Logitech Rally Bar Huddle and Sight AI camera Brings Equitable Meeting Experiences @Logitech

Hi Guys,

Logitech Rally Bar Huddle and Sight AI camera brings equitable meeting experiences to small rooms and makes hybrid work meetings more equitable for remote participants.

This week, South Africa got a taste of the future of equitable meetings with the launch of the Logitech Rally Bar Huddle and Sight AI camera. As the newest additions to Logitech’s family of conference cameras, the Logitech Rally Bar Huddle and Sight AI are designed to deliver equitable video conferencing meetings with ease.

Huddling up:

As companies redesign their office spaces to create more collaborative spaces for their hybrid workforce, huddle rooms have become more popular. According to research firm Futuresource, 68% of companies plan to invest in AV technology for small meeting rooms and huddle spaces.

“Huddle rooms are popping up faster than companies can video-enable them,” said Charis Nicholas, Head of High Touch and End User Video Collaboration in Southern Africa. “We designed the Rally Bar Huddle from the ground up to have the optimal AI functionality for modern equitable meetings while coming in at a price point that is affordable for any and every single huddle room out there."

Designed with built-in AI video intelligence, 4K image quality, and AI-based noise suppression, the Rally Bar Huddle is the gold standard for organisations looking to enable equitable meetings. Adhering to the highest sustainability standards, the plastic parts in Rally Bar Huddle include a minimum of 42% certified post-consumer recycled plastic. It is also quick to set up, simple to manage, and comfortably integrates with Tap IP through CollabOS.

The Rally Bar Huddle is specifically designed for rooms of up to six people to ensure every participant is seen and heard in 4K clarity. Using built-in AI video intelligence, meeting hosts can welcome remote participants to the conversation without compromising engagement. The newly improved ported audio system gives Rally Bar Huddle twice the audio quality of the Logitech MeetUp. It is partnered by an advanced sound pickup via six beamforming mics and AI-based noise suppression that creates a natural meeting experience for remote employees.

A Sight to behold:

Logitech Sight is an AI-powered tabletop camera that works with the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini to intelligently capture the best perspective of meeting participants and track their conversations as they move around the conference room. Currently, more than 43% of remote employees report not feeling included. The Logitech Sight helps solve this by giving remote workers an “at the table” experience when meeting with in-office colleagues.

Logitech Sight AI camera makes hybrid work meetings more equitable for remote participants. By extending audio and video into larger rooms, using the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini camera at the front of the room, Sight AI gives participants access to a range of alternate perspectives.

“We’re no longer all at home in equal-sized video boxes like we were during the height of the pandemic. In a hybrid work world, a mix of in-office and remote workers increases the challenge of delivering equitable experiences to everyone, “said Charis Nicholas.

With dual 4K cameras and seven beamforming microphones, Sight captures conversations and nonverbals as they naturally happen. This, in turn, enhances employee participation and engagement by helping remote attendees feel as if they’re in the room. Coming later after launch, Sight will enable RightSight with Smart Switching, adaptive intelligence that selects the best view between the tabletop camera and front-of-room camera, intuitively switching between views of in-person interactions and tracking conversations naturally.

By integrating with leading video conferencing platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet, Sight makes it easy to use hybrid-friendly meeting layout features like Zoom Smart Gallery and Microsoft Teams dynamic view. Compatibility with popular platforms also assures IT teams that their smart room technology will continue to meet the evolving needs of their hybrid workforce.

New Year Resolutions - Week 28 Achievements & Failures in 2023 #TheLifesWay

Hi Guys,

Week 28 was something for which we had to wait for 12 years as it was a snowfall day in Johannesburg, South Africa. The social media was full of Joburg Snow videos, reels, shorts and images.

1. Snowfall - Last I saw snowfall was in London in 2011 and I was also told that in 2012 it happened in Johannesburg last. But this year on 10-Jul-2023, we saw the snowfall live in Johannesburg, South Africa again. It was a fun-filled day for everyone who took selfies and videos in the sea of white snow. The weather took a drastic turn in the last few days as it was super cold this weekend.

