New Year Resolutions - Week 13 Achievements & Failures in 2023 #TheLifesWay

Hi Guys,

Week 13 also went strongly into watching many movies and web series on a mission as if I have to complete them on a priority. I did this sometimes to complete which have been pending to be watched and then don't care anything for the next few months. I don't have the discipline to watch a single episode per day and make a schedule, but this can be my goal in the coming months.

1. Entertainment - I started with John Wick 4 that I really loved and had to go through the storyline once again to understand the same. I also watched United Kacche Season 1 starring Sunil Grover and totally loved the same. It's definitely a watch if you want to enjoy some comedy. Then I went on to watch Pop Kaun Season 1 starring Kunal Khemu, Nupur Sanon and all the biggest stars of Bollywood comedy. It's also the last web series of Late Sh Satish Kaushik who died just before the release of this web series on Disney+ Hotstar. It was a difficult series to watch as there was no logic in the story as they kept running from one end to another in search of the father of the lead character.
New Year Resolutions - Week 13 Achievements & Failures in 2023 #TheLifesWay
2. Thank You - This week I progressed really well on the count I started from 11500 to reach the 61000 mark to finish this week. I am sure that you are also following this habit. The more powerful exercise is to do the affirmations on a daily basis.
3. No Salary - This is the first time in the last many years that I have not received my monthly salary. This has been a little bit difficult as now you have to dig into your savings if any towards doing all the expenses for the month. I could have saved a lot of tension if I could have planned the closure of the bank account better. I have closed on all my regular bills that I really don't want that are not adding to my life. There is a lot of dependence on the monthly salary and it really makes your risk-taking capability less and puts you into a comfort zone. I definitely need to come out of my comfort zone for sure in the coming days. May Almighty Lord Shiva grant me the courage to break away. Aum Namah Shivay! Har Har Mahadev!
4. Events - I attended Homefair Expo, Buy Local Summit as well as a YouTube Shorts virtual event. This is really a nice thing as I get to meet a lot of new people and get new opportunities to review products that I have never done on my Youtube channel. This is going to be good as my channel will have diverse videos so that people can know about some of the brands that I was also not aware of.
5. Brands - There are millions of brands in the markets around Planet Earth and it's not possible to know them all. We all know some of the local brands around our city or country and some of the expensive ones that we aspire to own or dream about. I have now tried to acquire some of the items that I have never received earlier. I am now introducing all those brands in my unboxing videos or doing some of their product reviews with a little bit of history about the brand.
The first 3 months of the year 2023 are already finished this week. Whatever you intend to do this year, start your engines firing towards them for sure. I am looking forward to the same as well so that I can achieve what I thought about my goals and dreams. I am sure with the power of my dreams I can too fly towards them. Har Har Mahadev!
Aum Namah Shivay!

Till next time...Aashish
Thanks! Cheers!!!

New Year Resolutions - Week 10 Achievements & Failures in 2023 #TheLifesWay

Hi Guys,

Week 10 started with revising the old Prison Break series starting right from the first season and going till Season 4 till the end of the week. As you know once you start watching Prison Break you definitely can't stop thinking about what's going to happen next and the same happened to me even after watching the first season way back in 2009 for the first time.

1. Entertainment - Prison Break Season 1/2/3/4 all I watched continuously on the streaming platform called Disney Plus. The only thing I missed was the speed of play still on the app is missing. It meant that I will sit through the whole episode for the full time it's streamed. But this series is still worth your time if you have never seen it before.
New Year Resolutions - Week 10 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay #2023
2. Thank You - I only did around 14k count during this week. I felt amazingly great to be doing so and starting this habit once again. This habit has helped me in the law of attraction and The Secret movie ecosystem. I have got what I wanted using this practice if I have sincerely done it.

3. Eating Trip - We went to Laudium to eat dosa at Vimalraj after a gap of around 2 months. Every time you go you definitely enjoy the long drive as well as the food at the end of the trip. The previous week also ended with a dinner at Taste of Punjab in Sunninghill. The taste so far in this restaurant is good but sometimes due to the amount of crowd that this place sees the taste goes down making me go and visit some other restaurants as well.
Many times in my life I have seen that the time when my focus needs to be on a single thing to concentrate, I get digressed. Just like this week, I had a General Knowledge quiz competition that I wanted to win. Last few months I prepared for the same and this week when it was happening, I wasted my time in Prison Break. I did get the second prize but that was not meant to be I wanted to be the topper in the quiz and I could have become the winner easily as I knew most of the answers but somehow didn't take risks at the right moment.
I have not learned from my previous mistakes as well and this has happened again and again in my life. I am surely dumb in terms of where to take risks and where not. It really hurt me and where I could answer and where I did wrong kept haunting me for the next coming weeks. There is a quote in hindi, Ab pachtaye hot kya jab chidiya chug gayi khet - In English it meant why to cry over the spilled milk?

