#TheLifesWayReviews - Selection Day - Season 1 @NetflixSA TV Series #Cricket #Drama

Hi  Friends,

Selection Day - Season 1 is a Netflix TV series which is based on Cricket Drama and features the fictional story of two brothers playing cricket and trying to make a career out of the same. The season 1 was launched in December 2018 and is based on the book of the same name by Aravind Adiga. The TV series is directed by Udayan Prasad and Rajesh Tailang plays a dictator, disciplined and sacrificing father who wants to brings the best in his children. Anil Kapoor, famous Bollywood Hero is the producer of this Netflix TV series.

The kids are played by Mohammad Samad and Yash Dholye along with Mahesh Manjrekar as their cricket coach and Ratna Pathak Shah as School principal. With a great star cast, this Netflix series is very promising and I watched all the 6 episodes in Season 1 in a single sitting. I never wanted the serial to get over but the good news is that Season 2 is releasing on 19th Apr 2019.

Manju and Radha Kumar come from a village and after winning championships get decided by their father to be moved to Mumbai where they can fight in domestic league matches. Mohan Kumar played by Rajesh Tailang is the obsessive and intelligent father who has spent his entire life on raising great athletes planning everything even before his marriage till they are today. He spends his entire time on planning what's best for his kids and stays focussed on making it big for them. He doesn't have any money and takes some strange jobs to survive in Mumbai.

As the episodes progress the kids are selected by a school coach played by Mahesh Manjrekar who has some mystery attached to him which is not revealed in the first season. Ratna Pathak Shah takes care of the school while trying to save the school land from the builders and businessman played by Akshay Oberoi looking at a property of value unlimited in the centre of the Mumbai city. Karanvir Malhotra plays the competition in terms of batting in their school team. He really tests the mental and emotional strength of the brothers as he continues to bully them in the school.

#TheLifesWayReviews - Selection Day - Season 1 @NetflixSA TV Series #Cricket #Drama
The kids face their own troubles with father and internal struggle when they want to make choices and are not allowed to. The little one doesn't want to even play cricket and wants to study science and is in talks with Lord Almighty played by Shiv Pandit. These talks with God are the most interesting portions of the show and those scenes are not to be missed. There is a certain mystery about their mom which is to be revealed at the end of season 1 but the episode ends there keeping us waiting till season 2 starts.

The TV series brings about the memories of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar movie where the fight was between school students from public and private schools. Here in this Netflix TV series, the fight is between the rich and the poor and the facilities available to progress in any of the fields be it studies or games. It's similar to the protagonists of the tv series will have to face their internal and external struggles to reach the Selection Day committee and the show shows the number of days left for the same in each episode.

Overall it's a worth watch and I am eagerly waiting for the next season and it's hardly a week left for the same. If you want to enjoy, you can wait till that time or can watch the 6 episodes this weekend and rest next week if released together by Netflix.

If you don't have Netflix membership, enroll for a month free trial and then you can take on any of the three packages as per your requirements. I am also on a trial package for 1 month and trying to watch as much as I can. Netflix gives you the option to download too on Wifi connection which you can watch on the go later or while traveling making it a great option.

Cheers!!!

Hi Guys,

After an exciting build-up, Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced on Monday afternoon, the successful eight T20 Global League team owners. In attendance at the reveal at the prestigious London hotel, The Bvlgari, was one of only two South African based team owners, Osman Osman, MD of leisure lifestyle brand, Blu Blood and now the owner of the Pretoria T20 Global League franchise.

“Going through this process, you needed to have the appetite for it. This is a huge achievement for us. With our core business being entertainment, this is the next step into the sporting sphere that we wanted to achieve excellence in. But more than being a diversification for our company brand, this is a huge opportunity for South Africa, in terms of the exposure that we are going to be getting globally from a tournament of this magnitude. The influx of tourists and highlighting the magnificence of South Africa, it is something that every South African can be proud of and benefit from,” comments Osman Osman.

The South African marquee player representing the Pretoria franchise is the legendary ODI Protea Captain, AB de Villiers.

Kailash Kher and Gaana.com Cheered Indian Cricket Team #JeetegaIndia @Gaana

Hi Guys,

India’s first Jugalbandi campaign on Twitter, caught the imagination of the entire nation. Gaana.com provided its followers an opportunity to applaud the ‘boys in blue’ along with Kailash Kher as they roped in the singing legend for a unique social media engagement. Participants cheered for Indian team with their tweets while Kailash turned those into a song live! http://bit.ly/1qmUWHW The unique activity #JeetegaIndia twitter reached 14 million viewers, trended for 8 hours and garnered over 278 million impressions.

I really loved the video number 1 and 6 with some witty lines and soulful singing of Kailash Kher. He is my favourite singer and I love all his songs and it's so great to see him in this new avatar for Team India.
Although India lost the Semi-finals, they played really well and the fans had no reason to complain. From the music composer Sulaiman Merchant to news channels like CNN-IBN, journalists and eminent anchors, everybody cheered for India through #JeetegaIndia. Some really quirky and creative lyrics were shared for the maestro to execute. One of Kailash’s song ‘Toota Toota Ek Parinda’ was turned into ‘Toota Toota Ek Wicket to Aise Toota, Ke phir Judh Na Paya’.

Kailash Kher enjoyed the gig to the hilt, and every song for him was like an anthem pumping the nation with energy and determination. This rare treat which perfectly amalgamated the thrill of an epic encounter, eulogized by one of the best voices in Bollywood made fans on social media go berserk.

In less than five hours, over 17,000 tweets with song requests reached Gaana.com, turning it into a highly successful campaign. In a first time case, a campaign forged such an intense connection between sports and music.

Melbourne - The Most Livable City in the World @Indiblogger Contest

Hi Guys,

Australia has everything which a country can offer to it's visitors as well as citizens. Melbourne is one of the major cities in this amazing country. As per the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) it's the most livable city in the world and has been in top 3 since 2002. There must be something that must be making this city Number 1 amongst various nations and top cities.
Melbourne is the major financial capital of Australia so it offers great career opportunities. The city has a huge CBD area which has all the companies flourishing day and night.
Melbourne has everything that a metropolitan city is known for. It offers great fun, food, architecture, film movies theatre and recreational activities along with amazing night life as well as some great cultural heritage. The city has really some great eating joints and coffee places which makes this place amazing to get together.
The thing I love the most in this city is the world famous Melbourne Cricket Ground which has a history of itself and can have more than 100000 spectators in it's full capacity. This coming year Cricket World Cup will have several matches scheduled to happen in this amazing ground. India vs South Africa match is scheduled to happen in this ground on 22nd Feb 2015. The Final of 2015 Cricket World Cup will also happen in this amazing and great cricket ground. Who knows that India might again pick the trophy this year!!!
It's always great to go for a drive on the road touching the sea and Great Ocean Road gives you what Garden Route offers in South Africa. It is for those times when you feel really sad and wants to see sunset or sunrise as the drive always brings in a lot of hope. The time spent near the sea is always remembered by everyone. It gives you a calm and meditation effect.
The city has numerous beaches for your morning and evening walks as well as for some romantic getaways. It's always great to sit on the sands and watch waves touch your feet while sun takes it's route. It's always a great time in this amazing city. I wish to see myself in the city soon and enjoy whatever best this Victorian city of Melbourne has to offer.

Check out some of the amazing video's of this city enjoyed by Tanmay and Rohan -