2. Entertainment - I did watch the third part of Carry On Jatta 3 and it was hilarious. Gippy and the team did make a wonderful film once again in the series. This time the whole setting was in London and Sonam Bajwa was introduced as the main lead actress. I also watched Zara Hatke Zara Bachke starting Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan and totally fell in love with the Tere Vaaste song and the dance steps. I totally fell in love with both movies.

I also watched The Test Case web series starring Nimrat Kaur, Atul Kulkarni, Anup Soni, and Juhi Chawla which was now available on YouTube. I wanted to watch the same for so long but didn't have access to the streaming platform it was launched on. It's a one-time watch.

3. Launch Event - I was invited to the Logitech Silent Mouse South Africa launch event which was really an amazing experience as we got to play and exercise with Bungee Workout. They also gave me the best goodies bag ever and I totally loved the new mouse and keyboard set which doesn't produce any sound when you type as well. I also went to Mandela Day with Southern Sun and got a volunteer t-shirt from them. Many thanks for calling me to the filling of food in the fight against hunger campaign for around 67 minutes.

4. Car Service - I made the biggest mistake of my life by taking my car to the Car Service City in Benmore. Neither they are good nor they are cheap. The level of service is also not great as compared to getting to the Honda Showroom and Service Centre on William Nicole. I will never recommend anyone going to any of the Car Service City as my another friends also told me later that he was not satisfied with their service. I was going to Honda but then returned and gave my car to these guys. My biggest mistake for sure.

5. YouTube Shorts - I am not a regular on the platform but trying hard this month. Since the month of May when I was posting 5 videos per day this month, I am going to do around 1-3 per day. Let's see how much benefit it will bring. I am sure this month I will reach the threshold of USD 100 to get paid in the next month for sure. Let's keep working on the videos.

I am not getting time to create a lot of long-form videos but I have to find time to do so on a daily basis. I need to do it and I will find some motivation to do so and work on all the ideas I have for the long-form videos which are nowhere on the YouTube platform. Keep watching as your views are my only blessings!

The Life's Way Desk Setup With All Accessories in 2021 @TheLifesWay #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends,

I have been using a desk since the last June 2020 when I shifted to rental accommodation and since then I have tried to make the best use of my small desk as compared to what I was using earlier for the past 3 years in my old house. I was putting my Acer monitor on the top of a circular gift pack to raise its height to suit my neck ergonomically as well as various other JUGAAD technology on the go.

Since the last year when I shifted to this home a lot of accessories have been brought into the play on this small desk setup. In this blog post, we will go one by one through the items I am using on my desk.

1. Deskstand Wavy Sit-Stand Laptop Bed Stand - https://www.thelifesway.com/2020/05/thelifeswayreviews-thedeskstand-wavy.html - It's a really nice laptop stand I bought last year but soon it got broke and the company sent me another one for free during the lockdown. You should definitely try out their products. I bought the one for R395 on 25th Sep 2018 during one of their month-end sales.

2. BOSE Companion  II Multimedia Speaker System - I bought them in clearance sale from Incredible Connection long back (7 July 2014) for around R600 only. Since then I have been using them on a daily basis, and only now there is a hissing sound when not being played or connected to a source and even after connected to the sound is prominent. Otherwise, the audio quality of Bose speakers knows no introduction and I totally love these.

3. Asus VivoBook S15 Laptop - Asus VivoBook has been my laptop of choice since my Dell XPS L501 laptop became too slow for my liking and then I shifted to this Intel Core i5 8th Gen powered laptop with NVIDIA GEFORCE. I also upgraded the same to 1TB of SSD (for around R3188 on 23 July 2019) as compared to 1TB of Hard disk drive it had and since then the laptop switched on and off in no time.

4. Acer KA220HQbid Black 21.5'' LED Monitor - I bought an external display for having bigger size screen and this was my first LED monitor which was on sale on Acer Online store for R1300 and I was given R500 discount coupon by Acer South Africa to buy anything from their store so it costed me R800. I bought the same on 31st August 2017 and since then it has been my monitor of choice and during the last years work from home it has been my main display.

