New Year Resolutions - Week 12 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends,

A quarter of the Year 2022 is almost over and it's time now to look at things from a quarterly perspective there will be a post on the same too but let's focus on what I did in Week 11 where I had a lot of failures for sure as I focussed on playing with Reyansh as he came back from India after 2 months or so.

Week 12 - 19 Mar 2022 (Sat) to 25 Mar 2022 (Fri)

1. Walking - I didn't go on a daily walk for most of the week and could only achieve 16.4 Kilometers this week for the 3 days I went. I could not go on Friday as I went to a birthday party with family. The overall counter still stands around 260+ kilometres in 12 weeks (Target 240 kilometres) so far so I have something of a buffer to don't think much about these little failures.

2. Thank You - I completed the 100k Thank You counter for the month and this time it went from 0 to 100k all the way without any reset or something. I am really grateful to Ken Honda for this task that I really enjoy doing.

3. Audiobooks - I completed Chris Bailey's Hyperfocus: how to work less and achieve more and this has been my 15th book so far in 3 months. I really loved reading all these books rather than listening to them during my walks. Some of them I will revisit in printed editions or on kindle a little later or can refer to them again and again in the coming days for sure. I started listening to Blinkist but didn't find that platform to be much interesting as it's someone's summary or understanding of the book. I started listening to Chris Voss - Never Split The Difference which is really something of a lifelong goal for me too. This is one of the books I would want to buy in real life too and keep it with me all the time.

New Year Resolutions - Week 12 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay
4. Entertainment - The only entertainment I had was making the Lego Star Wars - 75242 - Black Ace TIE Interceptor up to the level that I spent the Monday afternoon building it from scratch to finish. It was my first time ever with the Lego blocks and I received them from the NAG team. I built it to the level that at the end of the making process my left-hand thumb was bleeding from the side as I put a lot of pressure to put blocks in place. It's still hurting and a lesson learnt that you have to take care of your hands while building small lego pieces.

5. Daily Prayers - This week was a failure for daily prayers as I didn't do them for at least 5 days and this is really sad. I have to find time to complete my daily prayers and also Shradha bought some new idols from India and I totally loved them. I was using one idol of Lord Hanuman from Archies gallery which Keisha gifted me way back in 2010 before I went to London and this has been with me for so many years.

6. Social Media - I continued to schedule the posts on my Instagram and Facebook pages but did not get enough response. I am posting on the channels on a daily basis and let's continue to build it for the whole year and work on the power of consistency. I also have to find some time to create more photo posts from all the photos I have taken over the years. My youtube channel also completed 5000 hours of Youtube watch lifetime which is really great and I am thankful to everyone who watches my content.

I enjoyed a lot of sweets and things that came from India via Shradha and Reyansh. I also bought a lot of goodies from Amazon.in and Isha Yoga and also those will be unboxed on my youtube channel soon. I have plenty of things that will help me create so many more videos in years to come.

Cheers!!!

Samsung’s Latest #Monitors Have South Africa’s Media Captivated @SamsungSA #GamingMonitors

Hi Friends,

Samsung’s Smart Monitor line-up effortlessly impresses those in search of enhanced productivity and an immersive entertainment experience. South Africa’s media have responded as enthusiastically to the many display sizes and design options, along with new and enhanced smart features and overall value. Various media outlets have reviewed different Samsung monitors including the M5 Smart Monitor, the Odyssey G9 Gaming Monitor and the Curved Gaming Monitor – with glowing reviews.

Gavin Dudley from Tech Magazine says the Samsung M5 Smart Monitor is a hit product this year. Combining a computer monitor and a TV in one device, the M5 Smart Monitor, meets two needs. Firstly, you can make efficient use of space and money by combining a workstyle and a lifestyle appliance in one compact gadget. Gavin believes that makes it ideal for the South African market. Second, it doubles as a versatile visual hub for managing the growing number of online services and smart home devices. As it is, the M5 Smart Monitor costs a little more than a big monitor, and a little less than an entry-level TV which he believes is exactly in the sweet spot for this popular product category in South Africa.

Aashish Rai with Grant Hinds at Samsung S22 Launch Event
For Grant Hinds, the well-known gamer and content creator every single frame of a competitive TV game matters. This is why he made a carefully calculated decision when he chose the Samsung Curved Gaming Monitor. Speed, performance and essential details like 240Hz caught the attention of this passionate gamer. He believes the impressive refresh rate on the Samsung Curved Gaming Monitor is a big tick box for any gamer looking for that competitive edge. With many local gamers demanding exceptional immersion, performance, image quality and industry defining visual design, Grant says they need look no further than the Samsung Curved Gaming monitor.

