A Memoir - This Month Last Year - Jan 2021 www.thelifesway.com #TheLifesWay

Hi Friends,

January is generally known to be a Galaxy month where a new smartphone from Samsung comes to the market and last year Galaxy S21 was launched and I was using the same till the end of the year courtesy Samsung South Africa. As the smartphone goes back to the company, I am missing the powerful camera on the S21 series has and mind you that I am not even talking about the S21 Ultra. Let's forget about these memories as the new smartphone is in the pipeline by Samsung this season and I am hoping for the best.

1. @SamsungSA Introduces Latest Innovations for A Better Normal #CES2021 - CES 2021 happened and it showcased some of the latest innovations by Samsung Electronics. CES 2022 is currently going on and I could not put effort to check what's happening this time around and maybe check it on the weekend to catch up with all the latest technology released to the market.

2. @SamsungSA Sets New Standard for Flagship Mobile Processors #Exynos2100 #CES2021 #ExynosOn #Exynos_is_back - Exynos is the silicon chip made for the future and will continue to power and guide the smartphones in 2022 also on some of the Samsung Smartphones which will be revealed in 2022 and going further into the future.

3. Premium Comes Standard with World’s First QLED #GalaxyChromebook2 @SamsungSA #CES2021 - Chromebook 2 was also launched last year but never made it to the African markets as far as I know.

One of the photos taken using Samsung Galaxy S21 Smartphone

4. Meet @SamsungMobileSA #GalaxyBudsPro: Epic Sound for Every Moment #SamsungUnpacked - This is the best audio wireless earbuds that produces such great sound that you will fall in love immediately. I totally loved them when I used them and my review is also here in case you want to check and read.

5. Make Every Day Epic with @SamsungMobileSA #GalaxyS21 #GalaxyS21Plus #SamsungUnpacked - Samsung S21 series is something I totally adored and fell in love with because of the camera quality in point-and-shoot mode also. I never do any kind of editing on my photos and everything you see is just directly coming out of the device and my Instagram has images from the Galaxy S21 model mostly in 2021. Check out the review of the Galaxy S21 on my blog post.

I only did 8 posts in Jan 2021 and some of them are produced here. The wisdom to write more and more of my personal content has come to me in 2022. Just copy-pasting Press Releases is not going to benefit me as I am at the mercy of brands in hope that they will send me something or will invite me to their launch events etc. At the end of the year, I am not even getting any sponsored posts nor any gifts from them so why waste time promoting their posts. Hence, fewer brands, fewer press releases unless it's a trade exchange or sponsored posts, more collaborative posts, analysis posts and self-written content. I am sure you will like the idea. I will do all kinds of comparative posts based on the knowledge I have about all the gadgets and new products specifications. Happy New Year 2022 once again to all my readers!

Cheers!!!

The Perfect Sound With Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro @SamsungMobileSA #GalaxyBudsPro #ProductReview

Hi Friends,

Samsung Galaxy BudsPro is the latest earbuds that were launched in January-2021 after Samsung Galaxy Buds Live launched in August 2020 and Samsung went back to the In-Ear design though the square charging case remains the same. The main colour is now Phantom Violet to meet the latest Galaxy S21 series along with Phantom Black and Phantom Silver. The glossy earbuds look amazingly beautiful indeed and people will be able to recognize your earbuds brand in a single glance. The first thing that hits you is the clarity of audio and the immersion into the music you love to listen to, I got impressed with these ones as soon as I played my first few Bollywood songs. Since then I have been using these Buds Pro in all my daily meetings, audiobooks listening along with unlimited watching of web series and Youtube videos. I can even say these are one of the best in the market at the moment and will continue to beat the upcoming ones because of their audio performance as well as various features like ANC, ambient noise and equalizers.

A close look at the earbuds will make you fall in love with the design that has both bling as well as simplicity to get things done. The silicon isolation has a fine mesh to keep dirt away just before the metallic mesh on earbuds. Silicon has an inbuilt socket so that it fits nicely and doesn't get lost like we see in other earbuds from other manufacturers. Left and Right earbuds are marked with Letters L and R. There are two sensors visible on the outside of the earbuds along with 2 meshes of speakers along with 2 pins to charge the earbuds. Earbuds stem is inclined towards the ear canals to make them fit perfectly in your ears. There is only one problem with any earbuds like these if your charging case is not working there is no other option to charge them or if you lost them then the rest of the mechanism goes to waste as there is no replacement so you have to take care of all these things.

First of all these new Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro comes in three colours - Phantom Black, Phantom Violet and Phantom Silver. These earbuds are IPX7 so they are water-resistant up to 1 m in freshwater though the case is not waterproof. It means that the normal rain and sweat won't make any difference to the quality of earbuds and they will still work after the same. You can even drop them into a glass of water and they will still work afterwards which is amazing. Saying that part of the feature though you shall always take care of the charging points should not be wet when you put them in the case or while charging the earbuds. Some days back Samsung launched care information too about all of their earbuds in the market from Galaxy Buds, Buds Plus, Buds Live and Buds Pro. If you want I can bring in some of the facts from the post, let me know if you want that on my blog. For your general information, Poly Consumer material has been used to make these earbuds and charging case which includes some 20% recycled plastic too. That's a great cause for nature considering how many millions of units will be produced and sold by Samsung.

