Stationery Review 316 - Mickey Mouse Laptop Sticker by Creative Stationery SA

Hi Friends,

I got these stickers from a Disney Goodies bag, if I remember correctly, long back when I used to be getting invited to their launch events. These are created by the Creative Stationery South Africa for your personal use. I am sure you can buy them from the stationery shops in South Africa, like Sandton Stationery and Print in Sandton City, and from various online retailers as well. 

This is a sticker which has a nice sticking capability and is made up of transparent plastic paper with great Disney characters in love. Mickey and Minnie Mouse are the kids' and adults' favourites around the world. Last year, when I was at Disneyworld in Los Angeles, I came to know how much preparation people do to enjoy it, wearing the same kind of t-shirts, hoodies and also whether it's their first trip or second or third, etc. People pair themselved in same kind of clothes so as to enjoy the park together and have great photographs.

Stationery Review 186 - Mickey Mouse Disney Bookmarks

Hi Friends, 

I bought this from a local reseller of AliExpress who brings some stuff from there in bulk and sells it in South Africa. Check it out! 

These bookmarks are made from metal, and the colour may fade away, but the shapes will remain forever. The same looks great inside the books and different. You can also tie around some kind of ribbon if you want.

Mickey Mouse is celebrating his 90th anniversary this year. In order to commemorate the beloved character’s 90th Anniversary, Samsung is collaborating with Disney on an exhibition that will travel to 3 South African cities and delight fans and families alike, as they journey with Mickey over the years.

Mickey’s status as a ‘true original’ and his global impact on popular culture will be showcased in the Mickey the True Original South African Exhibit in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. Featuring 4 sections highlighting Mickey’s innovation, his evolution, influence on fashion and also pop culture, the exhibition is brought to you by Samsung and in association with Edgars, and will visit:

· Sandton City, Centre Court: 28 September – 14 October 2018
· Gateway Theatre of Shopping, Expo Explore Court: 19 October – 11 November 2018
· Canal Walk Shopping Centre. Centre Court: 16 November – 26 November 2018

Minnie Mouse Received STAR On #Hollywood #WalkOfFame For Her 90th Anniversary @Disney #DisneyAfrica

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored Disney’s Minnie Mouse today with an official star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Special guest speakers included Disney Chairman and CEO Robert A. Iger, and global pop icon and judge of ABC’s “American Idol,” Katy Perry. The star was dedicated to the category of Motion Pictures next to the El Capitan Theatre.

“Minnie Mouse has been a star and a fashion icon since she first burst onto the scene in the ground-breaking animated classic, Steamboat Willie,” said Robert A. Iger, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “The star of more than 70 movies during her illustrious career, Minnie has entertained millions of people around the world, touching hearts and bringing joy wherever she goes. We’re thrilled to see her cultural influence and many achievements recognized with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

A veteran of more than 70 films, Minnie Mouse is one of Hollywood’s most recognized global stars, delighting kids and families for generations. Loved for her infectious, upbeat personality, Minnie’s iconic style has also made her a muse for fashion designers, artists, and fans around the globe. Her classic polka dot look has been constantly reimagined by the fashion industry from her early pill-box flower hat, which influenced ladies’ hat trends, to her famous bow and ears.
