This is the start of something amazing…the smell of fresh country air, the sight of a number of rolling hills and countless trees, the feeling that you have arrived and that you probably never want to leave! We like to call it, The Retreet. Which has indeed been spelt “correctly” because it has two meanings…the meaning of ‘a place to relax’ as many of us would know a retreat as, but we have also used the word ‘tree’ in the name to represent the significant symbolism of trees of which a few include strength, wisdom, beauty and protection. So yes, we do like to consider ourselves just that, a relaxed haven, set in nature with the best intention to empower and inspire women!

Well that may sound like a bold statement, but let’s repeat the last few words, empower and inspire women…and yes, we say it like that because in the day of the 20th century, with technology as one of our only empowering tools, the boss/media/partner/husband or child as our instructor, it is time that women took a stance again and put our values where they will be most valued – and that is within!

This is no ‘burn the bra’ society or feminist group, we simply reference ourselves as a women sanctuary where women will be inspired, express themselves through creativity or just let their hair down and have some fun:

BE INSPIRED: Through the words of well versed, experienced and most of all, life trained coaches we aim to inspire women through an array of topics to encourage conversation and from that action to only make your life and the choices we make a better one.

CREATIVITY: We want women to use the art of creation to further encourage them by not only teaching them something new, or converting something from nothing to something, but to also recognise that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, because after all we are all unique and this is an opportunity for women to truly express themselves.

FUN: Who doesn’t agree that laughter is one of the best forms of medication? After all life is meant to be lived, and in it we should laugh loud and laugh often. We want women to forget about their worries and cherish moments such as these to have a bit of fun!

At the end of the day, The Retreet is not run by Professors or Doctors, but women who feel the desperate need to give other women a chance to be the best that they can be, so we want to provide a platform for all women, from all walks of life and speakers and facilitators from all spheres of knowledge to come and just make life a better one for all!