5. Leroy Merlin DESK LAMP WITH CLIP E14 1X25W METAL + PL - I bought the last piece available on display (priced at R149) from the Edenvale store and the manager offered me a discount as I got it for R100 only. As this was the last piece and I wanted it badly, so I didn't check the quality of the clip which I feel has a missing rubber. Overall, it has a long cable so can reach all the sides of your study table and can even be clipped to your bed as a nightshade. I want to install a Wifi enable colour LED into the same so as to enjoy various colours of lights on the go. I have stopped searching for any other table lamp since this has come into my life in the month of September 2021. Thanks, Leroy Merlin for the great products and discounts from time to time. Your service is excellent.

6. REDRAGON DRACONIC K530RGB Bluetooth Mechanical Keyboard - This one I also reviewed some days back on my blog post where you can get all the information regarding this awesome keyboard. I need to have an RGB mousepad and another RGB mouse for my setup to be complete.

7. Logitech M720 Wireless Triathlon Mouse - I got this Logitech mouse in May 2017 and since then it has been in my hands and never given me any kind of problems so far. I really love the design of this mouse and the feature that it can be connected to three different gadgets using the small Logitech dongle. Now I want to change to a wireless RGB mouse for my desk setup.

8. Free Dell Alienware Mousepads - I got these mousepads during one of the RageExpo some years back as a part of their expo campaign. Since that time I am using the same and now wants to switch to RGB mousepads for my desk setup.

9. Pens and Stationery - Most of my pens and stationery are free goodies from various events but Pens from Parker, Xiaomi and Pilot are bought by me specifically as I love writing with Parker Fountain Pens (I have Vector and IM series). I specifically love the design of Lamy pens but so far I have not had them. I love fine tips or anything which is lower than 0.5mm in nib size. In Pilot pens, I love the C4 which has around 0.38 mm nib tip in gel pen style which is priced around R60 per piece. I keep them all in the Dell Pen Stand or the Typo Buffalo pen holder.

10. Notepads/Journals - I am still using the Huawei notepads got from one of their launch events and that has been my daily gratitude journal of 5 things to be grateful for. The other notebooks I have are from the movie Godzilla as a goodies bag which is my BuJo (Bullet Journals) and contains all the important information about myself and my days since the past year or so. I soon want to move to the expensive journals from Exclusive books or from Typo.

11. Maxnomic ESL Pro 2.0 Gaming Chair - This was a dream come true gaming chair that I got in October 2017 and since then my posture has improved and never I have faced any kind of back pain or neck pain. A gaming chair of this quality really helps you ergonomically. I enjoy sitting on this chair and since the lockdown last year the PU leather has started to crack as the time spent on the chair increased a lot. I can change it to a leather cover for the chair which will cost me around R1000 to change but I thought I will get it done once the whole piece is gone or not worthy of sitting anymore.

12. Orico Power Adapter - This is one of the simple gadgets to plug in all my devices as well as offering 2 USB charging points. I bought this one for around R150 from one of the shops in 2016 or so and since then has been my favourite charging station. Now I am finding it difficult to insert 2-pin plugs as the adapter is showing resistance. It takes a little bit of power and shakes to insert the power adapters to charge my smartphones. There is no such problem faced with the South African power adapters.

13. Xiaomi Mi Wi-Fi Range Extender Pro - This is one of the cheapest wifi repeaters available in the market and I bought this from the mia.africa.com website in one of their online Chinese New Year sales in the month of Feb 2021 for R150. I bought another one for R100 only during their June 2021 sale.

Other than that there are many things which I have received from the launch events and goodies from the expo which I use for some time before being replaced by the new ones. Also, I keep visiting typo and other shops in search of deals that can make my desk set up a little bit cooler and organized. I am also a productivity fan and follower and always tries to save time. I am one of the lazy persons Bill Gates talks about in his famous quote.