Galaxy Buds Pro earbuds are a little heavier at 6.3 grams each as compared to 5.6g of Buds Live. The charging case is 44.9 grams whereas 42.4 grams in Buds Live. The battery of the earbuds is 61mAh and the case is 472mAh which is almost similar to Galaxy Buds Live exception being 60mAh in Buds Live. These earbuds still give 1 hour of playback with 5 minutes of charging. The case comes with a wireless power share where it can be charged using your Galaxy smartphone if it can provide wireless reverse charging. The charging case has a hump as compared to the Buds Live to accommodate the same battery despite a different design and to secure the in-ear earbuds using some strong magnets which don't fall even if you shake the open case.

The earbuds have an 11mm woofer that provides deeper bass and a 6.5mm tweeter for crisp treble which is the powerhouse behind the clear audio quality along with several sensors built into it. I am sure I am a big fan of treble myself hence I felt magically attached to these earbuds as the previous versions didn't have so much treble. 3 microphones, a voice pickup unit and a windshield provide great voice quality during calls or video recordings. All this setup provides great clear audio and less noise during the calls. ANC and Ambient Sound are the features enhanced over previous versions with giving users the opportunity to control their ANC with 2 adjustable levels and ambient with 4 adjustable levels along with voice detect all controlled via the Samsung Wear App.

Each earbud gives around 8 hours of playback along with the case giving another playback of 20 hours totalling 28 hours without ANC. With ANC, the same reduces to 5 hours and the case gives 13 hours totalling 18 hours which is quite a reduction in the number of hours. The technology inside these earbuds is huge and miniaturing the circuit board and the battery is what innovation is all about. We generally only see the casing outside and the audio performance but what's working inside to produce that audio performance is beyond our imagination. The intelligence on these Buds Pro is such that it switches from ANC to ambient sound and lower the music volume for your conversation. It detects your own voice too if you start singing while listening to music which sometimes is irritating and needs software improvement. Though the feature won't get turned on if it senses that it's an external noise and not a human voice that is really intelligent.

Active Noise Cancellation reduces up to 99% of noise reduction along with the passive isolation the earbuds provide. Ambient sound also provides up to 20dB amplification. I generally don't use ANC these days as we are always at home and at home, you need to listen to the doorbell as once when I was using it - a family who has to come to meet us, kept ringing the doorbell and I could not hear it too and then they called my wife to open the door as she was walking outside. I have even crossed many walls before which the Bluetooth connection drops on these earbuds so the amount of money you are paying for them is well worth the price. People have compared these with the Sony and Apple Earbuds too and found that these are worthy of the top position. I don't have the other two to test them out but I am totally in love with these ones for sure and these ones have brought my love for music back again right in my sense of listening.

I totally am in the love with the best Samsung can offer in terms of True Wireless Audio earphones and enjoying every song I listen to on these Galaxy buds pro. The quality of this product is amazing and the durability is also great. The product is retailing for around R3999 and is included in some of the bundled packages with the smartphone. I am sure it will easily last me for more than 2-3 years. In the recent software updates, Samsung has provided the update to use even a single earbud in ANC mode as well as ambient noise mode which was not the case earlier. I am waiting for that update to happen on my earbuds and then I can keep myself focused on the tasks as well as music in my ears. Thanks to Samsung South Africa for launching them in this country and I am reaping its benefits for sure! Thanks!!!

Cheers!!!

Meet @SamsungMobileSA #GalaxyBudsPro: Epic Sound for Every Moment #SamsungUnpacked

Hi Friends,

Samsung's best-ever earbuds pack a punch with unrivalled sound quality, intelligent ANC and seamless connectivity, all encased in an impeccable design

Samsung has announced the launch of its next-generation earbuds: Galaxy Buds Pro. These earbuds feature immersive sound, exceptional call quality, intelligent ANC and enhanced connectivity across your devices – all packed into a modern and sleek design. Galaxy Buds Pro represent Samsung’s most premium earbuds offering to date, built to help you get the most out of your work, entertainment, and everything in between.

“As people look for technology that can help them adapt to new routines and lifestyles, the market for a truly wireless earbud has expanded substantially, and consumer expectations have risen,” said Justin Hume, Director: Integrated Mobility at Samsung South Africa. “With Galaxy Buds Pro, we’re making a big statement with a small device, offering users a one-of-a-kind audio experience that makes even everyday tasks truly epic.”

Unparalleled Sound & Call Quality

A premium earbuds experience always starts with sound. Whether you use your earbuds to play music on a run or listen to podcasts on the way to work, audio quality is what matters most. Galaxy Buds Pro offer a more comprehensive sound, sporting an 11-millimetre woofer for deeper bass and a 6.5-millimetre tweeter for richer treble. This delivers Samsung’s best audio experience yet – a dynamic, balanced sound. So, whether it’s a rhythmic hip hop groove or intricate classical melody, you can enjoy your music just as the artist intended, anytime and anywhere.

