Stationery Review 182 - The Great Break - A5 Leather Journal Cover - Adventure Range

I bought this one after waiting and drooling over all the products from The Great Break. I think the A5 size and this leather design convinced me to do so, and I wanted to compare it against the TRC (Midori) Journal covers as well. The quality is really good on this one as well, with leather a little bit thicker and metal loops for the string, whereas in TRC, the holes are directly in the leather cover. I totally love the personalization on this one, though the string is thicker on the same. It comes with a leather bookmark and an extra string to get more notebooks inside the leather cover. I missed the new notebooks to go with the same that comes along with the Midori (TRC) range. The Great Break team is really helpful and updates you during the whole journey after ordering, till it's couriered to your address.

The same is around ZAR 895, and there a courier fees as well. If you don't use the first-time code, then you will pay around ZAR 960, as ZAR 65 is the courier charges. Personalization only costs ZAR 35, so the overall cost will be ZAR 995 for each cover, but it will include a ZAR 75 bookmark also included in the same.

The leather cover has three tan options - Chocolate, Toffee, and Coffee. Personalization also gives you some font options (DM Serif Text, Asul and Baskerville). You can also do Journal Title and Name Engraving with 25 characters at a maximum. The same is getting reflected on the cover I ordered for myself. Stationery Review 136 - EXPERTS Agree This TRC Logo Brass Clip is a Game Changer

Hi Friends,

I bought this Traveler's Company TRC Logo Brass Clip from Amazon.com for USD 19 including the taxes. Check this out as I saw both the designs at the Maido SF store in Japan Town, San Francisco, California. It was around USD 25 + taxes there so I thought of not buying the same from there.

I am a fan of all things leather and brass/copper/silver/gold or any other precious metal. These metals make things durable and they last for a long time. My brother had the TRC Brass Ruler which he wanted to give to me but I didn't take it as I have many other metal rulers available with me. The quality of the ruler was amazingly great too so it led me to get one of the metal clips as well.

My first experience with brass was the Kaweco Brass Sports Fountain Pen that my brother really liked and I handed the same to him as it was in his favourite medium-sized nib as well though the pen has a Fine nib but due to the weight or a regular, they writes a little bit bolder than the Japanese nibs.

Coming back to this TRC Logo brass clip it keeps the journal page down due to its weight supporting the same. You can also use the same as a bookmark and also to keep your book open while your hands are not free. I really like that in case you want to take notes in your diary and it helps to keep the book open.

Due to its square design, it's really a good one as it can go deep inside the journal/book and also has a hole in the back so that it can be attached to the journal or book covers so that you don't leave it behind. The clip doesn't have any design on the back which is a missed opportunity as it would be great to write something like MADE IN JAPAN or something of that sort.
