Stationery Review 281 - Ohto Sharp Pencil 2.0 Japan

Hi Friends,

I bought these Ohto Sharp Pencils from the Comic Con Africa 2024 event and really fell in love with their looks and design. These look like real pencils, though they are mechanical pencils. I really loved the colour and golden trims on the pencil. I bought them for ZAR 50 each. 

These are 2.0mm lead pencils, and if you get them, you should definitely buy the same from JetPens or from wherever you can find them.

Stationery Review 279 - Pierre Cardin Steel Pen & Pencil Set

Hi Friends,

I bought these Pierre Cardin Steel Pen and Pencil sets from Goodwill auctions in the USA. I received them as part of a package along with various other products we showcased to you from America. These are really nice-looking pen and pencil sets. They have some weight to them, same as well and look great in your hands. The ball pens are not working, so we will have to find the refills for them. Check them out!

Stationery Review 268 - Kokuyo Enpitsu Sharp (0.3mm) Mechanical Pencils

Hi Friends,

I got these mechanical pencils from my cousin sister, who lives in Japan. Thanks to her for the same, and these were for the kids in my family, but none of them showed any kind of respect to them, so it all came back to me. Here I am, reviewing these pencils for your entertainment and educational purposes. Check it out!

I really loved these Kokuyo mechanical pencils in 0.3mm lead. Though these are lightweight, but need a little bit of care to write with, as the lead breaks immediately if you press a little harder on the page. I also liked the design of these pencils as they look lovely in your hands. Japan has some of the best stationery products in the world and I can't wait to be there to check them in person.

Stationery Review 260 - Parker 51 Mechanical Pencil

Hi Friends, 

I bought this Parker 51 Mechanical Pencil that I had wanted for so long. This is a great design, one with a gold-plated cap and clip. I bought this from an auction for ZAR 700. Check it out! 

This is what we can call luxury by being gold plated with an even number to represent the batch and date, etc, to check on the validity of the same. This is really a great, balanced pencil that I am definitely keeping in my collection of writing instruments. I should name my collection something like lekhni or kalam or something on those lines!

Stationery Review 236 - Camlin Mechanical Pencil 2.0mm (INR 25)

Hi Friends, 

I bought these mechanical pencils when I was in India, and since then, they have been lying around for this video to be recorded. There are so many more stationery items like these that are pending the time I have to grant them. This is really an entry-level pencil that's only ZAR 5 and comes with 3 extra leads of 2B darkness. It comes with an inbuilt sharpener of lead and a small rubber on the back. Check it out!

Stationery Review 224 - Parker Frontier Fountain Pen and Pencil Set (ZAR 200)

Hi Friends, 

I bought this fountain pen and pencil set from Facebook Marketplace, and this one is a Parker Frontier. This used to be an entry-level after the Parker Vector range. The one I got is in a nice, transparent, dark green body design and writes beautifully. 

The new variants of Parker Frontier are not available in South Africa, but I can see them in India at around ZAR 125 for only the fountain pen. It's available in various trims and body colours like brown, red, black, matte black, etc. I am not so sure if it's available at Sandton Stationery & Print, but if you ask them, they can definitely bring it for you. The price might be a little bit higher as these models are long gone in South Africa.

Stationery Review 220 - Bic Pencil Xtra Sparkle Mechanical (0.7mm)

Hi Friends, 

I bought these Bic Pencils in an 8-piece pack in different colours. These are 0.7mm mechanical pencils, and these are really awesome in their white trims. The body colour is metallic and totally desirable for your kids. These come with 2 extra refills each inside the barrel and are available around the world in many different colours. Check them out! 

The lead is really soft and dark. This is a perfect everyday use pencil because it's lightweight and has some fancy coloured bodies. I have used the normal coloured orange ones earlier, way back in London, but this is the first time I have bought them.
