Hi Friends, 

Global Village is something which can't be completed in 2-3 posts so the series will continue for some time and I bring to you Asia special in this post where I have tried to showcase some of the countries from the East of the world. 

China is one of the biggest countries and runs itself like a warrior and is not afraid of any other country. Chinese manufactured products are sold worldwide and you will have one in your hands too. I have plenty of stuff that's from there because the value it brings to the table is immense. 

Japan is another country that is really a world leader in terms of electronics and stationery items for school kids and offices alike. This is one place I would really want to go and check out in person as I really want to see Mt. Fuji, Tokyo and Osaka and other cities. 

Thailand needs no introduction and the most air traffic from India will be from any Indian city to Bangkok and adjoining islands. From temples, monks, street food, beaches, nightlife to shopping the city offers everything. 

Vietnam if not famous for anything else Rambo in his movies made it known globally as American movies are focussed around defeating the soldiers from the war times. If you see western media will showcase all action movies will have something related to the Vietnam War which is now more focussed towards the middle east. The Philippines is known for its beaches and great fruits and is worth a visit. 

Japan is one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world. I am a big fan of this country and in my lifetime I would want to visit the same.  

India is always known for its street food called Chaat in the Hindi language. My life revolves around Chaat as I am a big fan of this kind of food. In my day to day living, I make any veggies, any snack into some kind of Chaat with my special masalas that I carry in my car every day which means even blended pizza and pasta. 

In the end, Global Village will bring back memories from wherever you are in the world and there will be something new to learn or to revisit what you love about a particular country. Go check it out and carry some cash too as many shops don't do digital payments!

Hi Friends,

In continuation of the journey to Global Village in Dubai, here are some of the captures from the photo series. I hope that you guys are liking these series of posts and more will continue to feature in the days to come. This is what keeps me busy during these times when everything around us is going not as per our desires. 

The grand entrance has tickets counters on both sides and there is a drop off zone just next opposite to the counters. If you are coming from parking, please take care as people don't drive properly as they might be excited to see something unique or in their own minds, though volunteers are there to control the traffic. 

Bahrain-Kuwait has this unique grill based design which really looks great with all its lights. I wish I could have spent more time at this venue to see and capture each stall from inside too.

Yemen has this beautiful and colorful castle built in the Global Village. This reminds me of the Hawa Mahal in Jaipur which is an old palace built during the reign of Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh way back in 1799. 

Africa has a great colorful theme built and the best part is that this was Season 24 when I visited the venue. They will come up with a new Season 25 in some days and then it will be totally new and different from this version for sure. So if you stay in Dubai, you can actually take a membership to visit every season and enjoy the multicultural park. 

The venue also offers a fire and water fountain show and there is a list of activities and performance which you can visit and schedule your visit as per your interests. 

The venue also has Ripley Believe it or not and Stunt Show Survivor activation during this season 24. But anything you do inside is charged separately. You have to buy stuff using sometimes cash so please don't forget to take enough cash as not all food trucks are equipped with card machines. 

The grand stage the Global Village has holds all the international artists from time to time as well as local ones. There is always something happening at this main stage. The performances are really great and worth your every second of the time you spend in front of the stage or sitting in the park across the standing area.

Hi Friends, 

Global Village is one place in Dubai that has the lowest entrance fees for adults which are AED 15 and persons above 65 years of age go free. The place is full of different colors and attracts you a lot with its ever-changing lights. 

When we were returning from Dubai Safari we saw extremely great fireworks from far away on the road coming out from Global Village that happens only every Thursday and Friday. 

The place opens in the evening at 5pm and is open till 11-12am in the night. A lot of performances keep on happening in different parts of the village. It's called Global Village because they cover so many different cultures and countries with each having their unique area and shops. 

Iran has this unique stand with big size Persian soldiers, kings and queens. One of the most lovely stands for sure it is but keep your judgments far from your minds as you will see a lot of different other countries with amazing stands. 