@Logitech Brings New MX Mice and Flow - Takes Multi-Computer Functionality to the Next Level

Hi Guys,

Logitech announced Logitech Flow, a groundbreaking new software that allows you to seamlessly control up to three computers with one mouse. The software is compatible with Logitech's next-generation flagship mice, the Logitech® MX Master 2S and the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S, designed for those who need advanced multi-device connectivity and precise sensor accuracy in a stunning design.

"One computer used to be enough, but we’ve moved into an era where roughly one in 10 people are working across multiple computers at the same time,” said Anatoliy Polyanker, global portfolio and brand director at Logitech. “Using multiple computers can help you avoid distractions and speed up processor-intensive operations, but working across multiple computers can be a hassle. That’s where Logitech Flow comes in. With Flow and a new MX mouse, you can enhance your productivity — for instance, copying and pasting files from one computer to another — helping you become more precise and focused in the multi-computer world.”

The latest mice are part of the Logitech MX lineage, which included the Logitech MX Master Wireless Mouse and the Logitech MX Anywhere 2 Wireless Mobile Mouse. The next-gen MX mice pack even more functionality, including compatibility with Logitech Flow.

Logitech MX Master 2S

Logitech Flow
With Logitech Flow, available as a free download as part of Logitech® OptionsTM software, you can take multi-computer use to a new level. With the new MX mice, you can seamlessly control up to three computers with one mouse, and even copy and paste content, images and documents between the three computers. Logitech Flow is easy to set up, and has a simple user interface.

Logitech MX Master 2S and the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S
The Logitech MX Master 2S and the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S feature an improved DarkfieldTM High Precision tracking, which boosts the mice cursor speed, accuracy and increases the resolution to 4,000 DPI so you can have the most versatile mouse at all times, no matter what screen you are using.

The mice also track on any surface – even glass – so you get flawless control and have an improved battery life, with a rechargeable battery that lasts for up to 70 days on a full charge, depending on usage. And when you do need to recharge, it’s fast and easy.

Logitech MX Anywhere 2S

The Logitech MX Master 2S has a speed adaptive scroll wheel that auto-shifts from click-to-click to hyper-fast scroll, so you can scroll through long documents or Web pages with ease. Plus, you get side-to-side scrolling with a thumb wheel, and can customize additional functions with Logitech Options. The Logitech MX Anywhere 2S has a precision wheel, which lets you switch between click-to-click to hyper-fast scrolling.

Both mice are crafted to fit your hand. The Logitech MX Master 2S supports your hand and wrist in a comfortable and natural position, while the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S provides comfort and control anywhere you need – at home, at work or on the go.

4 Years of www.TheLifesWay.com #TheLifesWay #Birthday #Blogpost

Hi Guys,

2016 have been great for my blog - reached out to new brands and some of the brands said Good bye too! Change is the only constant thing in this world and I came up with terms that sometimes your passion will take a hit for the earning of bread and butter.

Year 2016 being the 4th year of #TheLifesWay brought 518917 pageviews in 12 months from 396 blogposts and for the first time ever it crossed One Million pageviews on the eve of my birthday 22nd July. This was a proud moment as it happened on my birthday and was the biggest gift of the season. To celebrate this occasion I bought myself a Samsung Gear S2 smart watch from Incredible Connection in it's Cyber Monday sale.

The most important thing along with this one was the moment when I won a smartphone Samsung A5 (2016) model from a movie premier show for Trolls (movie) by Fanta South Africa. I always wanted to win one but all these years I could never so this was a great feeling and I gifted the same to my mom in India. Sponsored posts wise this year didn't brought that much money/vouchers like 2015 but this year's Indiblogger PR posts helped me buy a Nikon DX 35mm lens for my Nikon DSLR camera which I always wanted to purchase.

2016 brought the biggest travel in a Cruise from Durban to Mozambique and Portugese Island in MSC Sinfonia sponsored by Flight Centre and Cruise About. It was a great time spent on the ship and I really enjoyed all the activities there. I did felt sea sick first night but took a medicine and was sorted for rest of the trip. Also, this was my first trip to Durban and really loved seeing the old local Indian populated town. The second trip was my first time to Kruger National Park which was sponsored by Protea Hotels at Paul Kruger Gate. I really loved watching the animals but eyes were too tired to keep up on the searching all day in sun and sand.

