Awesome New Stars Are Shining Bright in @SamsungMobileSA Galaxy #SamsungUnpacked #SamsungEvent

Samsung is known for launching new Galaxy Smartphones every January but this time things changed a little bit as something new wanted to make its debut into the Samsung Mobile World. Behold as the combination of S20 Note and S21 Ultra great features are now combined into a single smartphone which is now called S22 Ultra along with the regular S22 and S22+ which also comes power-packed in all the various departments. New colours are introduced in all the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones and some colours are worth beg, borrow or steal for sure! 

Let's talk about the launch event of 2022 and thanks to an in-person event we get to meet all the other fellow tech journalists and influencers in real life. The venue was grand, the welcome was awesome, the event was fun and above all the new technology introduced was an innovation at its supreme best. 

Along with the launch event, food and drinks there was a helicopter ride of the Steyn City in Johannesburg, South Africa. I got the chance to get on the flight to do so and use the new S22 to take some low light videos. The same is shared on my Instagram channel.  

I have been a fan of the Note series and this one has a Spen just like the Note series hidden inside the smartphone. The touch and feel of the device are enhanced to the topmost premium quality possible. The features are so much that I can continue to write a novel on the same. The white and Burgundy colours are going to be most sold for sure. 

Just look at the powerful camera on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. 40MP selfie camera is never heard before in any Samsung device and with a quad-camera setup, the device features 12MP ultra-wide, 108 MP wide-angle, 10MP 3x optical zoom telephoto camera, and 10MP 10x optical zoom telephoto camera too. The optical image videography is something to look forward to also. It's a device for all vertical format content creators to immediately go on IG reels, YT stories and Tik Tok videos. Even Youtube is definitely achievable without the need of a gimbal but you just need a phone stand and remote will be the Spen to check on all the settings etc. The brightness levels are also increased to 1750 nits in both Ultra and Plus models of S22. With a 5000mAh battery, this can last up to 81 hours as claimed by Samsung and comes with 45W superfast charging too. 

The other Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ feature a 10MP front selfie camera whereas the rear camera is a 12MP ultra-wide, 50MP wide-angle and 10MP telephoto camera with 30x space zoom. S22+ features a 4500mAh battery with 45W superfast charging to last 69 hours whereas S22 has 3700mAh with 25W superfast charging to last 54 hours max. The RAM is 8GB on both these devices with 256GB ROM powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor which is 4nm. 

The price which has been decided by Samsung South Africa during the initial launch offer is S22 Ultra is ZAR 28999 (256GB) comes with Free Galaxy Buds Pro (worth ZAR 3999) during the pre-launch offer. S22 (256GB) is priced at ZAR 19999 and S22+ (256GB) at ZAR 22999 and both comes with a pre-launch offer of Galaxy Buds Live (ZAR 1999). The devices will be available in South Africa from 11 March 2022 onwards and this time they are planning to set up experience zones in various malls.

New Year Resolutions - Week 4 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends, 

Week 4 of January is the month when the mind started to become more and more cluttered as a lot of chaos entered my life during this week. The family planned to go to India and had to do a lot of admin work for the travel requirements during these Covid-19 Onmicron times. I never like doing the paperwork for anything and it's the most fearing factor in my life which I want to run away always. It's true for even submitting medical bills for insurance claims too where money is involved so it's not that I fear the admin work only place where money is not involved. I generally adopt a 2-minute principle to achieve this task to sort out the paperwork and submit 1 bill within the 2 minutes cycle or to print all papers in one go etc. 

Week 4 - 22 Jan 2022 (Sat) to 28 Jan 2022 (Fri)

1. Walking - Walking remains one of the most passionate products but still I was not able to complete the 200k steps as per Samsung Health tracking in the month of Jan 2022 whereas I completed about 105 kilometres in total. This is great since April 2020 when I completed around 180 kilometres in a single month at the start of lockdown. 

2. Launch Events - Huawei Mobiles South Africa launched their Huawei Nova Y9a for ZAR 6499 and the same happened at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Sandton. The goodies received were socks, a diary and a humidifier and grateful to the brand for the same and I have already given them away to my daughter as she wanted to have a bullet journal. 

3. Entertainment - I watched Bhaukaal Season 2 which I really loved because of the acting of the various actors especially the villains in the new web series. The villain brothers in the web series have really brought out the fear factor to the extreme which makes it a powerful performance to watch out for. 

