitted with centralized air-conditioning as it can be quiet hot during the day time. I loved watching the Wimbledon Semi-finals on the TV while enjoying the surroundings and away from hassles of the city.

View from Balcony
Every morning and evening at Sangiro Lodge, I watched the sunrise and sunsets and the view was simply stunning. Main bedroom has the whole wall made of glass sliding door and you can watch the sky and stars and the vast lands right in front of your chalet. You could see all the animals drinking water from the water body right near the N1 highway and then vanishing into the mountains behind the rooms of the lodge.

Sangiro Lodge offers multiple types of accommodations for each type of commuter and stay-cations requirements. The honeymoon rooms are lovely and best kept on one end of the lodge to stay away from any disturbances whatsoever. The one room suites are right in front of the main reception and has all the facilities to make your stay comfortable and Shell Ultra City is just a kilometer away.

While staying at the Sangiro Lodge we had the opportunity to visit Bains Lodge and various other points of interest in Bloemfontein. Botanical garden is nice and a great place to unwind. There are good markets and great shopping malls to visit in the lovely city of Bloemfontein. Windmill Casino by Sun International is one of the properties to go and visit. We had a lovely encounter with Gru and Minions during our time there and my daughter loved meeting them.

In the end, I would highly recommend this place for a night stay on your road trip to Cape Town or just there to enjoy the city of Bloemfontein. I would love to stay there every time I pass this property. Thanks to Geniene for arranging the stay there and Kudos to Bains Lodge for maintaining this property. Best Time to Book for Indian’s Travellers Favourite #Summer Destinations @SkyscannerIN #ttot

Hi Guys,

Leading global travel search engine, Skyscanner has analysed two years’ worth of travel search data from over 60 million monthly users to answer the one questions that always puzzles travellers: when is the best time to book flights?

A recent survey of Indian travellers revealed 72% do not know when is the best time to book flights. Skyscanner’s survey further unveiled 69% of travellers incorrectly estimate the best air fares can be found less than 12 weeks before departure, when in fact the best deals are snapped up by travellers who plan in advance. Traveller’s eyeing up Bali for their summer trip can save up to 51% on flight tickets by booking 25 weeks in advance or risk paying 27% more than the average fare when they leave booking to the last minute.

The same trend appears for air fares to Indian traveller’s favourite summer destinations, traveller’s looking to vacation in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok can grab flights for 35% and 33% less than the average fare, respectively, when booking 24 weeks prior to departure.

Skyscanner recommends booking 24 weeks in advance for travellers venturing to Europe or the USA for their summer vacations for savings of 22% and 18%, respectively.

Skyscanner also reveals the most inexpensive months to travel to visit some of Indian travellers’ favourite locations. November is the cheapest month to travel to Bangkok when flights 10% cheaper than the average fare, while visa-friendly Bali can be best enjoyed in April with a 10% saving on the average fare.

Commenting on the findings, Reshmi Roy, Senior Growth Manager, Skyscanner India said, “We hope Skyscanner’s data can provide travellers with clarity on how and when to get the best deal on flights and what to expect if booking is left to the last minute. After reviewing flight prices from the last two years, we can clearly see that it pays to plan. Booking at the right time can make a huge difference to one’s expenditure on their trip, up to 51% in some cases.”

Hotel Review - All Seasons Boutique Bed and Breakfast #Pretoria @Bains_Lodges #SouthAfrica

Hi Guys,

Pretoria for me was just a place to go and get the official documents submitted for one or the other VISA requirements. I came closer to the city when I took my parents around the Union Buildings and various other monuments last year in July 2016 and also then went again to the same place in search of Jacaranda trees with friends and their families. So when Geniene Preston from UKSACommuter presented this opportunity to join their family in braai at a place in Pretoria, I gladly accepted the same. It was at All Seasons Boutique Hotel and what a wonderful overnight stay we had with a lot of new people who became friends.

I always wanted to stay in a place where the balcony can give the view of the valley and this was a perfect place and this is one of the photographs I clicked from the balcony of the Private room, I was offered to stay for a day. It took me one hour to reach the place in extreme traffic on a friday evening but the view took all the traffic pain away.

I really fell in love with this Zen Garden kind of setup with so much of nature, water and light which brings a lot of positive energy to your soul. There are a lot more photographs I have posted on my instagram.com/araijain channel which you can see for this property. I have not touched on the rooms and the decor in this post but will share those photos on my instagram channels.

Do check it out on your next trip to Pretoria as this is on 741, Frhensch St, Moreletapark, Pretoria 0181 and follow them on instagram, twitter and facebook.
