12 Practical Gifts for Students in 2020 @JetGiftBaskets

Hi Friends,

You are your own unique person with distinct likes and preferences. Your friends are, too. And we can name a few in-vogue gifts based on current social media trends, and they could probably make you happy for a while.

But practical gifts for students especially during this time all line up in a particular category – useful and stress-relieving.

Even adults can benefit from this list, but it’s curated for the 2020 student in mind - digital learners keeping up with the new-normal curriculum.

So, if you want to gift a student in your life practical yet thoughtful tools to help them with studying and school, this is the crib sheet they’ll thank you for.

1. Spa Gift Basket
You might ask how a spa gift basket fits this category. But as mentioned earlier, this collection of gifts is not just related to studying but also to the polar opposite which is taking it easy or resting.
12 Practical Gifts for Students in 2020 @JetGiftBaskets
Because it’s in rest where students can let their minds breathe and gather brand new energy to resume studying.

2. Sleep & Wake-Up Light Therapy Lamp
The sound of artificial alarms holds the impression of aversion especially in the early morning when we’re deprived of sweet sleep.

A light therapy lamp and the sunrise alarm clock will let you smoothly fall asleep with its breathe-function and be woken by natural light which is scientifically proven to improve sleep and wellbeing.

3. AirPods
Most students may already have this, but if your recipient doesn’t have the newer generation yet or have lost them, then this is an apt gift for studying.

Airpods are not only trendy; they’re functional and light to use as well.

4. Tea Maker
Tea is a much healthier option than coffee and will still give them the necessary caffeine they’re craving.

It brews tea quickly, so they don’t have to spend time waiting and be able to enjoy a clean booster for study.

5. UV Smartphone Sanitizer
It’s a perfect gadget for keeping their phone clean. Although we use our phones for entertainment purposes, most students also use it to keep their school life organized.

A phone sanitizer can kill 99.99% of bacteria, plus it’s handy and timely.

6. Blue Light–Blocking Glasses
Being in front of the screen for long hours can leave their eyes dry and tired. These glasses filter out short-wavelength blue light emitted by screens.

It reduces digital eye strain and is also light and comfortable to wear.

7. Desk Organizer Set
The initial step in getting homework done on time is to make sure their desk is organized. A neat space declutters the mind and lets it hyper-focus on the tasks. Gift this to those who are into organizing – or lack thereof.

8. Porter To-Go Bowl
It’s best to eat with the family at the dinner table. But when you’re cramming for exams, it’s nice to have a delicious bowl of food by your side. They can use this for future travel as well.

9. Sleep Mask
A full night’s rest sets the tone for a productive day in school. It can be challenging to have 8 hours of sleep during exam week but there are tools that can help you achieve it.

Memory foam sleep masks are uniquely shaped to allow free eye movement and completely block out ambient light so students can also get naps in during the day.

10. Blanket Sweatshirt
They’re cozy and comfy, perfect for late-night studying. This also evokes a sense of home and safety for those away from their family. It’s a dorm must-have and also a rest essential wherever your recipient may be.

11. Fitness Activity Tracker
Now, a big part of students’ academic success is their healthy mentality. And part of a healthy mind is staying physically active especially during this time.

Gift something that will give them a deeper connection with their body and empower them to stay on top of their game.

12. The SELF Journal and Planner
This journal is perfect for organizers and high achievers as it encourages productivity. But unlike any other journal, it has a daily progress tracker, gratitude acknowledgement, and motivational quotes. A planner like this will help your giftee cultivate happiness while crushing their goals.

And like all the other gifts above, this will help them maintain the balance between work and play or study and rest. Because it’s important to know when they should keep striving or pause to breathe.

Thankfully, students in this radical time are more conscious than ever, and probably know how these gifts are more like a treat, not just for school, but for their wellbeing.

Pamper with more than one gift - from creative to luxurious gifts - at Jet Gift Baskets. You may also visit their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages if you want to know more. Happy shopping!

Cheers!!!

#TheLifesWayReviews - RAAT AKELI HAI @NetflixSA #Movie #Crime #RaatAkeliHai

Hi Friends,

Raat Akeli Hai is the new crime drama movie which was released on Netflix on 31st July 2020 and is directed by Honey Trehan. The movie stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte and Ila Arun in a powerful performance which also has Shweta Tripathi, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Shivani Raghuvanshi, Swanand Kirkire, Nishant Dahiya and Aditya Srivastava.

The movie is a murder mystery of Raghuveer Singh played by Khalid Tyabji on the night of his second marriage to Radhika Apte. The whole family and relatives go quiet about the murder and bring in a small town cop Inspector Jatil Yadav to solve the case played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. As the investigation progresses, he comes to know that he has already met Radha played by Radhika Apte as she tries to run away from her parents some 5 years ago. Around the same time, Raghuveer Singh's wife and the driver are also killed by a mercenary.

The crime drams is really fast-paced and slowly unpacks the mystery behind the murder and the other selfish motives of all the characters one by one. Jatil Yadav falls in love with Radha as he is a bachelor whose mother played by Ila Arun always tries to find a suitable bride for him wherever she goes. The scenes between Ila Arun and Nawazuddin are really funny and the dialogues are really good.
#TheLifesWayReviews - RAAT AKELI HAI @NetflixSA #Movie #Crime #RaatAkeliHai
The crime-solving capability and character of Jatil Yadav are tested as the whole system is against him and doesn't want him to solve the case as the family is against the outsider Radha who gets the share in the property due to her marriage with Raghuveer Singh. They want to put the blame on her and looking for an opportunity to throw her out of the house and may kill her on the way. The locations look really real as the movie is shot in Lucknow and Kanpur.

