Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Premieres on Disney Channel

Prepare for a magical adventure as the highly anticipated series “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” premieres on Disney Channel (DStv Channel 303) on Monday, 27 January at 17:00 CAT.

The series follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman and Milo. When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.

“The series cast includes “Wizards of Waverly Place” alumni David Henrie (as Justin Russo) alongside newcomer Janice LeAnn Brown (as Billie), Alkaio Thiele (as Roman Russo), Max Matenko (as Milo Russo), Taylor Cora (as Winter) and Mimi Gianopulos (as Giada Russo). Selena Gomez (as Alex Russo) will guest star in the first episode.

“Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” has Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas serve as writers and executive producers, along with executive producers Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Selena Gomez

and David Henrie. Andy Fickman directed and executive-produced the pilot and will direct multiple episodes. Other Disney Channel alumni involved in the series are Raven-Symoné (“Raven’s Home”) and Danielle Fishel (“Girl Meets World”) taking on director roles for episodes in season one.

Leading up to the series premiere, you can catch a marathon of the original series “Wizards of Waverly Place” and the 2009 movie “Wizards of Waverly Place – The Movie” on Disney Channel on Sunday, 26 January at 10:15 CAT. In the film, Alex (Selena Gomez) is forced to go on holiday with her parents. Clearly reluctant to be on this vacation, she wishes her parents had never met - with disastrous results. Spells and sorcery abound in this fun-filled movie. This is followed by a marathon of Season 4 of the series from 11:55 CAT – 16:05 CAT.

School is out and the fun is in as @DStv offers #DisneyChannel in an open window this winter break

DStv viewers are in for a treat this school holiday, as Disney Channel (DStv, Channel 303) will be opening to DStv Family and Access customers from Saturday, 15 June – Sunday, 7 July. To celebrate, Disney Channel has collected super-sized doses of fun, laughter and adventure, including returning films and seasons of fan favourites as well as brand new live-action and animation series.

Special holiday programming that customers will be able to dive into, includes a mix of new series from Pretty Freekin’ Scary S1 to Chip ‘n Dale: Park Life S2 to old friends on Bunk’d: Against the Ropes S7 and more in-between. A very special Saturday Movie Night block will be launched at 19:30 (VAT) and kicks off on 15 June with the iconic Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) High School Musical – following the gifted students at East High, the film broke barriers and stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale.

Other movies include High School Musical 2 on 22 June; the brand-new animated movie Night at The Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again on 29 June and on 6 July Lego Marvel Avengers: Code Red, all at 19:30 CAT.

Local is indeed lekker as we welcome back Wandi & Kabz on Friday, 28 June at 16:50 CAT for Season 2. This live-action meets animation comedy series featuring Ogadinma Ngobili (14) as Wandi and Marang Neo (10) as Kabz is a laugh-a-minute. These besties go on grand adventures together, meeting popular African historical figures, thanks to Wandi’s special antique, time-travelling pocket watch. After a quick and playful interaction, the historical figures whisk Wandi and Kabz off to the past for a light-hearted glimpse into significant scenes from their lives.

Animated offerings this month include the Season 4 premiere of Big City Greens on 22 June at 12:20 CAT. Bill Green and his two children Cricket and Tilly move in with his mother Alice (Gramma), who lives on a small farm in the middle of a city known as "Big City". In Season 4, the Greens celebrate Halloween and Bill is disappointed by the tiny pumpkins he grew, so Tilly steals an alien compound to grow the pumpkins and make her papa happy. You can also enjoy a double bill of Chip ‘n Dale: Park Life followed by Monsters at Work on Monday– Friday, from 17 June at 06:50 CAT. Monsters at Work is the sequel series to the Monsters Inc. franchise and follows the journey of an eager young monster Tylor Tuskmon.

There are also plenty of high adventure highlights with everyone’s favourite ladybug Marinette in Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. Enjoy all three Ladybug movies on Saturday mornings at 10;40 CAT starting with Miraculous World: New York United Heroes on 15 June, followed by Miraculous World: Shanghai, The Legend of Ladydragon on 22 June and Miraculous World Paris: Tales of Shadybug and Claw Noir on 29 June.