There is a lot to do and I will say that you won't be able to cover the spot in a single day that's why Global Village has kept the entrance fees so less. They want you to come again and again during your stay in Dubai. Also with every ticket, you get entry into some kind of lucky draw or raffle to win big prizes like apartments or cash. 

The irony was India, in general, is so full of color with rich cultural heritage but the Global Village thought to put it in white color may be to showcase the number of forts or maybe taking inspiration from the Taj Mahal and keeping it white. 

The Global Village is an experience you will always remember and won't forget. Just eat the food along the way as the same food trucks are all around the park. It will be great if you start your food journey from the first country stall you visit.

Hi Friends,

A beautiful view from the Arabian Gulf looking towards the city of skyscrapers and what a view! Life is good when you are near the sea as they say the Vitamin Sea takes away all your stress and soothes your nerves. Check out all the other parts of this three-part series on my blog. 

La Mer Dubai by Meraas has something which makes it joyful and gives happy vibes to all the visitors. Look at this lovely and playful dolphin ruling the La Mer Beach and bringing all the necessary vibes. It reminds me of the love and passion I have for my new Instagram handle /thelifesway. 

The Meraas built this property in a world-class fashion to make Dubai Life much better with its several rewards programs at La Mer Dubai. The use of wood slabs and palm trees really brings the pirates of the Caribbean ship look of the whole place. 

The place is filled with a lot of shopping extravaganza and foodies paradise. A thing I have observed in Dubai is that even at value restaurants the food is tasty and you can fill your stomach for as low as AED 20 including a soft-drink or hot drink. 

My small one 2 years old Reyansh really loved entering the sea with his mother and sister. My brother too joined them for a while and Reyansh stayed inside till he was totally wet and needed a change of clothes later.  

The place is filled with wonders like this Doodle vent for the parking and basements make this whole place a unique experience. Even the beach has covered changing space for a single person and also there are showers to take a bath and also if you only want to wash your hands and feet, there are separate taps which I have never seen anywhere in the world. 

In the end, La Mer has my heart flying like a balloon in the air while I try to catch it back and also my breath. I wish I could have visited the place in the evening when the lights are fully lit and the place will look golden on the white sands of the Arabian Gulf at La Mer Beach 2.5 kilometers long in Dubai.

Hi Friends,

Beach vibes are always something that attracts us a lot and La Mer Dubai is a perfect spot to enjoy all day long. We spent some 2-3 hours at the location and totally loved the same. This is a great spot to do a picnic with the family.  

The La Mer Dubai is filled with Graffiti walls which are Instagram and Tik Tok ready. I was not able to take all the photos for all the walls as I felt really tired due to the harsh sunshine. 

I saw a lot of people walking and parking in the normal streets and crossing the streets towards La Mer where we parked underground in the parking. I only understood why they were doing so as the parking inside was AED20 per hour and I paid AED40 for my stay there in cash. 

But despite the high cost of parking inside the mall, the place is totally urbane and chic worthy of spending such a huge amount of money on parking. I am now not telling what it will cost for the ice creams etc as this place is not for cheap bargains etc. It will give you pleasure if you can spend some money. 

Keisha really loved the Turkish Icecream playing with her as he served the ice cream in a unique style which is not only fun to watch but brings much more fun. 

There is always something for everyone to do at La Mer Dubai as kids played under the small fountains and parents did bring extra clothes for them. 

I really loved this full-wall graffiti of local people being representing that person of every culture in whatever clothes - traditional or fashionable is welcome at La Mer Dubai and can enjoy his or her life with his or her family and friends. 

Here is the first view of the beach overlooking the Burj Khalifa skyscrapers making Dubai what it is and fetching a lot of footfall and tourists from around the world. Go check it out!

Hi Friends, 

Many things make up our thought patterns, perceptions and our way of seeing things and we always cast it in gold that it will be how we think it will be. But those are the shackles that will be broken sooner or later as you travel across the world and that's why they say that it's great to travel so that it open not only your eyes but the mind too. 

Dubai has so many eye-openers which you won't think that even exists in the city of Dubai but they are made world-class rather brought the world to the grand city of Dubai, UAE. 