Aum Namah Shivay!

Till next time...Aashish
Thanks! Cheers!!!

New Year Resolutions - Week 45 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

Hi Guys,

Week 45 - Sat 05 Nov 2022 - Fri 11 Nov 2022

Week 45 is also focused on completing all the pending tasks for the year and enjoying the journey too. I am so grateful to everyone for reading all these blog posts. Do let me know what inspiration you have taken from them?

1. Daily Walking - I have picked up pace this week also and completed 848km of my journey towards the 1000km mark and clocked 26.27km this week. This is despite the fact that I took rest for 2 days on the weekends due to extensive walking in the previous week. The deadline towards the goals is the best motivator if your intent is to complete the same task within the same timelines.

New Year Resolutions - Week 45 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

2. Launch Events - I attended the Samsung Innovation invite at the Johannesburg Head Office where they introduced us to their upcoming technology and other innovative products line up in 2023. There was a TV which cost around 2.5-3 Million ZAR and it will be worth watching the same once it comes to reality in South Africa. After the same, I went to the Dell Tech Forum which I only reached when it was almost finished and got some goodies despite reaching super late. The video of the goodies received is here -

3. Product Reviews - I received the second version of the Instax Mini Link 2 Smartphone Printer and this one is the best if you want to buy for your portable Instax photo prints on the go. I also got some other products to review that will be done in future.

4. Entertainment - I watched a new web series on the Disney Plus streaming platform called Save Our Squad with David Beckham which features a small team from the bottom of the charts and with his guidance reaches the first half of the points table.

5. Healthy Living - Using the daily Iron tablets and taking the other medicines has definitely started to show some impact on the overall motivation and energy levels. You shall definitely take something to keep your energy levels up. When the body is not able to produce a lot of vitamins from general food habits then it's good to take multivitamins from time to time but under the supervision of a Doctor. You can't take anything just like that as it can lead to some problems in your kidneys and other organs.

Overall Week 45 is something that is keeping me towards all my goals for the year that I set at the start of the year. I feel great as I read a lot of books, listened to a lot of audiobooks, watched a lot of YouTube videos, a lot of web series and movies, subscribed to Skillshare, getAbstract and so many great platforms that kept on my learning levels high. I want to take it further up in 2023 and use some of these platforms a lot more than I did in 2022. getAbstract is special because it saves me a lot of time and gives me the best synopsis or summary or gist of all the books and even articles in an audio or pdf format for me to go through at my convenience. I am really invested in getabstract for making a better choice of books and learnings.

Cheers!!!

New Year Resolutions - Week 35 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends,

Week 35 - Sat 27 Aug 2022 - Fri 02 Sep 2022

Week 35 will complete the month of August 2022 which has seen a lot of new smartphones and so many new gadgets getting launched in South Africa. I am so grateful for this week as I came across various new stuff which made its way into my life unexpectedly. You never know what randomness in your life can bring you the results you always desired for yourself. Keep your curiosity levels high always and keep exploring friends!!!

1. Entertainment - I watched the Season 2 of Maharani and fell in love again with the acting of Huma Qureshi and started watching Season 3 of Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach which now is coming as a weekly episode and it's really irritating but watching is only due to Pankaj Tripathi. I don't like to wait for the same so thought that The House of Dragons I will watch only in a single go. I will keep watching Criminal Justice and The Rings of Power every Friday along with She-Hulk on Disney+ to make it a fun weekend. I also watched the HIT: The First Case movie and found it to be a total waste of time as I have already seen the original South Indian movie in the Telugu language on Amazon Prime Video.

