Product Review - Frais Monde - Brutia Uomo Men's Shaving Range

Hi Guys,

It's been a pleasure to try out different range of luxurious shaving and bathing products when it's been gifted to you by your relatives from abroad. You must have been ignorant about the brand and suddenly you are using some of the amazing products from the same making you realize that what you have been missing in the likes of Gillette etc. 

Frais Monde is an Italian brand which is equally famous in USA. I received these amazing Brutia UOMO men's range of products in a jute bag. 

The packaging contained three tubes with Italian names. It is Caema Da Barba which is a Shaving Cream. Emulsione Dopo Barba which is a After Shave Lotion and Bagno Doccia Tonificante Stimolante is a Toning and Invigorating Shower Gel. 

The first time I used the Shower Gel, I was like wow! the fragrance was amazing and it felt so fresh after taking a bath using this gel. The products are really great and comes at a good cost. 

I really loved the Shaving cream as it gave a nice foam and really left good fragrance on your face. After-shave lotion is equivalently great to be used after the shave. It really heals any cuts and gives a nice feeling. 

Overall it's a great men's range and you will like to use it for yourself or to gift it to someone on his birthday or marriage. I have really fallen in love with these products and will try to make full use of them while they last.

Product Review - Old Spice Deodorant Spray

Old Spice has been in the market since 75 years and has been able to create an own niche in men’s shaving range of products. I have always been fascinated since childhood towards the red bottle of Old Spice after shave lotion. I have used my uncle’s bottle of Old Spice several times whenever I used to get some wounds while playing or just for the cool fragrance. 

The very first time I bought my own bottle of Old Spice Whitewater and Musk after shave lotion was in Hyderabad when I was doing my MBA. I still remember it was on sale combining two lotions in one pack. I immediately bought two Old Spice After shave lotion packs (one for me and other one for dad) and they really served me long. In between I switched to Clarins as I got that as a gift from my brother in law and as soon as that one was over, I bought Gillette but I dearly missed my red bottle.

As life events happened, I moved to Johannesburg and my roommate gifted me Old Spice Musk in this small white bottle. It felt like a home coming while being outside the country. I was really happy to use the same.

Meanwhile, I always wanted to use their deodorant range and wanted to break away from the fascination owards BRUT. Old Spice new red deodorant spray cans with several versions namely Kilimanjaro, Hawkridge and Wolfthorn really motivated me to buy them immediately. I bought them from the nearest Pick n Pay store.

I really felt in love with their fresh and refreshing fragrance and long lasting effect. All the versions are great and I really loved this new range of Old Spice deodrants. Try one for yourself and you will like them too!

Product Review - The Body Shop - For Men - MACA ROOT

Hi Guys,

I was introduced to The Body Shop product range by my brother who gifted me MACA ROOT range of products from the men's range when he came on holidays to India from USA. I have been using Gillette shaving products before using these ones.

The gift pack comes in a nice toiletries bag containing four tubes - Shave Cream, Face Wash, Face Protector and Razor Relief - all from the Peruvian maca root. The gift pack offers the whole range required for men for their daily shaving range except for Razors.

The best part about this shaving cream is the amount of cream that you need to apply for shaving. Only a small pinch of cream on your finger is enough to produce a lot of foam to glide the razor easily on your face.  The fragrance is awesome and your skin feels refreshed after the shaving. I really loved this cream so much that I bought another gift pack for myself in London. The Body Shop products are available at a lot of discounts in sale in London. I made use of one of those sales and bought them at 50% discount.

Maca Root face wash is also great and I feel great every time I use it. One thing with these products is that they last really long if you are not using them daily.
Razor Relief does what it says and is to be used after shaving to cool any cuts happened during shaving.
Face Protector can be used anytime as and when required and is a general multipurpose cream for men.

I really like this entire range of products and now I am on the verge of finishing my second set of these products. I need to go and check out the Sandton City shop of The Body Shop for some sale or offers to continue using them for another years to come.

Soldier for Women – My wife’s Brother

Hi All, 

A woman is the whole of nature wrapped up beautifully and sent to the world to make it a better place. She has the power to create, nourish, nurture, love and heal. Today, right from the moment the doctor tells a mother the three golden words, "It's a girl", a strange fear tugs the mother's heart. Fear of rejection, fear of what might be done to her because of the lack of that primarily important Y chromosome and the greatest of all, the fear of her little angel having to deal with rapists, eve teasers and dowry seekers. Each breathing moment carries a feeling of helplessness in the parents' hearts, when they see the apple of their eyes out alone in this big bad world.

In those moments of truth, it’s the brother/cousins who are of your own age and always acts as your friends for life. They are the protector and always are ready to go the extra mile to save you from all praying eyes. My wife is totally devoted to his brother Avanish who made her stand on her own feet. He helped her did ICWA and when that didn’t fetched her the job, he helped her to pursue MBA. He even helped her financially with the coaching fees, books, filling up all the forms and travel expenses. As she took admission to a prestigious MBA college he helped her with monthly expenses throughout for 2 years. She did manage to fetch a scholarship but all the other expenses were covered by him through his hard earned money. Finally he spent whatever was necessary to spent on her marriage to me, we had a love marriage and so no dowry was exchanged as we both saved money for our household goods and expenses through our jobs.

Overall, it’s his great love and sacrifice that my wife is happy with her life and what she is earning and what kind of job she is doing without MBA and with MBA. Avanish surely has helped her excel in her career and life.