This holiday season a myriad of festive programming awaits the whole family as Disney Channel (DStv channel 303) and Disney Junior (DStv channel 309) present their festive lineup.

Audiences can expect old favourites and new friends as we kick off the holidays:

There are wonderful festive episodes and specials on Disney Channel this December. In Big City Greens, it’s Christmas Eve and Tilly helps Cricket redeem his years’ worth of bad deeds for one last chance to get on Santa's nice list, on 10 December at 10:15.

Disney Channels’ Original Movie Christmas Again sees Rowena, a child of divorced parents, experiencing a lacklustre Christmas, she makes a wish to a neighbourhood Santa for a "do-over," and unexpectedly finds herself reliving Christmas day over and over again. In this magical holiday movie, Rowena must learn to love her modern blended family as it is, in order to break the strange loop she has found herself in. In the process, she'll learn that the true meaning of Christmas is about helping others, not just herself. Go on the never-ending adventure with Rowena on Friday, 23 December at 17:25.

Re-live the fun times with tech whiz K.C in K.C Undercover on Saturday, 24 December at 08:10 with “Twas the Fight Before Christmas” where K.C. prides herself on giving great Christmas gifts and thinks she's found the perfect one for her dad - a visit from his father! But it doesn't go to plan.

Enjoy a marathon of Christmas movies on the channel on Christmas Day starting with The Ultimate Christmas Present at 10:15; the story of two high school girls who use a weather machine to get the schools closed early for Christmas. A blizzard hits LA and comic chaos ensues. This is followed by Twas the Night at 11:55, where Danny and his irresponsible uncle decide to take Santa's brand-new high-tech sleigh for a ride, they nearly ruin Christmas for millions of kids. At 13:35, go on a crazy trip with the Duncan family in Good Luck Charlie: The Road Trip Movie. While travelling to Palm Springs to spend the holidays with her grandparents, Teddy decides to give up her seat on the plane to get a free flight voucher - assuming she’ll be able to get a seat on the next flight. Amy goes with her and they two are unfortunately separated from the rest of the family and have to find alternate plans to get to Palm Springs.

Disney Junior has a special holiday stunt with festive episodes from Monday, 19 December, kicking off with a new episode of Alice’s Wonderland Bakery on the day at 10:00. It’s Christmas in Wonderland and the Queen invites a few guests to her dinner. When a Mome Rath invasion cancels the event, Alice and her friends host a dinner for all of Wonderland.

On Wednesday, 21 December at 10:30, it's Christmas Eve with the PJ Masks. Greg tries to learn how to ice skate with Amaya and Connor until they notice all the Christmas decorations are missing. On Christmas Eve night, the PJ Masks find that Luna Girl is stealing everyone's Christmas presents from the chimneys for herself with her Luna Magnet.

In Mickey Saves Christmas on Friday, 23 December at 12:00, Mickey Mouse wants to throw the perfect Christmas for his friends in a cozy cabin. Plans change when Pluto tries to convince Mickey to play fetch with him instead of decorating, accidentally causing Santa to crash his sleigh and lose all of his presents. With time running out on Christmas Eve, Mickey, Pluto, and their friends must travel to the North Pole to save Christmas and learn the true meaning of the holiday.

In the new year, Disney Channel welcomes a brand-new season of Miraculous Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir – where teenager Marinette changes into Ladybug, her clandestine superhero persona, while her classmate and crush Adrien transforms into Cat Noir, his secret superhero persona, to shield Paris from evil. In Season 5, which airs 16 January at 15:15, Ladybug has lost the Miracle Box and Monarch has never been so close to victory. But our heroes will prove to be more united than ever.

Brand-new show Chip ‘n Dale Park Life premieres on Disney Channel on 16 January as well – with everyone’s favourite chipmunks causing chaos everywhere they go. Our two tiny troublemakers have huge adventures while trying to live the good life in a big city park. Nervous worrier Chip and laid-back dreamer Dale make the perfect odd couple: they’re best buddies and they drive each other nuts. Catch all the mayhem Monday to Thursday from 16 January at 17:50.