Meraas Dubai has developed a La Mer Beach and the area around the beach into an old town and shopping mall full of restaurants, bistro, cafes, food trucks and the lovely graffiti walls and sea view. 

In short, it a small Laguna which is just like an old American town where you see cowboys and there are stores that only exist in America and are retailing in Dubai. Someone definitely took the inspirations from the old Hollywood movies or the actual towns in the USA. 

La Mer is a 2.5km long beachfront of relaxing white sand that incorporates minimalist and contemporary design overlooking the Arabian Gulf.  

The shops will suit the needs of a child to an elderly person to just relax along the beachfront. It also suits the pockets of every individual with products and eating joints ranging from food trucks to five-star restaurants.  

I totally loved walking around the La Mer beach despite the sun which was shining so high that even opening eyes was difficult that day. 

Overall, La Mer is something you would want to go, chill and relax with your friends and family. Even if you go alone, it's a place to just buy your favorite drink or ice cream and chill on the beach. Totally worth your time and try to go in the evenings or night unless you want to enter the Arabian Gulf for a swim in the ocean. Hi Friends, 

You can imagine how difficult is it to sustain the confectionary business where we see that the chocolates we used to eat in our childhood are no longer in the country and we are talking about the shop which was opened in Hamidiye Street during the Ottoman Empire in 1864 and is still standing tall.

Though founded by the father named Ismail Hakki Zade, the shop is on the name of his son Hafiz Mustafa who invented and founded Pogaca which are palm-sized buns with or without any kind of filling. Though father also was selling Akide which is hard candy.

Hafiz Mustafa was so good that he won 11 awards in Europe between 1926 to 1938 for his delicacies in the field of confectionary. Later his son Cecil took over before taken over by his wife and daughter. This is told that during this time the professionalism to be the world leaders made the confectionary gain word of mouth.

The company has changed hands thrice in the last 156 years of history and always been serving customers from around the world with the best of Baklavas, Turkish delights, hard candies, milk puddings, cakes, and many more items.

Despite being such a successful brand, the staff was cordial and helped to get you to your tongue's experimentation with various kinds of flavors with all respect. They never told no or pressured you to buy because they know you will as the taste slowly grows on you if you are eating for the first time also.

They offer sweets in different containers which can be called as gift-ready or collectibles if you like tin containers to keep your valuables later. Also, you can choose a single piece of different items and they will pack everything for you to enjoy at your leisure at home.

The baklava is mouth-watering and my wife totally loved the Pista version of the same. I really liked the Turkish delight in the Pomegranate flavor. The rates will be a bit higher as already told as compared to the rates at Duty-free shops in airports offering various other kinds of Turkish delights and baklava.

Someone rightly said that to win the heart of anyone, you need to make his tongue happy and what's better than a dessert which he can't say no to. I have always been a fan of chocolates, candies, sweets and whatever has sugar in it. 

Delicacies like these don't come cheap and when you are standing in the biggest mall in Dubai named Dubai Mall, you don't think about saving money. Once you have tasted the testers offered by the store, I don't think you can come out without buying even the cheapest one on display. 

Dubai Mall has more footfall than anything else in the world even New York Times Square in a calendar year. Dubai Mall has everything a person can desire in his life from the Apple store to a luxurious apartment in Burj Khalifa. 

Hafiz Mustafa is an Istanbul based company founded in 1864 and making the best Turkish Delights and Baklava since then. They have definitely maintained quality and offer you the best of the best in their trade. 

Don't forget the name if you are in Dubai Mall just came out of Burj Khalifa the shop is right there and also they have a cafe to take care of your coffee and tea requirements. 

There will be something for every age and sugar level intake at this shop. 

I totally fell in love with the presentation of food items on the shopping windows and all these photos are what is displayed in the windows. 

The child in me really wanted all the candies inside this tray as I wanted to grab them in my hands and start munching the Turkish delights in different tastes and flavors. 

They also offer plenty of suitable gift items in your price range to take the best Turkish delights and baklava for your loved ones across the world.