Braham Sarovar, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India

I was part of most of the events at Silverstar Casino and did several posts for them and posted a lot of pictures too on my instagram page. I was lucky enough to win in one of their media events and stayed again at the Vega Presedential Suite. Also for the first time in 2016, I attended an event by Logitech and got my own #TheLifesWay printed UE Roll 2 bluetooth speakers. Huawei remained a prime sponsor in my life for inviting me to all their launch events and goodies bags they give are amazing. Year 2016, I received Hugo Boss Sunglasses for P9 launch and Huawei Band for Mate 8 Launch event. Though I still feel sad that they have not sponsored me their smartphone despite my instagram page filled with Huawei hashtags and also I have not seen the likes of P9 and other recent smartphones for review also.

I also got Go Budds bluetooth earphones by DJ Fresh which are really amazing and a surprise package of SunStream's Portable Mobile Charger using Solar technology. This really made my car in India charge my mobile as it didn't had that 12V charger in it. Checkout this product in Builder's Warehouse starting from ZAR 250 onwards.  I was part of several new launch events and shared the same across my channels. There had been so many small small items that I received from brands which I regularly distributed to my friends and family. I am so grateful to Universe for each one of them. It's just because of my blog www.thelifesway.com I am able to get them.

In the year 2017, I surely would love to get sponsorship in terms of a smartphone, tablet and laptop as my Dell XPS L501 was bought way back in 2010-11 from London and tablet Google Nexus 7 my parents bought from San Francisco in 2012 and smartphone is HTC One M8 which was gifted by HTC South Africa (old review device) in 2015. They have helped me shape my blog and twitter handles but it's time to say Good Bye to these devices too! Are you listening Universe?

Also, this year I plan to increase my Instagram followers and post more snaps every month to the amount of 5 each day on average. I also plan to venture into Youtube this year as I am trying to make video's on my DSLR camera and started learning the same too using Youtube channel of Nikon India. I have also missed my writings on several of the series I used to publish in 2016 but will revive all of them in 2017. Also, I intend to post all the pending reviews of all the electronics items I have bought and used for some time. I also missed all the time I could devote in 2015 on my blog as professionally my role in my job now demands a lot of office work to be done at home too. So I hope to bring in more efficiency in my work to get some hours of open time for taking my blog and social media channels to next level.

Let's see how to fulfill all these aspirations in Year 2017 but thanks once again to all the brands and PR companies for investing their time and money in me. I am eternally grateful to all the PR companies who left me in 2016 and to all of those which embraced me further. I will always work towards giving everyone fair returns on their ROI but won't work for their brands if I am not getting anything in return.

Cheers!!!

@Logitech Transforms #Presentations With #Spotlight: Highlight, Magnify and More

Hi Guys,

Logitech announced a complete reinvention of presentation control with the Logitech® Spotlight™ Presentation Remote. Unlike the traditional slide clicker or laser pointer of the past, Spotlight is designed to help you become a more confident presenter. Spotlight is an advanced tool that goes well beyond laser pointing, and enables you to highlight and magnify on-screen content in an engaging and powerful way so you can better underscore your point.

According to research conducted by Ipsos Marketing on behalf of Logitech in 2016 with more than 6,000 people in UK, Germany and France, 65% of Brits say presentation skills are extremely or very important to their job or studies, and with 26% presenting at least once a month, the “art of presenting” is more relevant than ever.

“Presentations are nerve-wracking,” said Marcel Stolk, senior vice president of Creativity and Productivity business group at Logitech. “For most, the main stumbling block is a lack of confidence – we just get nervous. Spotlight is easier to use and, most importantly, gives you new ways to engage your audience versus a laser pointer.”

