Hi Friends, 

This is one of the first Bluetooth earphones I got long ago at one of the rAge Expo in an around-ear and neckband design and I am still in love with these Budds by DJ Fresh. The motto of the same is to Cut the cord, not the performance.

Using Fujifilm X-T30 camera

These Budds pack the deep bass in a great format within this design and gives a performance of around 4 hours non-stop. After more than 3 years of use, it's not giving that much but works for around 90-120 minutes in a single charge.

The rechargeable battery inside these BUDDS is 90mAh and can be easily charged up to its full capacity in around 60 minutes using the micro-USB cable. The end to end length of the cable is 60cm. The Bluetooth version is 4.1 with a 10m range.

The product was available in two color combinations and I totally loved one with yellow and black.

The Budds audio performance is power-packed by its 10mm Titanium Speaker which gives a solid output in its lightweight body which is also sweat resistance. The package is packed with a small oval case which is made of great material which also has a mesh containing the extra buds and a micro-USB cable to charge the unit.

The left side of the Budds only contains a microphone and the right side has the power button along with volume up and down buttons along with the micro-USB charging point. There is a light on the right-hand side which flashes blue to show the power on and off along with voice commands every time you switch it on and off. The light turns red when the battery is low and also it switched alternately when the Bluetooth is in pairing mode.

Budds also has the crystal clear sound and one of the best I have ever reviewed in any of the devices I own. The earphones also offer hands-free calls using the built-in microphone. The product is out of the market now with the lowest price retailing at OneDayOnly at R279 per piece in 2018.

Budds offer noise isolation using the silicon earbuds and don't fall off even when you are running or exercising. These earbuds are great at producing great audio experience and it's unfortunate that they went out of the market so soon but if you are able to grab the same from any of the Reduced prices sales at any of the online retailers, you can definitely grab the same if you love bass. The value for money the product offers is immense as I have been using the same since October 2016 and still going strong and also I gave these to my wife for her office use and still they survived so it must be an amazing product because last time I gave her my iPod Nano (gifted by my brother on my 26th birthday) and she lost the same within the first 3-4 days of using it. Samsung Mobiles in South Africa has been an activation powerhouse after the launch of its latest smartphones in various shopping malls around the country. It's getting bigger and better every year as their smartphones are growing better and bigger too. I have always been a participant of these activations as a general public since Samsung Galaxy S5 where I got a steel water bottle printed with my name way back in 2014 or so at Sandton City. 

For Galaxy S6/S7/S8, I didn't get a chance to attend these activations and deprived myself of awesome goodies given away.

Last year when they launched Samsung Galaxy S9, I was there and again got myself a cool plastic water bottle by participating in their activations and activities. They also give away a lot of earphones, speakers and even the latest smartphones. Later, at S9 event I won myself by taking a guided tour and answering the questions asked by putting my hand first to win myself Samsung Uflex wireless earphones.

This year, with the launch of S10, they made it even bigger with the prize being R10000 cash but unfortunately, I was not able to find time to participate in the guided tours. The list was always full for the whole day as the stakes were very high. I have seen people celebrating their wins and R10000 is not a small amount at all. It's like a full month's salary for many. Kudos to Samsung for bringing those smiles on many lucky ones.

Samsung Scoop Speakers

This year my only satisfaction was to get a Samsung Scoop Speakers by getting myself enrolled in Samsung Pay with FNB Credit/Cheque Card and paying R10 for the same. It's a great speaker and I will review the same too later. I really loved the design of the speaker and shared some photos on my Instagram channel too.

This year Samsung's New brand ambassador Cassper Nyovest also performed on one of the days in Sandton City Mall. The activation in gaming has all the top gamers around the country working on all the 2 weekends full days at all the malls. I am sure activation this year is one of the biggest ever in the history of Samsung South Africa.  Heartiest Congratulations to the Samsung for spending so much for the benefit of end consumers like myself and others in this Rainbow Nation!
