Is It Time To Replace Your Phone Battery? @HuaweiZA #Smartphone #WowWay #HuaweiService

Hi Friends,

Although phone batteries have come a long way in the past few years, they are still not built to last forever. While smartphones have advanced at a rapid rate, no longer falling prey to underperformance after passing their second birthday, phone batteries can’t offer the same performance over time, simply because they are a consumable component. Like all rechargeable batteries, phone batteries hold less power, and become less effective as they age, which usually starts happening after about 18 to 24 months. Most smartphone batteries offer about 300 to 500 charging cycles.

Here are a few signs that it might be time to replace your smartphone battery:
  • Is your phone losing its charge a lot quicker than it used to? If you used to still be at 60% around midday, even after extensive use, and you’re now at 40% while chewing on your lunchtime sarmie, then it might be time to say cheers to the battery you’re using.
  • Is your phone losing about 10% of charge within 20 minutes after unplugging it from the charger? A few percentage points of battery drop are okay, but a more significant drop might be signs of a bigger problem.
  • Is your phone refusing to charge completely, no matter how long you leave it in the charger? This might mean it’s time for out with the old (battery) and in with the new.
  • Does your phone feel hotter than usual while charging? This is because a deteriorating battery generates heat. If this is happening, then it’s definitely time to get a new battery.
Is It Time To Replace Your Phone Battery? @HuaweiZA #Smartphone #WowWay

Huawei’s battery replacement offer 1 – 30 June
For Huawei smartphone users, an easy battery replacement is within their reach, with Huawei’s special battery replacement promotion from 1 to 30 June.

If your Huawei phone is out of warranty, Huawei is giving you the opportunity to replace your phone battery for just R199. If your phone is covered by Huawei’s two-year warranty, Huawei will also replace the battery – for free. Both offers include a free labor charge of R400; these days it’s crucial to get your battery replaced by the professionals, as most smartphones are not easy to open yourself.

Huawei Service Day
Huawei also offers what they call Huawei Service Day, which runs in the last week of every month from Thursday to Sunday. This includes:
  • Free Exterior Phone Cleaning
  • Free Screen Protectors
  • Free Out-of-warranty Labour Charge (you only pay for parts replacement)
  • Free Software Support
Phones models included in both these offers are:
• Y-Series - Y3 2018, Y5 PRIME 2018, Y7 2018
• P-Series - P8 lite 2017, P8 lite, P9, P10, P10 Plus, P20 Pro, P20, P20 lite

The battery replacement service and Huawei Service Day are available at all Huawei Customer Service Centres:
  • Johannesburg Shop H37G, The Piazza, Melrose Arch
  • Cape Town Shop 96, Canal Walk Shopping Centre, Century Boulevard, Century City
  • Cape Town Shop G 231, Somerset Mall, Centenary Dr, Somerset West
  • Durban Shop U91, Cornubia Dr, Mount Edgecombe Country Estate 2, Mount Edgecombe
Yesterday on 19th June, I went in with my Huawei P20 Pro and came to know that the Batteries for this particular smartphone is out of stock @ Melrose Arch and they will call me once they receive the same and it will be done in about 2-7 working days at R199. But when they saw a small crack on the corner of my smartphone screen the sales agent told me that it will be around R2500 for the whole thing as the battery is attached to the display and it will break further if they try to change the battery on this smartphone. I have brought my smartphone back home and using it will they call me with the battery inventory and then I can decide if I want to go and pay R2500 for the whole process.

Cheers!!!

The Goliath Comedy Club Expands Nationally @TheGoliathCC #TheVenue #MelroseArch

Hi Guys,

For the past five years, Goliath & Goliath have been the pioneers of all things comedy. Now the team of four plan on getting bigger and better by expanding their footprint nationally with the Goliath Comedy Club in a brand new format.

Comprising of Managing Director Kate, and comedy trio, Jason, Nicholas and Donovan Goliath, the Goliath & Goliath brand has become one of the most recognised brands in Comedy. “The mission was to be a company and brand recognised for putting comedy first. This new structure celebrates standup comedy and makes it more accessible to the industry’s growing audience,” said Jason Goliath.