Disney Junior kicks off the New Year with Season 3 of T.O.T.S on Saturday, 14 January at 18:30. The heartfelt animated comedy series explores the hilarious adventures of best friends Pip and Freddy, a tenacious penguin and a kind-hearted flamingo, who are the only non-stork delivery birds in-training at Tiny Ones Transport Service (T.O.T.S.). Pip and Freddy’s sleuthing skills are put to the test while Freddy can’t wait for his cousin to spend the day with him, but his idea of fun gets out of control. JP reveals how he became a Super-Duper Flier!

Our favourite neighbourhood super-hero Spidey is back with Season 2 of Spidey and his Amazing Friends on 30 January at 08:05. Peter Parker, Gwen Stacey and Miles Morales continue their Super-Hero adventures as Team Spidey are joined by all-new Avengers – Iron Man, Ant-Man and Wasp and Reptil. Together, they square off against tricky new foes Electro, Black Cat and Sandman, in an effort to protect not just their community but the world of nature around them.

Tis the season to enjoy a world of festive programming, only on Disney Channel and Disney Junior!

This October both Disney Channel and Disney Junior bring you the spookiest episodes and all the fan favourites to celebrate Halloween. Keep the little ones entertained with a host of exciting entertainment, from a delightful Disney Channel Original Movie on Disney Channel, DStv channel 303, to the best of Halloween episodes from our Disney Junior friends on DStv channel 309.

Disney Channel’s Friday movie feast continues throughout October with the return of Zapped on Disney Channel, starring Zendaya. Zapped is about sixteen-year-old Zoey Stevens, a skilled dancer and straight-A student, who is having a hard time adjusting to a new high school, a new and klutzy dance squad, a new step-dad, three new rowdy step-brothers and an unruly dog. But things change when a dog training app on her smartphone begins to somehow control all the boys around her.

On Friday, 29 October at 17:00, Disney Channel premieres a great new Halloween-themed Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) Under Wraps.

Under Wraps is the contemporary comedic remake of the 1997 Halloween classic of the same name and follows three 12-year-old friends, Marshall, Gilbert and Amy. They happen upon and awaken a mummy, which they affectionately name Harold, and must rush to return him to his resting place before midnight on Halloween. Along the way, the team narrowly escapes a nefarious group of criminals, intent on selling the mummy to the highest bidder. When Harold is inevitably captured, Marshall, Gilbert and Amy must band together to stand up to the criminals, face their fears and rescue their new—but rather “ancient”—friend.

Disney Junior offers up an entire day of festivities on Sunday, 31 October with back-to-back Halloween-themed episodes kicking off at 10:00.

The fun starts with Mickey’s Mixed-Up Adventures at 10:00. In the episode entitled The Spooky Spook House! Mickey decorates Mr. Doozy's bed and breakfast for a chance to win Alistair's Halloween contest.

The entertainment continues with two premieres Halloween themed stories from Chicken Squad. In T-Wrecks / Trick or Eek (10:30), Sweetie and Little Boo both want to dress as a T-Rex for Halloween, so Coop referees a contest to decide who is the winner.

Then in Trick or Eek, The squad helps their friends track down a candy-stealing ghost on Halloween night.

Canine chaos ensues as Puppy Dog Pals join in with 221B Barker Street (11:00). When treats go missing from the Puppy Playcare Halloween party, Bingo and Rolly set off on a mission to solve the mystery. Then in the episode “Leaf It to Puppies”, when Bob leaves before he finishes raking, Bingo and Rolly set out to protect the leafy pile.