Also an avid gamer, lifestyle and technology Blogger/Youtuber Aashish Rai was drawn to the Samsung Odyssey G9 Gaming Monitor. He says this monitor is just like its namesake - a long series of adventures waiting for you to celebrate. Aashish believes Samsung's 49-inch curved monitor offers the incredible resolution South Africans want. He was impressed by the 240hz refresh rate and infinity core lights on the back, which provides stunning RGB effects “to make everyone watching you jealous to the core.”
This is my unboxing video of the same and I totally fell in love with the display and wants it to be in my life always going forward! I am looking forward to earning some money to buy the same from Samsung Online Store in South Africa.

With those in the know finding so many reasons to enjoy the Samsung monitor line-up, South Africans have more reason than ever to explore the range and find the perfect monitor for work and play. Find out more about the Samsung Monitor line-up here.

Cheers!!!

Huawei's First Foldable Smartphone #HUAWEIP50Pocket Brings Premium In Your Hands @HuaweiZA

Hi Friends,

The latest smartphones from the international technology giant Huawei are here, and they are here to impress. The HUAWEI P50 Pocket Premium Edition and HUAWEI P50 Pro are now available in South Africa and have to be seen and experienced to be believed.
Huawei's First Foldable Smartphone #HUAWEIP50Pocket Brings Premium In Your Hands @HuaweiZA
The HUAWEI P50 Pocket Premium Edition: Innovation at its best
The HUAWEI P50 Pocket Premium Edition breaks the mould in terms of traditional smartphone design in that it enables seamless folding. It’s Huawei’s very first horizontally folding smartphone and boasts an all-new multi-dimensional hinge that enables the HUAWEI P50 Pocket Premium Edition to fold seamlessly in half, while still being ultra-slim and lightweight. Since the hinge is made of ultra-high-strength steel, you also don’t have to worry about its durability.

The HUAWEI P50 Pocket Premium Edition sets the bar high for HUAWEI IMAGE TM. All the technical breakthroughs debuted in the HUAWEI P50 Pro (more on that below) are featured in the HUAWEI P50 Pocket Premium Edition, too. Its camera system comprises a 40MP True-Chroma camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 32MP ultra-spectrum camera, a 10-channel multi-spectrum sensor and an ultra-spectrum illuminator. The HUAWEI P50 Pocket Premium Edition also features the True-Chroma Image Engine and HUAWEI XD Optics, like the HUAWEI P50 Pro. All of these features come together to create images that are true-to-life and rich in detail.

While taking selfies with the HUAWEI P50 Pocket Premium Edition, you can take advantage of the powerful main camera for the best-looking shots. The rear camera portrait selfie algorithms boost low-light performance and preserve details and skin textures. You also get highly accurate, built-in beautification features that make sure everyone always looks good, yet still natural.

When you unfold the HUAWEI P50 Pocket Premium Edition, an immersive 6.9-inch fully flat screen welcomes you, one that has a high refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 300Hz.

The HUAWEI P50 Pocket Premium Edition smart cover screen displays notifications, schedule, calendar, music, weather and the camera, and is interactive. It can also be customised through a variety of themes.

The HUAWEI P50 Pro: A flagship smartphone in every way
When it comes to its camera and aesthetic, the HUAWEI P50 Pro, Huawei’s flagship smartphone, is second to none. Its True-Form Dual-Matrix Camera system comprises a powerful main camera matrix and a superzoom matrix that provide lifelike imagery with extreme clarity and high dynamic range. The hardware is enhanced with the HUAWEI XD Optics and HUAWEI XD Fusion Pro Image Engine, which ensures brighter, high-resolution images and greater detail.

The periscope zoom lens on the HUAWEI P50 Pro also has an incredible 100x zoom with a total zoom range of up to 200x when used in conjunction with the wide-angle and periscope lens. The smartphone also supports 4K video recording from both the front and rear cameras.

The HUAWEI P50 Pro fares well in the design department. Its Dual-Matrix camera design looks stunning and makes the HUAWEI P50 Pro instantly recognisable. The 3D curved screen supports HDR and the full P3 colour gamut, delivering a stunning visual experience. It also has a 120Hz refresh panel with a 300Hz touch sampling rate, providing a smoother display and faster response time.

Another great feature of the HUAWEI P50 Pro is its battery. Powering the HUAWEI P50 Pro is a massive 4360mAh battery that supports 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge and 50W Wireless HUAWEI SuperCharge for quick and effortless charging.

The HUAWEI P50 Pocket Premium Edition and the HUAWEI P50 Pro both run on EMUI 12, which offers a straightforward, smooth, safe and reliable user experience for working, studying, gaming, entertainment and video editing. It also enables the seamless control of multiple devices through its Super Device feature. Simply select the Device+ tab in the control panel and set up multi-device collaboration with other devices, such as the HUAWEI FreeBuds, MatePad and MateBook.

