Hi Friends,

January 2019 was the time when my blog completed 6 years and I made some resolutions at the start of the year. I followed them sincerely and completed many of them. This year January was the time to meet my family and friends in India as I traveled after a gap of 3 years. My MBA friends made it a point to book an Airbnb in New Delhi and relive the moments with each other. It was one of the most relaxing meets of the decade when all of us met after 13 long years under a single roof. Really grateful to all of them.

I don't want to discontinue this series and may introduce some new series this year. I am focussed on the same and I am also doing what I was not doing earlier - reading books and listening to audiobooks in 2020.

5. #Technology and #Children - Can They Go Hand in Hand? #Parenting #6YearsofTheLifesWay - Kids are glued to the mobile and TV screens all the time and I have a lot of old devices that are available to them. Though I don't share my current devices with them at all and my family tries to only use the screen time to see the necessary shows and movies and nothing else. Reyansh sees the nursery poems whenever he is eating food.

I hope 2020 to be a year that will bring me a lot of execution of ideas rather than waiting and procrastinating them for the next years. I plan to start working on my Youtube channel and did some initial study on my holidays in India. I am ready and I can't wait anymore to learn new things in life. Also this year I will turn 40 and the time to research ends and now it's time to implement and discover new strengths.

I have always been a fan of earphones and headphones and since I such a big fan, if I win any of the contests online or offline, the prize will always be some kind of headphones. I attract them into my life and have used numerous earphones/headphones from various brands and continues to consume them at my leisure.

iFrogz brand needs some introduction as I did review one of their products when I first came to South Africa after buying it on sale from Game Store in Rosebank, Johannesburg. At that time I have not used any product from the brand and recently in 2018, I used their wireless Impact earphones which I fell in love with because of their audio quality and ease of use. 

Now I will take you through the new Coda Wireless Headphones + Mic which are On-Ear headphones and are available in different colors - Black, Rose Gold and Blue. Coda Range of products from iFrogz is a mid-range earphones and headphones and is generally available from R499 to R699 in South Africa. I received one black pair of headphones from the brand to review.

Looks and Build Quality - 

The first thing that comes to your mind is the good looks of the products when you spend your hard earned money on anything. If shall be comfortable to wear and easy to carry around. The Coda Wireless Headphones has a nice shiny ear-cups which are reflective and marked with iFrogz logo which looks cool. The leather kind of material has comfortable foam cushion padding. Body of the headphones has plastic covered with soft rubber and a complete rubber underneath. In the price range of R499, I have not seen such good quality product even in Skullcandy, Polaroid and Volkano which have some products available in this price range. This headphones will last long but with all the rubbery kind of products, you have to take extreme care as with time, thing starts to peel off from the plastic. Also the rubber layer underneath can easily come out from the edges if not handled well but that can be redone fast by putting it back into its respective socket. Also the ear-cups remains doesn't turn or fold as the headphones remains in one position only. The packaging of the product is simple with the main headphones and a micro-USB cable along with one manual about the headphones in various languages.

Controls and Comfort - 

The iFrogz Coda Wireless Headphones will fit on your head and being an on-ear headphones with sit on your ear lobes. You can easily walk and jog with them and they will stay there. I find them fitting easily into my head but I could not use them for long as my earlobes started to pain after a while because I wear eyeglasses too and the earlobes gets stuck between the metal of eyeglasses and headphones. But they snug easily and provide some kind of noise isolation too. You can still hear outside noise if not on high volume. But the best part you can easily wear them on your neck and increase the volume to enjoy some music from the speakers and it will also ease some pressure off your earlobes.

The controls are on the right earcup with only 3 buttons to preform all the functions from powering On and Off, bluetooth pairing and call command. The other two buttons is to switch track back/forward button, and volume up and down button. Along with that there is also a 3.5mm jack post to connect your headphones with your devices like iPod etc. Then you have a charging port which can be charged with the supplied cable only as the length of the micro-USB is little bit longer than the regular charging cables you must be having from your smartphones. Built-in Mic is right there besides the 3.5mm jack and power on-off button.

Audio Quality - 
Coming to the most important aspect of sound for which all the earphones and headphones are designed, iFrogz Coda Wireless headphones has solid specification with 40mm drivers, resistance 32Ohms, sensitivity 100dB at 1Khz ImW with the frequency range from 20Hz to 20kHz. The built in battery provides around 7hours of non-stop music and a standby time of 3 hours. Charging time to charge the headphones fully is around 2.5 hours.

The audio quality produced by these headsets is more towards bass and 40mm drivers produces dynamic sound. The quality at this price point is one of the best for bass lovers. It's definitely not much like Skullcandy and Beats but works well at low and medium tones.

Overall if you are in the market for a value for money headsets, you can definitely buy them at the MRP else you can wait for some higher priced products to go on sale when they launch their next versions of the series. I have used the images of the products from the website of Zagg - iFrogz.