4. Books/Audiobooks - I completed The Steal Like an Artist Audio trilogy of Austin Kleon and also listened to the New One Minute Manager by Spencer Johnson and Ken Blanchard. I would love to own the Austin Kleon books in a paper edition soon as Ali Abdaal also confirmed the same that he reads them in around 20 min each as and when he wants to read them. Even his blog posts are a really good time to spend if you have time. I really liked the idea of Ankur Warikoo in one of his videos where he told that he listens to all the books and then make a conscious decision to buy the physical copy once he likes the audiobook. So far this year, I have found that the Psychology of Money and Austin Kleon books are worth your money for paperback editions. 

5. Family - Reyansh went to India with his mom and maternal grandmother. It's the first time he will be staying there alone without Keisha and me. We are already missing him a lot as he used to keep roaming around the house from one room to another enjoying and entertaining all of us. He is our lifeline for sure and I wish to be him as soon as possible. It also now gives me time to spend a lot of time with Keisha as we go to different food joints around the city every week and have lunch or dinner or make Maggi at home together. My father's health went down really fast due to high blood pressure and strong medications and it was a terrifying experience. We had to plan to bring Reyansh to him so that he can feel fine seeing and playing with him as Shradha and Reyansh were travelling already as it happened. Earlier they intended to stay at Shradha's brother home but then they stayed isolated at my home in case they have caught covid during the long travel time to India in flights. Things are improving now but still on medications at least he is happy to see Reyansh in his naughty avatar now as last he was a small boy of 2 years and now grown up to become 4 years old. He will also celebrate his 4th birthday in India and it will be the first time I will miss his birthday. I have missed Keisha's birthdays and still feel guilty about the same. 

6. Money - This was also the week where I got my monthly cheque from my organisation for the work done in my company for the month of January 2022 which has been hectic throughout for sure. Arigato for all the money that was deposited into my bank account and will be able to bring food and shelter to my family. 

7. General Knowledge - I am a big fan of quiz contests and used to attend a lot of such events in New Delhi whenever I come to know of one. This year I participated in one for my organisation online for a quick test comprised of 30 questions to be completed in 15 minutes. I sailed through the test at the fastest speed possible. I am feeling guilty about not being able to go with my first prompt of knowing that this is the flag of South Korea which I clicked and thought that they must be asking some hard questions and maybe this one will be North Korea flag out of 4 options provided. I should have thought that North Korea will have something of red colour in it for sure whereas the South Korea flag is more white. Moving on from your mistakes and learning from them is one of the best parts of life which I have to implement and Quizzing prepares you for the same. 

8. Social Media Posts - The same was scheduled and going on at the same time every day. It's so relaxing if you have the content scheduled and I plan to adopt the same philosophy for the Youtube and Blog posts too by end of February 2022. Always make a plan to do it and it will bring a lot of consistency in your life and calmness in your mind. To further work on this activity, I can make a calendar where the posts go every few days on YT and blog which concurrently works on the posts well in advance. Currently, I am writing and posting in real-time. So much to learn, explore and execute too. 

Finally, I love writing and connecting the dots every week rather than the yearly ones. Let's see if this is possible in short term to connect the dots or not? New Year Resolutions - Week 3 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends, 

We are in Week 3 for the month of January 2022 and the fast pace execution is slowing down and one-minded concentration is now getting into multiple tasks along the way. This is leading to a kind of irritation along with some of the other life tasks that have now started to emerge. I am sure soon the office is going to be opened and the travel time and other things will need to be aligned for your goals. It's going to be a great year to work on all the productivity strategies. I am going strong in my book reading exercise as I am more focussed on the same but it has impacted the speed of shooting videos for my youtube channel. 

Week 3 - 15 Jan 2022 (Sat) to 21 Jan 2022 (Fri)

1. Walking remained a consistent activity which I did some of the days and completed my quota of 20 kilometres for the week. the same serves me two purposes as I am able to listen to the audiobooks along the way as well and secondly its some time is spent in the fresh air outside and see nature and buildings around my home. 

2. Books/Audiobooks - I spend time reading Do Epic Shit by Ankur Warikoo but didn't like it much other than the last few letters to his kids which are really heartfelt. I don't like the books which turns from blog posts into books as if you have read the same earlier there is no value addition that can come from these books. But I still like his Youtube videos and watch them sometimes on the go. 

3. Launch Events - This week was the first event that I attended for Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator at Design Quarters which was really cool and I got a goodies box that had a small notepad made up of carpet material along with a leather string. Getting ready to go to the event was really good and also I loved some of the snacks there. It also happened on the birthday of my wife so we went to dinner with family after the winner was revealed at the launch event. We also celebrated my son's birthday in his school. 

