This October both Disney Channel and Disney Junior bring you the spookiest episodes and all the fan favourites to celebrate Halloween. Keep the little ones entertained with a host of exciting entertainment, from a delightful Disney Channel Original Movie on Disney Channel, DStv channel 303, to the best of Halloween episodes from our Disney Junior friends on DStv channel 309.

Disney Channel’s Friday movie feast continues throughout October with the return of Zapped on Disney Channel, starring Zendaya. Zapped is about sixteen-year-old Zoey Stevens, a skilled dancer and straight-A student, who is having a hard time adjusting to a new high school, a new and klutzy dance squad, a new step-dad, three new rowdy step-brothers and an unruly dog. But things change when a dog training app on her smartphone begins to somehow control all the boys around her.

On Friday, 29 October at 17:00, Disney Channel premieres a great new Halloween-themed Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) Under Wraps.

Under Wraps is the contemporary comedic remake of the 1997 Halloween classic of the same name and follows three 12-year-old friends, Marshall, Gilbert and Amy. They happen upon and awaken a mummy, which they affectionately name Harold, and must rush to return him to his resting place before midnight on Halloween. Along the way, the team narrowly escapes a nefarious group of criminals, intent on selling the mummy to the highest bidder. When Harold is inevitably captured, Marshall, Gilbert and Amy must band together to stand up to the criminals, face their fears and rescue their new—but rather “ancient”—friend.

Disney Junior offers up an entire day of festivities on Sunday, 31 October with back-to-back Halloween-themed episodes kicking off at 10:00.

The fun starts with Mickey’s Mixed-Up Adventures at 10:00. In the episode entitled The Spooky Spook House! Mickey decorates Mr. Doozy's bed and breakfast for a chance to win Alistair's Halloween contest.

The entertainment continues with two premieres Halloween themed stories from Chicken Squad. In T-Wrecks / Trick or Eek (10:30), Sweetie and Little Boo both want to dress as a T-Rex for Halloween, so Coop referees a contest to decide who is the winner.

Then in Trick or Eek, The squad helps their friends track down a candy-stealing ghost on Halloween night.

Canine chaos ensues as Puppy Dog Pals join in with 221B Barker Street (11:00). When treats go missing from the Puppy Playcare Halloween party, Bingo and Rolly set off on a mission to solve the mystery. Then in the episode “Leaf It to Puppies”, when Bob leaves before he finishes raking, Bingo and Rolly set out to protect the leafy pile.

Vampirina returns to the channel this Halloween with premiere episodes. The first premiere episode airs at 11:30. In Double Double Halloween Trouble / The Creepover. In the first story of the episode, Vampirina can’t decide if she wants to celebrate Halloween with her friends in Pennsylvania or attend her Nanpire and Grandpop’s annual Boneyard Banquet in Transylvania, so she tries to do both. Broadway legends Patti LuPone (“Evita”) and Brian Stokes Mitchell (“Kiss Me, Kate”) return as Vee’s grandparents, Nanpire and Grandpop. Then, Vee’s friend Frankie visits Transylvania to attend her first human sleepover. Marsai Martin (“black-ish”) and Martha Plimpton (“The Goonies”) recur as Frankie and Bridgit’s mom, Briana, respectively.

Mickey joins the fun with a special, Mickey Mouse: The Tale of Two Witches (12:00). On Halloween, Mickey tells of two witches-in-training (Minnie and Daisy), who must pass four tests to graduate from the Witch Academy in Happy Haunt Hills. While Daisy isn’t confident about passing, the girls learn that working together makes their magic and their friendship stronger. After they defeat a mischievous ghost, they prove their witchy worth and graduate to become real witches! Minnie and Daisy learn that working together makes their magic and their friendship stronger.

Experience More Moments of “Play” with @FantaFunZA #FantaPhotoBomb

Fanta launched a fun new campaign called #FantaPhotoBomb, which is designed to set the stage for and also amplify more moments of “play”. This campaign is specifically targeted at all selfie lovers and the ever-present, always on time, photo bombers.