But earbuds aren’t just for entertainment anymore – they’ve become crucial for work communication, and call quality is more important than ever. Galaxy Buds Pro separate your voice from unwanted sounds with three microphones and a Voice Pickup Unit (VPU), ensuring you are heard as clearly as possible. One of the outer microphones also has a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) rating, further eliminating background noises. In addition, Samsung has integrated its new Wind Shield technology into Galaxy Buds Pro. While a less protrusive shape minimises the wind contact area, a specially designed chamber with mesh filters out wind interference. Your phone calls have never been clearer, even if you’re stuck in windy weather.

Most Intelligent ANC on True Wireless Earbuds

The Galaxy Buds Pro experience is about hearing more of what you love, and less of what you don’t. That’s why Galaxy Buds Pro have the most intelligent ANC capabilities of any true wireless earbuds. When you need to focus on work—or tune out the world around you and relax—you can reduce the background noise by up to 99 percent, fine-tuning to your preferred level. And with Ambient Sound, you can choose to amplify nearby sounds by more than 20 decibels, meaning you can adjust and personalise according to your needs. This feature is ideal for busy multitaskers – those working from home while looking after a child or those who want to take a run through the city while keeping an ear open for oncoming traffic.

What’s more, ANC and Ambient Sound automatically work together, adapting to your surroundings, to optimise your audio experience. Galaxy Buds Pro recognise when you’re speaking, and they can automatically switch between cancelling nearby sounds and amplifying them. They will also turn down your music when you want to talk, even if you are using Ambient Sound or have ANC turned off. This technology allows you to hear and communicate more effectively and makes Galaxy Buds Pro the perfect tool for daily use.

An Even More Seamless Galaxy Experience

Galaxy Buds Pro are an integral extension of the Galaxy ecosystem – our most seamless earbuds yet. Now, you can automatically toggle your earbuds connection between your Galaxy smartphones and tablets based on your usage – no manual adjustments required. For example, if you’re watching a video on your Galaxy Tab S7 and then receive a call on your Galaxy S21, the all-new Auto Switch feature will pause the video and let you answer the phone using Galaxy Buds Pro. Once the call is over, your earbuds instantly switch back to your tablet; the video plays again, and you can hear the sound with your earbuds.

Galaxy Buds Pro also expand your audio experience by connecting with other Galaxy devices – especially Galaxy S21. You can enjoy realistic and immersive sound on your Galaxy Buds Pro, wherever you go with the 360 Audio featuring Dolby Head TrackingTM technology, which enables you to stay at the canter of the scene. For vloggers, you can clearly capture your voice and surrounding sound by synchronising the mics on your Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy S21. Galaxy Buds Pro also boast Game Mode, so when reduced audio latency is paired with Galaxy S21’s powerful performance and immersive display, you can take your gaming experience to the next level.

No matter how you use your Galaxy Buds Pro, you can do so without worrying about battery life. When fully charged, you get up to 8 hours of playback, with an additional 20 hours of reserve power available in the wireless charging case. Even when using ANC, you can still enjoy 5 hours of playback with 13 hours more available in the case. If you end up running out of juice, you can gain one hour of playtime after just five minutes of quick charging.

New Stylish & Purposeful Design

Galaxy Buds Pro aren’t just great to use; they also look great. Taking inspiration from Galaxy Buds Live’s innovative and iconic shape, Galaxy Buds Pro feature an updated, more ergonomic form factor. The shape of the canal-type earbuds improves sound quality and looks less protrusive and more natural when in your ears. This new design also reduces the contact area between your ear and the bud, improving comfort and minimising any clogged-up feeling.

In addition, Galaxy Buds Pro was designed to give you added peace of mind. They are protected with an IPX7 water resistance rating, the highest standard of water resistance in the Galaxy Buds line. And now, worrying about losing an earbud is a thing of the past. SmartThings Find can easily locate either of your earbuds, even when they’re out of Bluetooth range or completely out of your sight, misplaced in a distant location. Galaxy Buds Pro were also built to help cut down on waste – using 20 percent environmentally conscious Post-Consumer Materials (PCM).

Availability

Galaxy Buds Pro come in three stunning colours: timeless Phantom Black and Phantom Silver, and an incredible Phantom Violet to match with your Galaxy S21. Galaxy Buds Pro will be available in select markets starting from January 15th.

My Observations- Samsung is back to the normal in-canal earbuds design after experimenting with the Beans design in Galaxy Buds Live. 12mm speaker has been made 11mm to accommodate an extra 6.5mm tweeter unit which will definitely give better sound. Also, the battery on earbuds has increased by 1mAh though the case remains the same. The Wings or the tips are taken away from the earbuds. The charging case has a kind of hump when you open them to do what I am not so sure as the battery on the charging case is still the same. The ANC has improved now with more intelligence. Earbuds weight is now more from 5.6g to 6.3g and also charging case is now 44.9g as compared to 42.2g in Galaxy Buds Live. So definitely, there are some minute changes in the whole setup and it looks like the refined combination of glossy Galaxy Buds Live and matte Galaxy Buds + earphones. I am keen to try them out if I get the chance to review them.

Cheers!!!