4. Entertainment - I watched the Dexter: New Blood series of all 8 episodes this week. I have watched Dexter all seasons previously long ago in Johannesburg and it was a good nostalgia to watch it again in a new city and new storyline. All these serials which come after a long gap are just trying to revive the lost fame etc with a new one but all of them fails miserably. And also you will observe it's mostly produced by the main protagonist himself or herself to revive her career if it's not going fine. 

5. Social Media Posts - The scheduling of posts is working better as I am getting some likes along the way but I am not checking them other than some likes here and there. It helps me be consistent on the IG and FB channels so that there is something going on all the time. If there are some comments, I reply immediately. 

6. Daily Prayers - It's been a priority during the past few weeks and I was able to complete 35xYears of Hanuman Chalisa by the end of the week. Still going good in this part of my life. 

7. Review Units - During this week I got some review gadgets which you will see soon enough. I am enjoying them and having fun playing with the same. Soon I will post more images of them on my Instagram handle. Epson Projector and Fujifilm Instax wide link Printer are the two gadgets we are talking about. 

8. Thank You - I completed the 100k count for the month and then took it further till 22300 by the mid of the week but since then I have lost my counter which made this activity bring to a halt. I plan to go and buy the same from China Mall soon. 

9. Investing - I have again started investing to make my money work for me and started investing in Mutual Funds for time being. I have identified 5 companies to invest some money in every month. Let's see how this goes as I start my journey towards financial freedom. I want to have sufficient funds to enjoy my life along with securing the future of my kids from home, education and health perspectives. 

Week 3 has been a good one if I see it now with all these life important tasks getting completed. I am grateful to Universe for helping me design my life the way I want it to be. I wish the same for you! Amen!

New Year Resolutions - Week 2 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends, 

Week 1 was a success in all its ways and as you know the energy is huge at the start and I need to carry out the same throughout the year. Week 2 thankfully continued on the high-spirited self-aware where every minute was costly and planned for. I really loved week 2 overall as I could finish a lot of items which I wanted to do/read/listen etc. 

Week 2 - 8 Jan 2022 (Sat) to 14 Jan 2022 (Fri)

 

1. Walking was still on my mind and I took a giant leap to do it with some days doing more than 6.5kms in one go. It really motivated me to finish the intended 20KM so fast but with some rest, I relaxed too so that the tiredness from walking is divided and have no impact on the coming week.

2. Entertainment - I did watch some movies like Velle and Pushpa and also a web series called Kaun Banegi Shikharwati? starring Lara Dutta, Soha Ali Khan. I really loved Allu Arjun in Pushpa - The Rise. It's really an interesting movie full of action. In future, I plan to do the review posts of all these web series and movies I invest my time in. 

3. Daily Prayers - I was able to complete the 34 Years of Hanuman Chalisa this week and this has been a success in itself as it was only in some days I finished the whole year of chanting. It definitely needs focus, attention and concentration. I felt really happy about it and was at 12500 counts at the end of week 2 on Friday. 

4. Daily Commute - The school also started for Reyansh and Keisha and the daily commute began again to drop and pick them up. Again the division of responsibilities started to emerge else it takes one person's a lot of time which can't be found every day. Also, a lot of petrol station journeys are starting to begin too but that's part and parcel of life. If you have to enjoy life, some charges/rent needs to be considered as a necessity. 

5. Books/Audio Books - I started reading Retire Rich (Invest Rs 40 a day) and finished The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel. It's really a must-read book and I plan to read it in 3 months time again. I also completed listening to The Productivity Project by Chris Bailey. What I have observed is that all the productivity champions these days are telling the same central theme to focus on one thing at a time. 

6. Thank You - I almost finished the week on the verge of completing 100k for the month but delayed it for some days to take it in Week 3 too. As I write this my counter is missing and I am unable to find the same. I will have to make a run to the China Mall this weekend for sure. 

7. Consistency - I posted a daily Facebook post and Instagram feed post on my social media channels and really felt good about it. Consistency is the key and there have been slow and gradual improvements in the rate of engagement and likes are also increasing. 

Affirmations, Meditation and the rest of all the items on the menu took a back seat this week. That's fine as I can always pick them up on this beautiful journey of myself. How are you making your own journey worthwhile? Do leave a comment on any of the social media platforms.