Vampirina returns to the channel this Halloween with premiere episodes. The first premiere episode airs at 11:30. In Double Double Halloween Trouble / The Creepover. In the first story of the episode, Vampirina can’t decide if she wants to celebrate Halloween with her friends in Pennsylvania or attend her Nanpire and Grandpop’s annual Boneyard Banquet in Transylvania, so she tries to do both. Broadway legends Patti LuPone (“Evita”) and Brian Stokes Mitchell (“Kiss Me, Kate”) return as Vee’s grandparents, Nanpire and Grandpop. Then, Vee’s friend Frankie visits Transylvania to attend her first human sleepover. Marsai Martin (“black-ish”) and Martha Plimpton (“The Goonies”) recur as Frankie and Bridgit’s mom, Briana, respectively.

Mickey joins the fun with a special, Mickey Mouse: The Tale of Two Witches (12:00). On Halloween, Mickey tells of two witches-in-training (Minnie and Daisy), who must pass four tests to graduate from the Witch Academy in Happy Haunt Hills. While Daisy isn’t confident about passing, the girls learn that working together makes their magic and their friendship stronger. After they defeat a mischievous ghost, they prove their witchy worth and graduate to become real witches! Minnie and Daisy learn that working together makes their magic and their friendship stronger.

Breaking through the pack, the innovative series "Just Roll With It" combines improvisational comedy with a traditional family sitcom. The series allows a studio audience to vote on the direction of key scenes throughout the filming while the actors are backstage—completely unaware of what's in store for them. A feat of planning and physical production each episode, the comedy series was created and are executive produced by Adam Small and Trevor Moore (Disney's "Walk the Prank") with a production crew led by Skot Bright (Disney's "Walk the Prank"). 

This unique series follows the newly blended Bennett-Blatt family—preteen stepsiblings Blair and Owen and their fun-loving parents Rachel and Byron—as they navigate everyday family life and the ups and downs of adolescence while balancing a household of contrasting personalities. Blair, often a rebel without a cause, is the polar opposite of her very regimented but loving mom Rachel, who is a decorated military veteran and station manager for BEATZ 101 in their hometown of Akron, Ohio. Owen, a model student who thrives when following rules and detailed schedules, tries to manage his creative and charismatic father, Byron, an on-air radio personality on BEATZ 101 who frequently stirs up hijinks with his high-energy co-host, Gator. 

As season two begins, the Bennett-Blatts is finally rescued from the sea only to discover Rachel's mischievous and somewhat unpredictable dad, who relishes being a doting but unruly Grandpa has been kicked out of his retirement community and needs to move in with the family. 

At unpredictable intervals, unknown to the cast or audience, the scripted action is suddenly interrupted by the sound of a foghorn. The actors are sequestered backstage while the studio audience uses electronic voting devices at their seats to select which of the three comedic scenarios they would like to take place next. After votes are cast, the crew quickly resets and the actors return to the stage to continue the unscripted scene, improvising throughout it. Through it all, the Bennett-Blatts, and the actors who play them take whatever life—and the studio audience—throws at them … and they "Just Roll With It." 

"Just Roll With It" stars Tobie Windham ("Walk the Prank") as Byron Blatt, Suzi Barrett ("Upright Citizens Brigade," Disney's "Kirby Buckets") as Rachel Bennett-Blatt, Ramon Reed ("The Lion King") as Owen Blatt, Kaylin Hayman ("One Day at a Time") as Blair Bennett and J.C. Currais as "Gator." Recurring cast members include John Ratzenberger (Disney/Pixar's "Toy Story," "Cheers") as Grandpa, Candace Kozak as Owen and Blair's school friend, Ruth Booth, and Michael Lanahan as the school's principal Mr Penworth. 

The series is produced by Kenwood TV Productions, Inc., and is filmed in Los Angeles. It carries a TV-Y7 parental guideline.

The Bennett-Blacks are back! It’s time for lots more fun with this family, in the show which blends improvised comedy with a scripted family sitcom that gives the audience the power to pick what happens next! Premiere episodes from season two air on weekdays from Monday 2nd to Tuesday 17th August at 17:25.

