Thanks to WriteSpoke Store in South Africa for sending this Online Fountain Pen. This is the first time I have had an Online Branded fountain pen. The nib is really great and writes beautifully. The ink flow is awesome. This pen comes with an ink cartridge that can be used in this pen, and also the same can be used in Lamy pens if used from the other side. Check it out!
Online is a German brand targeted at students and young adults alike. The brand was founded in 1991 by a family business led by Thomas and Alexandra Batsch in Neumarkt. Currently, they have a staff of 100+ people, and their writing instruments are available in more than 56 countries.
This particular pen can definitely be compared with the Platinum Preppy and Pilot Kakuno and all the other entry-level variants that have gained popularity in the pen community. The plastic body design, the dual tone colours, the steel nib, the ink flow, the metallic clip, the ink window, various body colours, lightweight and the bigger body size, etc, work in favour of this pen.
Due to the silicon grip, this pen won't last as long as the other ones, so it's the only factor that's hampering the growth. The target market for this pen is also the students so that it can be used and thrown away though any adults can use it years on years for sure.
