@YoungLivingAF Essential Oils Takes A Sho’t Left #YoungLivingAfrica #EssentialOils #HealthAndWellness

Hi Friends,

Recent press coverage and, even conversations held in social circles tell us that there are a few South Africans who don’t feel patriotic enough to remain and build what’s left of the ruins the country has suffered given its various inherited legacy issues. USA (Utah) headquartered company Young Living Essential Oils feels entirely different when it comes to investing in South Africa and her people. The company today, celebrated the planting of its offices in local soil, specifically at their new offices in Clearwater Office Park in Roodepoort, Johannesburg. The unveiling of the newly-constructed building is part of the company's commemoration of its 25-year anniversary.

The company was initially started by its Founder, the late D. Gary Young who created the company based on his interest in essential oils due to suffering back injuries from a fall in the late 1970s. Young Living now impressively has a locational presence across seven continents in more than 30 countries.

“I’ve been here nearly a week now and am truly impressed by the unique spirit of love and hospitality South Africans possess and bring to our global table. After experiencing the country for myself, I can say with confidence and pride that it was a wise decision to invest in the country,” said President and CEO of Young Living Essential Oils, Mary Young. “I have discovered that the nationals also pride themselves in valuing people and demonstrate the spirit of ubuntu through every aspect of their lives particularly, in business culture. I have noticed that those fortunate enough to own businesses in the country conduct their affairs with not only a high level of professionalism but, also with kindness and generosity which brings that special essence which ubuntu affords versus doing business across the rest of the globe,” said Young.

“The country’s people are as committed to positive change as we are. This makes me not only proud but, deeply honored to be launching an official office in the country’s business hub namely, the City of Johannesburg. It is widely known the world over that South Africans are hard-working and inspirational individuals. They value and maximize on an opportunity, particularly in the business arena,” she said. The company’s core business is the distillation and sale of high-end and concentrated essential oils. Secondary to its core function is the entrepreneurship opportunity it affords an individual due to its network marketing structure. The company already boasts a few high rollers in its South African region with some, bank-rolling an excess of R800k a month. “This business suits the person who works hard and likes to dictate their own success,” said Kemble Morgan, Country Manager for Africa. “I have a keen passion to see particularly, the previously disadvantaged youth of South Africa mobilized to create their own wealth by joining the business and creating their own networks,” he said.

In a recent article published in Forbes.com, Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, talks about our world being on the brink of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), which is ‘characterised by a range of new technologies that are fusing the physical, digital and biological worlds, impacting all disciplines, economies and industries, and even challenging ideas about what it means to be human.’ In addition to this truth, there is widespread speak across countries and sectors to broaden the way we view our incomes. It simply isn’t best or wise professional practice to generate one stream of income from a 9-5 job. This means that entrepreneurship is becoming more of a buzzword as we journey towards the future. South Africa is fast making strides in this arena. Young millennials are grabbing the proverbial bull by the horns and maximizing their potential for success through venturing into business. “I am motivated and seek to motivate the country’s youth to see change come to South Africa. I believe that we are a country rich in natural resources and in talented people with a natural flair for entrepreneurship,” he said.

Young Living is already reaping its harvest from its South African investment. “To date, we have 2,448 page likes on our Young Living South African page, over 1 000 amount of members signed up as of May 2018 and look forward to hearing about the successes our South African teammates will soon be reaping through working on and growing their Young Living businesses,” said Morgan.