The HUAWEI P50 Pocket Premium Edition and the HUAWEI P50 Pro will be available for pre-order from 22 March 2022. Go to the Huawei Store (Online) for more information.

Cheers!!!

New Year Resolutions - Week 11 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends,

Week 11 too was more about entertainment and binge-watching on Netflix and other streaming platforms. There was a lot of new movies addition on Netflix and I was glued to the platform somehow and watched all the content at the regular speed for a change wasting a lot of time. It was definitely a test of patience for some of the content which I could have skipped at 1.5x or more speeds on the smartphone app. I am not so sure which buttons to press to change the playing speed on Smart TV or maybe the app on my TV is not updated as yet. Let me try that on Samsung M7 Smart Monitor and revert to you next week.

Week 11 - 12 Mar 2022 (Sat) to 18 Mar 2022 (Fri)

1. Entertainment - I watched the movie Badhaai Do starring RajKummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar on Netflix and totally loved watching the same. I watched another South Korean movie named The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure which is just a time pass and nothing fancy about the same and you can avoid it too. Then I went on to watch The Adam Project again on Netflix starring Ryan Reynolds, Zoe Saldana, Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner. This movie is really interesting and one time watch for sure. You will enjoy the acting of the little kid in the movie played by Walker Scobell. I watched Dolittle with my daughter and we totally loved the same starring Robert Downey Jr. It's a must-watch movie with your little ones also available on Netflix. I watched the new Spiderman: No Way Home movie also after such a long wait and totally loved the same. Overall, it was an entertaining week for sure with so many movies watched back to back.

2. Launch Event - I attended the virtual launch event of Awesome Samsung Galaxy A event where they launched Samsung A33 and A53 smartphones for the price-conscious markets. The same day we saw the launch of Huawei foldable devices named Huawei P50 Pocket which is really amazing and a grand event was planned for the same at Sun Arena Times Square Casino in Pretoria. I received some awesome goodies from both the events which you can see the videos on my Youtube channel if interested.

3. Walking - This week I walked the most in a single go which was around 8.6 kilometres which I have not done so far earlier in this year. I used to walk 15 kilometres regularly but after Covid times this was the first time ever to do anything more than 8 kilometres. I completed the intentional 20 kilometres for this week easily and the next week will be a task as the family is coming back to Joburg and will be hectic for some days initially to leave Reyansh behind and not play with him and invest time in walking.

4. Thank You - I completed around 49000xThank You during this week as the timer got reset due to falling on the ground and restarted again from zero. It's good that I have already completed 100k for this month but carrying on on a daily basis. I intend to be more grateful all the time but it's a difficult task to do and be in a state of gratefulness all the time. Let's continue our focus on becoming the same and it will also be achieved soon as we are just on Week 11 which is around 1/4 of the year and soon by the end of Mar-22 it will be week 13. Let's add up the numbers then.

New Year Resolutions - Week 11 Achievements & Failures #TheLifesWay

5. Audiobooks - I started another audiobook after many deliberations and took some rest also from the books. I thought of listening to Chris Bailey's Hyperfocus: how to work less and achieve more and it's a 6hr 40 minutes long book. I am finding the same interesting and this will require a relisten or reading a printed book for sure.

6. Daily Prayers - I completed 14000 x Hanuman Chalisa during this week which is a significant achievement from where I started some months back. The power of dedicated efforts slowly and steadily can help you achieve a lot more if you remain consistent. The overall count towards 42 years is now less than 1400xHanuman Chalisa which I am tracking as I wanted to have it around 1000 by the end of Mar-22.

7. Social Media - I am consistently posting on FB/IG on a daily basis and sometimes on Youtube and Blog posts. I am okay with the frequency and maybe instead of pressing the publish button, I can streamline the schedule. It will definitely help me achieve the success I am looking for in social media platforms. I am feeling like I need to take a break from this for some time now and enjoy the time in some activities that fetches me money rather than a goodies bag which these days are not worthwhile. If you look at the quality of goodies Huawei is giving in their events, it has significantly dropped from what they used to offer. I have even received a Mont Blanc Leather Card keeper from them at one of the events which were for the Mate series of smartphones. If you think that from the goodies bag, a person can earn some money then it's a thought that needs introspection and investigation for sure.

The Youtube subscribers count is only going on a snail's pace with 1 addition on some days and sometimes 1 reduction too and I am losing interest too now. I am not sure what kind of videos I shall make but I will continue to change and revive the thing I am doing using all means I have available. Let's see if I will hit the 1000 mark by 31 March 2022 or it will be on 30-Apr-2022 the time will tell? Till that time - keep working on your goals all the time.

Cheers!!!