Product Review - @iFrogz Impulse Wireless Earbuds @ZAGGdaily #SoundOfFreedom

Earphones and Headphones are the requirements of the each and every one of us, and it's something that will never cease to build and will always be the topic of any debate. Which sounds better? What's style suits me better? What is the latest innovation in Noise-isolation or cancellation? Can I attach them to my smartphone using Bluetooth or 3.5mm jack via Type-C USB port? Smartphone manufactures always face this dilemma to keep this or take it out? I love headphones and earphones and have been following the journey of headphones from many brands.

iFrogz needs no introduction, and I have used some of the headphones from the brand earlier, and this time it was time to check out Impulse Wireless Premium Audio Wireless Earbuds. Wireless earbuds give you a great convenience to be wire-free and listen to your favourite songs and attend calls on the go. Impulse Wireless Earbuds comes with a wireless clip which has inbuilt mic and remote for all the general features. 

The feel-good factor comes from its aluminium earbuds construction which helps to enhance audio performance with its acoustic chambers. The whole assembly is made of 4 components starting from the main acoustics chamber to the waterproof membrane and rear echo membrane to front echo chamber. This reflective acoustics construction of the earbuds is very much similar to human hearing to give us advance audio sound. That was the first feature I recognised as soon as I connected them to my smartphone, the audio was incredibly significant, and Bluetooth connectivity took less than a second.

Acoustics is nothing without the drivers to push sound through, and the iFrogz Impulse earbuds have 11mm neodymium drivers to deliver rich, natural and accurate tonal balanced sound. I loved wearing them while watching movies or listening to Bollywood music. It gives that extra clarity and surrounds sound effect which I really loved during my use of these wireless earbuds. I liked my favourite songs even further on this wireless earbuds. The call had clear audio, and another person was able to listen to my voice even when I was talking in whispering volume. But how do you identify which side is the up and down button? For that Zagg's iFrogZ Impulse clip has raised bump button for upside and recessed groove button for the downside of the wireless hub, which makes it easy to listen to your favourite music even in the dark.

 

Another unique feature about this iFrogz Impulse Earbuds is the clip which has a magnetic storage clip at one end which has two benefits. You can quickly put them around your clothes, and it stays there due to the strong magnetic field. Secondly, the wires of both the earbuds can be revolved around the magnetic clip and secured while you carry them.

The general controls are like any other Bluetooth - long press to play next, or previous songs on the left and right buttons and the single click will reduce and increase the volume, centre button long pushes to switch ON the device, single press pauses and play the song alternatively along with answering the call and ending the call.  The resistance of earbuds is 16 Ohms with the frequency range from 20Hz to 20KHz and sensitivity of 100dB. The cable length is 35cm which can really help you to wear it around your neck too. The package contains Impulse Wireless earbuds, micro USB charging cable, 3 pairs of silicon ear tips and 3 pairs of noise-isolating ear tips. The packaging is beautiful and offers a sneak peak if you open the front cover of the package.

The battery inside Impulse wireless earbuds is able to carry you for around 4-5 hours continuously and charges 100% in about an hour. Red LED indicator switches off when it's fully charged and generally while Bluetooth is ON, it flashes blue light. Also, if you put the charging cable when the device was being played, it immediately switches off the earbuds and restarts from the same point where your song was.


Overall, it reminds me of the Sony MW600 which was my companion in London, but now the clip has broken, so I can't use it anymore unless I am making something Bluetooth connected. The audio quality is definitely for my liking, and I have played various genres of music and totally loved them all on this IFROGZ Impulse Wireless Earbuds. Go check and buy them out!

Product Review - Ronin Stereo Headphones Earpollution by ifrogz

Hi Guys,

In my pursuit of perfect sound and my undivided attention towards earphones and headphones, I came across Earpollution by iFrogz Ronin Stereo Headphones at GAME store in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

 The reviews on the internet was not so great about these headphones so I thought for a day or so before purchasing them but the deal that I got from GAME was worth it to make the right decision.

 The headphones looks really nice and produces decent sound with it's 50mm driver unit. This helps to produce sound with clear sound with crisp treble. Overall these produce balanced sound for your music and movie pleasures. The impedance of the headphones is 32Ohms and the cable is tangle free because of it's thick covering.

 The best things about these headphones is it's foldable design along with rotational speakers with spring action. Also the headphones is made of good quality plastic material and doesn't feel cheap from any angle. The earcups covers yours ears completely and comfortable to wear.

I was using these headphones to listen to some of my favourite songs and came across some of the low notes in the background which I have never listened to earlier. I really loved the headphones so much that immediately asked my another friend to buy the white version of the same for his day to day use.

The only thing that I didn't liked about the headphones is that it keep slipping from your head if not set properly. Otherwise these are really wonderful product by iFrogz which has been taken over by Zagg.
Zagg is a front runner in making cases and accessories for all of the Apple products. I have never used their products earlier but always wanted to have some.