The film never felt like it's limited budget release or digital platform release but made on the scale of a full feature film and rises way above the other feature film releases too in recent times. The acting of Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is amazingly great and the tension building between them is great to watch. Raat Akeli Hai has a rugged and rustic look to the whole drama and it feels really real and believable.

The movie is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Abhishek Chaubey and written by Smita Singh and is available on Netflix to watch if you have not seen yet. This movie is 1000 times better than the last released movie of Nawazuddin named Ghoomketu on the ZEE5 digital platform. If you are a fan of Nawazuddin you should not miss this Singham style fun without beating anyone, killing anyone or any other un-necessary macho action. RATING 4/5

Time To Learn Smartwatch #FisherPriceSmartWatch @FisherPrice @Mattel

Hi Friends,

Fisher-Price makes some of the best toys for babies, toddlers and kids. I recently received one of the smartwatches for my younger son who is aged 30 months old.
#TheLifesWayReviews @FisherPrice Time To Learn Smartwatch #FisherPriceSmartWatch @Mattel
This is from the Laugh and Learn Series which really are made to teach kids colours and greetings and comes in the form of Smartwatch with blinking lights and various buttons which can be toggled and a dial which can be rotated to help develop the motor skills of small kids.
#TheLifesWayReviews @FisherPrice Time To Learn Smartwatch #FisherPriceSmartWatch @Mattel
Time to Learn Smartwatch is suitable for kids of age range from 6 months to 3 years and made to bring playtime to kids all the time. There are 2 buttons to press, a dial to spin, clackers to shake and a soft band to grip. This oversized watch is styled for big fun for kids of all age groups until 3 years. One of the buttons plays the music and there are about 6 songs which play in successions along with blinking disco lights in different colours which really makes it great.
#TheLifesWayReviews @FisherPrice Time To Learn Smartwatch #FisherPriceSmartWatch @Mattel
The other button is for greetings which when presses gives about 11 different messages from colours to numbers (1-2-3) too. The smartwatch works on 3 small button cell (AG12/LR44) batteries which come pre-installed in the package so that your kid is ready to enjoy the same. It is also good for travel as it keeps the hands of kids busy with the clicker and the toggle switch which doesn't perform any action in terms of electronics functions etc.
#TheLifesWayReviews @FisherPrice Time To Learn Smartwatch #FisherPriceSmartWatch @Mattel
Thanks to Fisher-Price and Mattel for sending the same for my son and this is priced at around USD 9.99 and can be found in any of the local stores for kids toys. The best part about fisher-price is that the quality of their plastic is really good and safe for kids. The colours on the strap are also catchy and kids will pick it up as they are gets easily attracted to the blinking lights and music.

#TheLifesWayReviews SHAKUNTALA DEVI @PrimeVideoIN #Biography #Drama #Movie

Hi Friends,

It's happening now as some of the good movies are getting launched on the digital platforms and you can watch them from the leisure of your homes with whatever you want to drink and eat along with the same. Amazon Prime Video launched one on the life of Shakuntala Devi also known as the human-computer played by Vidya Balan on 31st July 2020. The movie is written and directed by Anu Menon and produced by Sony Pictures Networks India and Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment. Vidya Balan has come on the silver screen after Mission Mangal was released in 2019.

Vidya Balan has showcased the life of Shakuntala Devi who was a world-renowned mathematician who could do a lot of mental calculations using Vedic Maths without any school education. Her life's journey from a young girl to a young woman and then falling in love and getting married and becoming a mother and putting her career on hold. Again starting from scratch and the life of the daughter Anupama played by Sanya Malhotra of Dangal fame as a touring kid and teenager along with her mother tells the story of frustrations and sacrifices one has to make when you are famous, mighty and rich.
#TheLifesWayReviews SHAKUNTALA DEVI @PrimeVideoIN #Biography #Drama #Movie
Jisshu Sengupta plays the husband of Shakuntala Devi as Paritosh Banerji and looks handsome in all his scenes and acted very well and looks charming too. Amit Sadh too plays Anupama's husband Ajay Abhaya Kumar and a small-time is spent on the love story between the two. The movie is really good to watch with the whole family as it gives an insight into the life of Shakuntala Devi whose puzzle books were very popular when I was doing my engineering and later she also started working on astrology and cooking books.

The movie is 127 minutes long and is available on Amazon Prime Video and some of the songs are really peppy as the music director is Sachin-Jigar and the background score is provided by Karan Kulkarni. Biographical films are really close to my heart and I always try to watch if I am unable to read their biography in books or so. Vidya has lived the life of Shakuntala Devi and she has brought the same magic again as she was in Parineeta and various other movies.

It's a story about an ambitious woman who dares to reach the pinnacle of mathematics where women were not given the same level of respect. Then she struggles to leave her love of maths to fall in love and become a mother and once mother tries to direct her daughter as per her wishes or what she thinks will be good for her. She always finds a solution to any problem using her charm and courage and maths. The movie is a must-watch if you are Vidya Balan's fan or if you are a fan of Shakuntala Devi books. RATING 4/5

Cheers!!!
