Donavin Nel from Garden Route Casino in fourth place won R75000; Johannes Botha from Goldfields in fifth won R50000; Anneke Janse van Rensburg from The Caledon won R25000 in seventh; and Silindeni Mpala from Montecasino won R10000 in ninth place. There were also eighth place and tenth place winners who won R20000 and R6900 respectively.

A total of over R3 million in cash and FreePlay was paid out over the course of the exciting eight-week tournament. Steve Hight, Tsogo Sun’s Director of Gaming, congratulated the top 10 prize winners, “We’re delighted at the enthusiastic response by the public to this action-packed tournament, which has seen players coming back again and again at all of our 14 casinos since it launched on 20 July.”

The buy-in price for the Slots Factor Tournament was R100 cash, which made it accessible to everyone and entitled the participant to one entry into the tournament. “Every cent of the buy-ins across the 14 casinos contributed to the final prize money, which meant that in the final tally, the total prize money was over R600000 higher than originally anticipated – giving every one of the top 10 prizes a hearty boost,” he explains.

Tsogo Sun’s portfolio includes over 90 hotels and 14 casino and entertainment destinations throughout South Africa, Africa, the Seychelles and Abu Dhabi. The Group operates in all segments of the hotel market from Deluxe to Budget. For further information, visit, follow on Twitter @TsogoSun or on
