Score Forward Foundation Ready for Hot Summer of Touch @DrinkScore

 Hi Friends,

Score, one of South Africa’s most popular energy drinks and the proud supporter of Forward Foundation Touch Rugby will be out in force in the Hot Summer of Touch beach circuit this December.

Held annually on popular beaches along the Western and Southern Cape Coast, this year’s Hot Summer of Touch has been limited to two tournaments with forty teams at each event to minimise the risk of Covid-19. The first tournament kicks off in Camps Bay on Sunday, 13 December followed by Kleinmond on Wednesday, 16 December. To ensure a safe experience for all involved all the required procedures of temperature checks and sanitising will be followed.

As the sponsor since 2013 of three Score Forward Foundation teams entered each year, Score supports the objectives of this Western Cape-based youth development organisation, to help empower communities to change lives through sport.

The Score Forward Foundation Open, Under 15’s and Professional (Pro) teams are all regular participants. The Pro team, past Hot Summer of Touch champions, has built a solid reputation that has opened doors for many other players. The team enjoys an enthusiastic fan base and players have become role models for children in their areas and the Touch Rugby community as a whole in the Western Cape.

“Score is built on the fundamentals of paying it forward and it is great to play a part in Forward Foundation’s main focus of contributing towards community empowerment through the unity of sport. We hope to inspire people to develop their potential and build better lives for themselves and those around them,” says Brand Manager Limise Mxatule, reinforcing Score’s commitment to nurture and support young people to become leaders and make a difference in their own lives and their communities.

With the assistance of Caylix Sport, Forward Foundation has unlocked a passion for touch rugby in the Helderberg area. By establishing a touch rugby culture for players between the ages of 14 and 24, these youths have an alternative “family” to which they can belong and be inspired for the future.