In this second season, after surviving a harrowing ordeal on the lake, the Bennett-Blatt family must adjust to life when Grandpa Blatt moves in. The kids receive their standardized test scores, and it's discovered that Blair is a genius! And when Owen is pranked at school, Grandpa Blatt, with the help of Blair and his old Army buddy, Joey Coconuts, set out on a night-long quest to get revenge! There’s never a dull moment, but when the going gets tough, the Bennett-Blatts “Just Roll with It!”

In the first of this month’s premiere episodes, The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year (Monday 2nd August at 17:25), when the props and costumes are vandalized before the Beatz 101 Christmas telethon, Owen takes it upon himself to uncover the mystery!

SECRET NUMBER ONE… 

THERE WERE TEARS ON SET BEFORE THE CAMERAS STARTED TO ROLL! 

Raven-Symoné – who plays Raven Baxter in Raven’s Home – reveals: “I definitely had a tear in my eye when I walked on to the set of Raven’s Home for the very first time. It was really emotional because I was really happy to be working with Disney Channel again. It’s been 10 years since That’s So Raven finished, but this is a whole new show and it’s exciting to be back. The first time I walked on to the set, the sets were not finished. They were still in construction, so I could smell the fresh wood being cut and I reminisced to back when I was younger. It was a pleasure to be knowing that I was going to be working on a Disney stage again. It was awesome.” 

SECRET NUMBER TWO… 

RAVEN-SYMONÉ IS FULL OF GREAT ADVICE! 

Issac Ryan Brown – who plays Booker in the show – admits: “I am having the time of my life on Raven’s Home. It’s so much fun to be on a show like this, but I also love the fact that I’m learning loads. Raven is full of amazing advice. She tells us not to take our phones on set and she teaches us about the proper etiquette when you’re at work on a show like Raven’s Home. She’s taught us never to wear open-toed shoes on set because something might fall on your feet and you could get hurt. She tells us to keep our shoes tied properly; she even taught me a special knot! She's always full of great acting advice and she always knows what to do. She’s had such an amazing career, so it’s great to learn from the best.” 

SECRET NUMBER THREE… 

RAVEN’S HOME IS RECORDED IN FRONT OF A LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE! 

Anneliese van der Pol – who plays Chelsea in Raven’s Home – explains: “I love performing in front of live audiences. For somebody like me, who started in theatre and still does a lot of live theatres, it’s a joy to work on a show that’s taped in front of a live studio audience. I absolutely love it. Nothing is better than getting a live laugh! When you work on a show that’s not recorded in front of an audience, it’s hard to tell what’s funny – but a live audience will give you immediate feedback with their laughter and their giggles. After every show, it’s really gratifying to sign autographs for the audience. We hang around to speak to the audience and find out what they liked about the show. It’s great.” 

SECRET NUMBER FOUR… 

SKY KATZ IS THE BIGGEST PRANKSTER ON THE SET OF THE SHOW! 

“We have lots of fun filming Raven’s Home,” chuckles Issac. “Sky Katz – who plays next-door-neighbour Tess in the show – is the biggest prankster on the set. One time, she asked me to look down into a bottle of water to see a coin underneath – but then she tried to squirt the water in my face. It was really funny! She does a bunch of pranks, but that’s one I managed to avoid. There’s something about her rapper aura that makes her the biggest prankster. She’s hilarious.” 

SECRET NUMBER FIVE… 

THE SHOW IS SET IN CHICAGO, BUT IT’S SHOT THOUSANDS OF MILES AWAY! 

“In the show, Raven and Chelsea are raising their kids in Chicago – but the cast film the action on a studio set in Hollywood, California” admits Anneliese. “In LA, you’d have to drive your kids to school and the weather stays the same all year round. SECRET NUMBER SIX… 

RAVEN-SYMONÉ WOULD LOVE TO SHOOT A FULLY MUSICAL EPISODE! 

Raven’s Home star Raven-Symoné is well known for her musical skills. She sang the theme tune for That’s So Raven and has released a number of albums. “I also sing the theme tune for Raven’s Home, which is exciting,” reveals the actress and singer. “I’d love to do a fully musical episode in the future. Wouldn’t that be cool? We did it on That’s So Raven, so it would be great to do it with Raven’s Home.” 