Spotlight is a new standard in presentation control. It allows you to effortlessly navigate slides and interact with on-screen content from up to 100 feet away. With the advanced pointer system you can highlight and magnify points on your slide in pixel-perfect detail, so the audience stays engaged throughout your talk. Spotlight also has mouse-like cursor control to play videos and open links, and unlike a laser, the cursor and highlights are visible to both a live audience and those on a video conference.

Spotlight pairs with a powerful app so you can set the stage even before your presentation begins. In the app you can toggle pointer mode, set timed vibration alerts or activate more advanced functions like volume control with hand gestures. What’s more, the app will be updated with additional features over time, so you’ll always have access to the latest in presentation functionality with Spotlight.

“We know how important reliable technology is for helping speakers feel confident on stage,” said Lisa Choi Owens, head of global partnerships at TED. “Using technologies like Logitech Spotlight allows our speakers to focus on their talks, and deliver ideas worth spreading.”

Logitech Spotlight also connects instantly via USB receiver or Bluetooth® Smart technology. It is plug-and-play on most devices and compatible with all popular presentation apps. Plus, it features smart recharging – one minute of charge gives three hours of use – so you will never be caught off guard.

Logitech and TED plan to launch a worldwide search for aspiring communicators who will be invited to participate in an exclusive Spotlight Presentation Academy at the TED Theater in New York. Armed with a Spotlight presentation remote, attendees will have the opportunity to work with industry experts to enhance their presentation skills. Through this program, the two companies aim to inspire and support communities of presenters and idea-sharers worldwide. More details regarding the search will be announced in the coming weeks.

Logitech Spotlight Presentation Remote is available mid-April from Logitech and Apple. For more information about the product’s features and functionality, please visit Logitech.com.

Cheers!!!

New @LogitechG Pro Mechanical Gaming #Keyboard Designed With Top #eSports Players

Hi Guys,

Logitech G, a Logitech brand, introduced the global launch of the Logitech® G Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. Designed in collaboration with top eSports athletes, the Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is a high performance, tenkeyless mechanical gaming keyboard that is purpose-built for professional competition. The keyboard features Logitech’s exclusive Romer-G™ mechanical switches, offering 25 percent faster actuation than standard mechanical keyboards, all in a switch design that delivers quiet performance. It also features a detachable cable system, making it easy to transport with customisable RGB lighting and on-board memory.

“eSports athletes are extremely picky and demanding, and we love it," said Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of Logitech G. "We give them access to our prototype designs early and often, and let them rip 'em apart. The result is the Pro Gaming Keyboard with ultra-fast switches, durable construction, and a tenkeyless design that's easy to transport. If you play to win, this is your keyboard.”

"This is a great keyboard because it's small, durable, and tenkeyless. This allows me to have more space on my table," said renowned international gamer C9’s Jake “Stewie2K” Yip. “The Romer-G switches are nice and quiet, and they're super comfortable to type on.”

Romer-G Key Switches
Logitech’s exclusive Romer-G mechanical switches are purpose-built for pro-grade performance, responsiveness and durability offering precision and speed. With a short-throw actuation point of 1.5 mm, Romer-G switches register key presses up to 25 percent faster than standard mechanical switches and are designed for performance.

Compact, Durable Design
The Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard features a compact tenkeyless design, making it easy to pack for tournament travel and freeing up table space for low-sensitivity mouse movement. The keyboard is reinforced with a steel back plate, adding stability and rigidity for gameplay.

Detachable Cable System
A detachable Micro-USB connector ensures that the cable won’t break at the connection point when bouncing around in a bag and transported between events. The three-pronged design features support arms for an easy, reliable data connection.

Customisable RGB Lighting
Using optional Logitech Gaming Software (LGS), players can select and personalise each individual key light from more than 16.8 million colours, and save a lighting pattern to onboard memory so it’s available for use in competition.

Pricing and Availability
The Logitech G Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is expected to be available at global retailers beginning in March 2017 for a suggested retail price of R3499.00. For more information please visit website, blog or connect with them on Facebook. Local South African release will be announced later in 2017. Find Logitech G at www.gaming.logitech.com, the company blog or @LogitechG.