Driven by this awesome campaign, Fanta wishes to continue creating more play in their world, using the playful icons printed on the new cans. Fanta wants to inspire people to have spontaneous moments of fun on their social playgrounds, as well as enable them to share their #FantaPhotoBomb moments on the brand’s social media pages and with their friends. Fanta is inviting consumers to experience #FantaPhotoBomb in style as they make their way across the country to host memorable play stops in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg. This experience will include different interactive areas. 

 

Consumers were also treated to a special “Trolls” movie private screening. Joining us on this playful journey are Kay Sibiya, Khanya Mkangisa and Cape Town’s very own NerdzSquared. They will be photobombing their way through their respective cities, with the help of Fanta.

Earlier themes includes - architecture, family and friends where you have to Fanta photobomb your friends and family etc using the Fanta Cans and bottles.

A #Trolls Movie Experience of Lifetime @FantaFunZA #FantaPhotoBomb

Hi Guys, 

Fanta is one of the coolest drinks which have been my favorite since childhood. It was called "Gold Spot" in India way back in 1980's and later Coca Cola named it Fanta. When I was in London, I saw Fanta available in different flavors from Original Orange to pineapple to berries. In Fanta's World, Fun is Guaranteed and that's the summary of this story which I am about to share. 

Coming back to the real life story of how the movie experience became a once in a lifetime opportunity for me started with a phone call to inquire about the address. I was told that an invite will be given in person to the Trolls movie at SterKinekor, Sandton City on 19th Oct. I was waiting as it was a festive season and here comes the invite by none other than the celebrity Khanya Mkangisa. She came along with her team and immediately we started creating #FantaPhotoBomb. Khanya is the Top Billing star on SABC3. Fanta invite included Fanta tshirt for myself and my daughter along with a diary and lunch cover and Fanta Cap. Also included was the tangy tasty chilled 6 cans of Fanta Orange for myself and my friends. My daugher was delighted to receive the tshirt in Orange color. 

Came the day when it was the launch show of movie Trolls, and my wife has a religious annual fasting and said she won't be able to go. I had to convince her that the moon will come late around 10pm that day and movie will end around 930 giving us sufficient time to reach home and do the ceremonies etc. After a lot of convincing, we all reached the venue and took some photos at the photo booth with none other than Khanya Mkangisa. She loved my daughter and shared her photo on her instagram page too. As we took our popcorns, Cadbury's Whispers and Fanta, ofcourse we made our way to the movie hall where to our surprise every seat has A4 envelops underneath our seats. 

 

Soon Khanya introduced the movie and asked us to open our envelops and told that 4 of which has special letter or rewards hidden. As I opened mines, it contained a letter saying that I am a WINNER! I felt so great but didn't know what was the mystery prize. Another icing on the cake, Khanya mentioned is that each and every invitee is a winner as they will all receive a goodies bag at the end of the movie. The movie started after the same with a bang!

Trolls movie was all colorful with hope, dreams, leadership, love and sacrifice. My family thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The movie took its twists and turns as I held my winners letter to my heart. As soon as the movie ended, I rushed towards the door to collect my prize but then I held back as I wanted my daughter to collect my prize. Meanwhile other 2 winners took their prizes and when I reached the third one had a choice to choose between two packets and he chose the bigger looking packet. He was delighted to open the packet and won himself an INSTAX Camera and immediately started taking pictures. 

I had no option as the last sealed packet was mine and the lady said, Congratulations!!! You got a phone! I was overjoyed as I always wanted to win a phone but never ever won so before. It was a Samsung A5 (2016) edition smartphone and I was so happy when I opened it at home. The goodies bag also contained the Camera Lenses (Fish eye, Macro, Landscape) which I always wanted along with 2 cans of Fanta and colored straws. It was a night where all my dreams came true. 

Thanks to Fanta for the invite and meanwhile after a week on Halloween my daughter again received a Princess dress along with a photo frame and 24 cans of Fanta Orange. She was more than happy and enjoyed wearing the dress on her friends birthday. 

I am really grateful to each and every person from Fanta to make #FantaPhotoBomb happen in my life with a bang! I can never forget this experience ever and looking forward to create some more #FantaPhotoBomb expressions and show them on my instagram channel.