SECRET NUMBER SEVEN… 

THERE’S A BIZARRE ANIMAL APPEARANCE IN AN UPCOMING EPISODE! 

“There are lots of crazy, funny stories in Raven’s Home,” explains Issac. “There’s a fun Halloween episode where lots of the cast dressed up in costumes. There’s an episode with a clown. There’s even an episode that features a gorilla! The gorilla episode is really cool. It’s about overcoming your fears for the good of everyone else.” 

SECRET NUMBER EIGHT… 

SEE IF YOU CAN SPOT RAVEN’S ART IN THE SHOW! 

Raven-Symoné is a whizz at art, which is why some of her paintings are hanging up on the set of Raven’s Home. “I’m going to call them Secret Ravens,” reveals the actress. “I’m not going to tell you which of the paintings are mine, but they are definitely in the show. If you follow me on Instagram, they’ve been posted before, so you might be able to work it out – but I also did some artwork on clothing, which will turn up in season one.” Keep your peepers peeled, gang! 

SECRET NUMBER NINE… 

THE CAST PLAY GAMES WHEN THE CAMERAS STOP ROLLING! 

“I really love the set of Raven’s Home,” admits Issac. “In total, I think there are nine sets and each one is filled with props and fun things. The studio is huge and it’s very, very cool. When we’re not working, we often play hide and seek. My favorite place to hide is inside a little tower on the rooftop set. That’s usually where I run and hide, but don’t tell everyone… It’s a secret!” 

SECRET NUMBER TEN… 

THERE WAS AN EPIC PARTY TO CELEBRATE THE END OF SEASON ONE! 

“When we finished filming season one of Raven’s Home, we celebrated with a party,” explains Jason Maybaum, who plays Levi in the show. “We went to a karaoke place near the set and we all took turns at singing. It was so much fun! I sang It’s Tricky by Run DMC and Raven sang the Take Me To Church song by Hozier. She’s a really good singer. We had a blast!”

THE GANG’S BACK TOGETHER AGAIN! 

“It was awesome to be back on set for Descendants 3,” reveals Booboo Stewart, who plays Jay. “Not only was the cast back together again, but a lot of the dancers from the previous two films were back. It was really, really cool to see everyone. Before we started shooting, we had tons of dance rehearsals with our new choreographer, Jamal Sims. Jamal is incredible. He’s also part of the cast because he plays Dr. Facilier in Descendants 3. It’s great to have him on board.” 

BEHIND-THE-SCENES SECRET NUMBER TWO… 

THE MOVIE IS MAGICAL! 

“There’s a lot more magic in Descendants 3,” admits Dove Cameron, who plays Mal. “I would describe Descendants 3 as being the most magical of all three films by far, and I think everyone will be very happy with it. All of this magic means there are loads of special effects in the movie. There’s a lot of green screens and a lot of visual effects. It’s going to be a feast for your eyes!” 

BEHIND-THE-SCENES SECRET NUMBER THREE… 

THERE ARE SOME COOL NEW CHARACTERS! 

Keep your eyes open for tons of Easter eggs in Descendants 3. “I love the way we reflect back to the first movie in the third movie,” explains Cameron Boyce, who plays Carlos. “In the first movie, we came to Auradon. In the third movie, we bring new kids to Auradon. The new kids are called Celia, Squeaky and Squirmy – and they go through all the same emotions that we went through in the first movie. I think it’s great that there are lots of these different callbacks to the other movies in Descendants 3.” 

BEHIND-THE-SCENES SECRET NUMBER FOUR… 

THERE ARE NEW VILLAINS IN THE STORY, TOO! 

“I love the new baddies in the movie,” admits Booboo Stewart. “The baddies are really cool and I think they are going to surprise people. It’s awesome because you also get to see where the baddies live, which means you get to see more of the Isle Of The Lost in Descendants 3. You get to see lots of parts of the Isle that you haven’t seen before!” 