2. Walking - I completed 678.5 kilometres against the target of 700 kilometres. There is a gap of 21.5 kilometres and I am starting to get tired in my target but with Ensure Vanilla flavoured drink, I plan to get the energy levels high again to complete my target of 1000 kilometres by 31 Dec 2022. This week I did my first 10 kilometres at the SA motoring festival and my heart rate reached 200 after which I had to take a whole day of rest and sleep. Keep your heart rate measured and take proper rest to not let it reach those dangerous points.
New Year Resolutions - Week 35 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay
3. Launch Events - I went to attend the iStore Meets at the GIBS campus and took a sunset photograph which they loved and sent me their campus hoodie along with a selfie light. Many thanks to them. Also, I attended the Nikon South Africa event where I got the Refuse camera shoulder bag for the daily carry of my Canon M50 camera with Rode VideoMic and Joby Gorillapod 3k Kit for all my video needs. I also attended the YouTube Shorts Coffee meet where they announced the closure of #GivemeYourBestShort trend and also told me that they are going to send some personalized goodies our way. I am eagerly waiting for my second YouTube package to arrive. Check out the other videos below and enjoy!
4. Thank You - I completed the 100k mark this month twice so doubly grateful that I could do that. I need to buy more counters from China Mall as I keep losing them or sometimes they stop working if fallen on the ground. I took the counter again to 12000 and then back to zero and again to 2600 to close the week. If I get time I will calculate if I have crossed the 1Million ThankYou mark I set to do in this year.
5. YouTube Earnings - I completed a complete month of YouTube monetisation this month and still the same videos are contributing towards the daily cents that are coming my way. In total, I earned USD 34.75 in the month of August-2022. I still am in search of a video which has to go viral to take my subscriber base into 5 figures and maybe then I can earn more than 100 dollars a month.

Other than that I have several pending actions which are only written in the Bullet Journal but never got completed pending LIC premium payment, booking/checking Honda Civic service and all the pending video reviews of several gadgets I own. Getting into focus and staying there is the only superpower you should aim for. It should be like that you can switch it On in a pinch or clap. I am definitely aiming for this superpower in my life.

Cheers!!!

New Year Resolutions - Week 31 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends,

This week will mark the end of July-22 and the start of a new month August 2022 to take my YouTube journey further and also do a series of blog posts which are pending for a long. I am also going to focus on the social media post-scheduling soon which I have missed for the past few weeks.

Week 31 - Sat 30 Jul 2022 - Fri 05 Aug 2022

1. Thank You - The week started from 30501 onwards to reach 62222 counts. I am really grateful that I have started doing the same. I feel really grateful whenever I do this activity sincerely.

2. Walking - This week I only did around 11 kilometres so the overall kilometres could only reach 603 kilometres whereas the total target for Week 31 should have been 620 kilometres. It's fine as I know that I will achieve the desired number very soon and also there is a gap of 2 weeks as the overall target is 1000 kilometres for this year. It seems really easy but it is not as sometimes I have to push myself out of my slumber to walk and once after the initial 2 kilometres the rest of 3 is easy to cover.

3. Entertainment - I started watching Da Vinci's Demons Season 2 and 3 and finished them during the weekend itself on the streaming platform named Disney+. I also completed the first 7 episodes of Only Murders in the Building Season 2 also on Disney+. The mystery deepens in this season and the triplets are still trying to find the murderer along with the introduction of some new characters in this season.
New Year Resolutions - Week 31 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay
4. Audiobooks - I am still listening to The Mind of a Consultant even so that I did reach ahead but then went back to the same point as I lost what was being told as I was not able to concentrate on the content. I got a membership to Sandton Library and got my Library card made too but have not borrowed any books so far. I did check some books on the Libby app where you can borrow ebooks and audiobooks online on the smartphone app. What a great way to enjoy books!

5. Social Media Posts - I have scheduled all the posts till the month of August for my videos to go onto Facebook as well. This is my way of saying Thanks to Facebook for their services to us all these years. Also, it will be putting eggs into different baskets in case any tower falls in the long term. I am trying to talk to various experts in the field as to how can I monetize more of my posts on various platforms.

I am really grateful that my first month of July 2022 with YouTube ended with my total income crossing USD 25 for the first time ever in the last 10 years of me doing content creation. I am now looking forward to matching or beating the first month's revenue in August 22. I am seeing that most of the heavy lifting is being done by 4-5 videos only and the rest are all relaxing in the background. Will investigate the reasons and may start doing blog posts around them so that some kind of backlinks can be generated toward those videos.

Cheers!!!
