Stationery Review 276 - Diplomat Magnum John Doe Fountain Pen (F)

Hi Friends,

I bought this Diplomat Magnum from Cult Pens UK based on the video recommendation of Drew when he used to work at Goulet Pens for best best-looking violet pens. I really loved the same, and the nib is awesome. It's my first time checking the brand and totally fallen in love with the same.

I have really fallen in love with this pen that's good for school students to college, from kids to adults alike. This has a steel nib that's really smooth to write with because the fine is a little bit towards the medium on this pen. I really love Diplomat Aero, which is my dream pen in its aluminium body design from the brand, and I don't own it yet, especially the one with black and white stripes.

Stationery Review 262 - Caran d'ache 849 Ballpoint Pen Nespresso India Green (GBP 18)

Hi Friends,

I always wanted to buy this Caran d'ache 849 ball point pen since I first saw the same. I bought the same in one of the sales from Cult Pens UK and brought it here. This is a nice Nespresso India Green Limited Edition that I really loved, as this is made from the aluminium used in the capsules. Check it out!

Caran d'ache 849 is really a famous pen that comes in thousands of different body designs, though the refill remains the same as Goliath, which can write 8000 meters in one recharge. This is the longest I have ever heard a jotter refill can go in any pen from any brand. This pen has been collaborated with a lot of brands to give them as a gift to many of their customers. I really loved this one and always wanted to have one, and this one I got when Cult Pens had it on special or with discounts. The price of this pen in South Africa is around ZAR 595 at takealot.com, but it's the regular body designs that are cheaper. The special designer editions can go for more than ZAR 8000 as well and start from much more than ZAR 595.

Stationery Review 261 - Kaweco Collection Iridescent Pearl Fountain Pen (GBP 21)

Hi Friends,

I bought this particular colour despite all the colours that are available from Kaweco. The pearl's shine attracted me towards the same. I didn't get it anywhere in South Africa but found it on Cult Pens, UK website and ordered it immediately. Check it out!

This is really a lightweight pen with an acrylic body design. The shine is really pearlish and comes with an ink cartridge in blue coloured ink. I also got 6 ink cartridges for free when I ordered it and chose Smokey Grey. This is a coloured ink that you buy with lots of hopes, but always get disappointed because you can use pencils directly rather than the pen. The nib choices in the Kaweco range are from Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad and Extra Broad.

There must be some history behind the naming convention of these inks may be on authors or writers or noble prize winners. Diamine Gruntled Guava is really a nice ink, which in Hindi we can call Kesari colour. Gruntled means happy, and here, the guava is happy and has created this colour. Diamine Ink names are really great, and I really like yellow-orange colours the most.

Stationery Review 157 - Diamine Becky Fountain Pen Ink from Cult Pens @CultPens

Hi Friends,

Diamine has some of the inks named after person names as well. I am not so sure why they did do so, if you know then please let me know. In the next few days, we will showcase more of such inks which are named after people's names. Diamine Becky is a dark brown ink that really feels like a pigmented. As a matter of fact, all these ink names after individuals are highly pigmented as compared to all the inks in the range of diamine inks.

Some of these inks are available at Sandton Stationery & Print shop in Sandton City. Some more colours are available at Applebee Pens in Johannesburg and the WriteGear store in Cape Town. These are also available at WriteSpoke and WriteGear Online Stores as well. The price of these inks is around ZAR 100 for a 30ml bottle.

Hi Friends,

Diamine Bored Banana is also a variant of the Diamine Yellow coloured ink. I really loved it, and we can do some mystery mixing of the inks to create some new colours in the coming days. As I told you earlier, that Yellow is the colour that's required the most if you want to create your own ink colours. Check it out!

Hi Friends, 

Diamine Twilight is the ink I would have never checked out if this was not part of the 16 inks package from Cult Pens UK. This is what happens when you get these random inks, and maybe you will like them as a surprise. I also do mystery unboxing only because of the same reason, because it's so much fun. This ink is really nice if you are trying to find an alternative to black ink. Check it out!

Stationery Review 154 - Diamine Ancient Copper Fountain Pen Ink from Cult Pens @CultPens

Hi Friends,

Diamine Ancient Copper is the first ink I sought after and found the same at Sandton Stationery & Print. The batch of the 30ml ink I got from there was not alright. So when this ink came back in a 12ml bottle, it gave me a chance to see the actual colour. I totally loved this one when I saw the ink swabs from various retail brands. This will definitely feature in my top 10 inks when we do the favourites after finishing all the 32 inks from Diamine. Check it out.