BEHIND-THE-SCENES SECRET NUMBER FIVE… 

PREPARE FOR A GIGGLE-FEST! 

“Descendants 3 is really, really funny,” chuckles Cameron Boyce. “You are definitely going to laugh out loud when you see the movie. Carlos and Jay have a lot more comedy in the third film than they did in the first two, which is fun. Even when a scene isn’t supposed to be comedic, we manage to find something fun to do – and it works.” 

BEHIND-THE-SCENES SECRET NUMBER SIX… 

THE SETS ARE EPIC! 

“The new sets are really awesome,” admits Booboo Stewart. “Not only do you get to see more of the Isle Of The Lost, but you also get to see more of Auradon in Descendants 3. Way, way more! I really enjoyed seeing more of this world. When the sets were being built, we got to see little models and photos of what everything was going to look like. When the sets were finished, it was incredible to see them for real. I love the fact that we return to some of the places that we visited in the past, including Auradon Prep. In a way, going back to that castle was almost like going home. It brought back so many great memories. It’s beautiful.” 

BEHIND-THE-SCENES SECRET NUMBER SEVEN… 

EXPECT TONS OF DANCING! 

“There are lots of incredible dance numbers in Descendants 3,” reveals Brenna D’Amico, who plays Jane. “The choreography was the most challenging of all three movies by far. Thankfully, I was surrounded by great choreographers and dancers who were able to help me learn the moves. Everyone is going to be dancing along at home. My little cousins dance along to every single Descendants movie and I know they’re going to be dancing, even more, this time. Especially with the song at the end of the movie. That’s my favorite!” 

BEHIND-THE-SCENES SECRET NUMBER EIGHT… 

THE CAST ATTENDED A MONTH-LONG BOOT CAMP! 

“We had a four-week boot camp before we started shooting the movie,” admits Cameron Boyce. “We had tons of dance rehearsals, as well as sword fighting lessons. The swords in Descendants 2 were very skinny. They are much bigger and heavier in Descendants 3, which was tough at times. There’s a dance number where we are fighting and dancing at the same time, so there was a lot of multi-tasking.” 

BEHIND-THE-SCENES SECRET NUMBER NINE… 

THE MUSIC WILL BLOW YOU AWAY! 

“The music in Descendants 3 is fantastic,” enthuses Booboo Stewart. “The soundtrack is going to be seriously amazing! The songs are really catchy and they are going to make everyone want to dance along. There’s a little rock in the music and there’s also a little pop. There’s even a little hip-hop and some cool electric feels, too. There’s something for everyone!” 

BEHIND-THE-SCENES SECRET NUMBER TEN… 

THERE WAS A LOT OF LAUGHTER ON THE SET! 

“Thomas Doherty and Jedidiah Goodacre are definitely the biggest jokers in the cast,” chuckles Cameron Boyce. “Jedidiah would always make us laugh. He is the craziest person you’ll ever meet! One day, he showed up wearing a pink crop top. He’s a crazy man who constantly brings a smile to your face. Dove pranked me really well on set. She walked into my trailer wearing lots of prosthetics and scared me! It was really funny.” 

BEHIND-THE-SCENES EXTRA… 

THE CAST MEMBERS ARE THE BEST OF FRIENDS! 

“We had a great time filming Descendants 3 in Vancouver,” explains Cameron Boyce. “When you’re in a different city with people you’ve known for years, it’s always going to be fun. We would hang out together all the time. We would go and get Thai food and ice cream. Or we’d go to the movies. One night, we went to buy loads of snacks from a shop over the street from our hotel. Dove and Sofia were still in their robes from work! We so much food and returned to Dove’s room to eat it all. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs that night, but it was really fun. We’d do fun stuff like that all the time.” 

BEHIND-THE-SCENES EXTRA… 

DUDE IS BACK! 

“Everyone keeps asking me if there’s going to be a talking dog in Descendants 3,” ponders Cameron Boyce. “I can confirm that Dude is back and he will be talking. He’s a lot of comedic relief in the movie! I don’t think the movie would be the same without Dude.” Woof!