“We celebrated the Goliath Comedy Club’s one year birthday a few weeks ago. The club has passed all expectations and we are about 12 months ahead of our anticipated growth,” said Jason Goliath.

He said that with their birthday celebrations behind them, the brand was looking to the future. “Our primary focus has always been comedy. We want to continue to assist comedians and make comedy more accessible to the people. With our current setup, we have found that we spend more time running a restaurant and less time focusing on stand-up comedy.” Goliath said that it was for this reason that the four partners made the decision to refocus and grow.
The Goliath Comedy Club Expands Nationally @TheGoliathCC #TheVenue #MelroseArch
The current space comprises of the Goliath Comedy Club/Roast Cafe in collaboration with Tony Raciti, owner of The Venue. The new format will see the comedy club moving into a new space and will follow two phases.

Phase one, 19 May 2017, will see the Goliath Comedy Club move to The Venue in Melrose Arch where the comedic brand will be able to focus on hardcore comedy.

The new and improved Goliath Comedy Club, hosted at The Venue in Melrose Arch will be bigger and better, having the capacity to cater for up to 400 people, instead of the current 160.

Phase two will see at least two more Goliath Comedy Clubs in Gauteng. With a view to be national within the next 24 months looking at Cape Town and Durban. “We will hopefully open the first four clubs within the next 24 months. It’s all about finding a talent pool in the surrounding areas and building an audience. We want to target high traffic, metropolitan areas.” Goliath said

Goliath & Goliath are two-time winners of the Best Friends of Comedy Award, handed down by the SA Comic Choice Awards and the company aims to further support local talent and comedy with this new venture.

“Comedians and comedy lovers can look forward to “purest” comedy platforms that are designed to give comedy the platform it deserves,” Goliath said.

@SavannaCider #JoziComdey VIP Encounter #SavannaNewBottle

Hi Guys,

It was the first time that I saw a Yellow carpet and felt so happy to see the same. People know about my obsession with Yellow as I drive a Yellow Fiat 500, have a Yellow Tomato watch and many other things.
To me yellow represents sunshine and brings in a hope to stay the best no matter what happens in your life. The event was VIP encounter at Protea Hotel - Fire and Ice! in Melrose Arch for the new bottle launch of Savanna Premium Cider. Check more about the same at @SavannaCider & check their brand new website at http://savannacider.com/welcome
The carpet brought us closer to the stand where the cold crisp Cider was served by these lovely ladies in yellow clothes. With the stage as clouds, it clearly looks like Sun shining brightly on the other sides of the podium.
This is the first look at the new enhanced bottle and it's packaging as a whole. The design change has taken place after many years as they say.
The desserts and food was amazing and I really dug into Sushi option as I wanted to go vegetarian way.
It was time to showcase the latest advertisement which will be launched to public soon but we got to see it on the first day other than senior officials.

The stage was set for #JoziComedy to start as Mpho Popps was the MC for the evening which started at around 830pm. The auditorium at the hotel was fully booked and no chairs was empty to be occupied.

Soon the stage was cleared for Vittorio Leonardi who started the night on the right note. The audience was going mad with craziness and laughter can be listened even outside the hall.

There were many acts which kept on adding fun to the whole event as a whole with artists like Kagiso Lediga, Trevor Gumbi, Mojak Lehoko, Karou Charou being at their best.

The event ended at around 12 in the night and as we were making our way out, I got the best present as a blogger from the brand. It was a brand new Beats by Dre Solo HD headphones along with bottles of Savanna, I was so elated as I got to laugh for the whole evening and at the end my heart was filled with the soulful music that beats headphones will produce in the days to come. All the photographs are taken using the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 phablet smartphone.
Thanks to @Goliath_Goliath ; @Samoka_SA ; @FireandIceMA for making this event possible and really looking forward to other events soon in Johannesburg. A big thanks to @GC_Com for finding me and making my blog a success via all their brands and endorsements!

Cheers!!!
